Quick to respond, I was only gathering information but the business did a great job of communicating facts about ice delivery

This service is unreliable. My ice was 1.5 hours late and my guests had warm drinks when they arrived.

Twisted Sweets and Savory - Hungarian on Jalapeño Bagel sandwich!

    Twisted Sweets and Savory

Twisted Sweets and Savory had been on my radar for quite some time. Yet, it took us quite a while…read moreto give it a try. In part, that was us not quite able to figure out exactly where it was. Grant Street, it turns out, is disjointed. In other words, it's not like it's just a straight shot from one end to the other. We stopped in here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place closes at 6 p.m., and are closed on Sunday. At that time of day, they weren't at all busy. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.

I settled for the Hungarian sandwich and I tried the cannoli and pistachio twists. I loved all- they were delicious! I can't wait to go back!

Ice Cream Jubilee is okay. So far, I've only tried three different flavors. My first time trying…read moreIce Cream Jubilee was at a Yelp event at the Arlington location. They were only offering up two different seasonal flavors for those of us attending the event. I can't remember which flavor I tried but I thought it was okay but not all that memorable. The second time I tried was at the Reston location. That time I tried a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Now that one was good. The vanilla flavoring was very prominent and the ice cream was smooth in texture. Recently, I went again to this location. Looking over the flavors, I was torn. Do I try the "coffee toffee" or "salted caramel". Since I really like "salted caramel", that was what I chose. As I sat there eating it, I found myself wishing that I had chosen "coffee toffee". Try as I might, I barely tasted any caramel and absolutely no salt. What a disappointment! If they are going to offer this flavor, then it would be expected to be able to clearly taste the salt and the caramel. Both times, service was good at the Reston location, no problems there. As for ambiance, it's quiet and laid back (at least it was that way when I was there). All that said, I may go back at some point and try another flavor. Well...time will tell..

The dairy-free, gluten free shop can be easy to miss when you pull into sunset park dr. Look out…read morefor the signs that say "Ice cream this way" :-) No complaints about anything really. The service has consistently been chill and pleasant. Although they don't expose their ice cream the same way other shops do, samples are available. I hope the premium price tag does not deter anyone who is in search of premium ice cream. I don't know what they put in their ice cream I just know that each flavor I've tried there was no guilt induced after taste. My all time favorite is the Strawberry Fields Sammie. It is (real) strawberry ice cream between two corn meal cookies and it is huge. I like how the ice cream doesn't melt super easily so any mess is minimal. Tip: If you decide to give this place a try, please note their location's hours. They're only open fridays 12-6pm, sat & sun 11am-4pm

Went to have dinner around Sterling-Reston area with some friends that in fact are vegan, so we thought why not have some dessert here. This is fully dairy-free and plant based ice cream shop, although my review is only for the Sammies, which are ice cream cookies. The Sammies resemble to what you can get at a grocery store but vegan? As an ice cream person, it truly hurts me giving them a low rate because the ice cream is not as great and decadent (I understand that using full fat cream or milk would make the ice cream not have freezer burns) but for a vegan and gluten free alternative, I think they stand out a lot. These are not like Insomnia Cookie or Captain Chip cookie sandwiches, since these are pre-made in their little shop! The person at the cashier really didn't explain much about the ice cream options besides telling us that it's either jars, sammies and pints. The coffee break cookie base was dark chocolate, imagine Oreo flavor, and the coffee ice cream lacked of flavor, I couldn't tell if it's just oat milk cream or almond, but barely could taste coffee or espresso. My favorite was truly the Island Chip, which was a coconut lime cookie (the flavor combo was spot on and the coconut flakes on top provided crunch), the lime added tang while the ice cream itself was a coconut cream base with chocolate bits, flavors that worked together beautifully!! By far a great cookie sandwich flavor, I just wish the ice cream had a creamier texture less like a block i would say they need to improve the texture, but maybe it's just the Sammie... I might give it a try to one of their pints, but to be honest I liked that coconut lime cookie best. The shop is tiny, there are no seating, it's just to grab and go your frozen treats!
