It's conveniently located near my father in law so if I need to run to the grocery store or whatever reason I can come up with I can stop here for a quick beer The beer is really good, great IPAs and everyone seems to really like the fruit beers. This is a regular spot for some friends that live here and I can see why. First time trying this brewery and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I stopped by this past Sunday around 5 or 6pm and even though it wasn't packed at all, I loved how much seating there was! There were many picnic tables inside, a couch, and bar seating. Very family + doggie friendly as well. The music was on point and overall really good vibez at this brewery! We tried the Sour Cran-Cherry Queen (SO GOOD!), Watermelon IPA, Grapefruit IPA, Cream Ale, and a Flight with Mango Shandy, Pomona Queen, Sub Lemonal, and El Cucuy. My favorites were the Cran-Cherry and Sub Lemonal! It is a nice space to enjoy a beer with some friends or family. There are plenty of board games to play. We had a high school reunion event on Friday night, and the venue was perfect. I showed up early to sample one of two hazy IPAs. We had at least 50 people at the event, and they had roped off the section near the brewing area, there were some picnic tables to sit down and a separate tap with fewer beer selections and some grape-based beverages as well - and they had a caterer at the roll up door (who I'd give a four-star review because his hors d'oeuvres were terrific and he really hustled!) They also had a food truck out front with some good stuff. It's a warehouse brewery near the airport - not much for ambiance but they do have a nice outdoor patio area, and it looks like they have trivia and other events here. Last Name Brewing, henceforward LNB (No, not LMB) is located in a...Why do I have to say this? Of course it's located in an industrial park! Duh! Very welcoming atmosphere with a nice patio out front and plenty of tables inside. We were here on a Monday afternoon, and they are one of the few breweries open early (or at all) on a Monday. There were only two guys at the bar when we walked in but a few more came and went as we worked our way through our flights. Yes, "flights". Don't judge me... "Sub-Lemonal" a nice Pilsner Brewed with local lemons. Nice light flavor with no overpowering lemon to it. I got just a little lemon on the nose, and a little on the taste. Just perfect! "Get Witty Wit It" is a white ale brewed with orange. Slightly hazy with a smooth orange aroma and flavor. The fruit was very well incorporated into the beer. You know how some fruit beers taste like they just mixed a beer with artificial fruit flavoring? None of that here!! The maibock was a good solid beer. A little malty with a bit of a bread flavor at the end. A nice German style beer here. ""My name is Pussy Galore." Bond: "I must be dreaming."" Sorry I couldn't resist a Bond quote in the review, and that one stuck with me from my youth. Anyone know what movie that one is from? Come on! "Blond, James Blond" was a very tasty Belgian blond ale. Nice, smooth. Damn, so far Last Name hasn't given me anything to be critical of. And if you ask my wife me not being critical is just unnatural... Ok, another flight! Watermelon IPA had a nice balance of hops and watermelon flavor. I got the fruit in the aroma but I'm not sure I would have identified the aroma as watermelon without already knowing what it was. It was forward in the flavor though and nicely recognizable. Nicely done! Grapefruit IPA is up next. Holy smoke! ""I thought Christmas only comes once a year." Ok, more Bond quotes. Name the movie! Oh, the beer. Really freaking good! There are tons of grapefruit IPA's out there. But seriously my wife (also known as "She whose panties failed to drop", which to get the joke you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing in Temecula) and I both thought this one was the best we've ever had. Way to go LNB! "Gigawatt" was very juicy but was not my favorite. It probably suffered from having to follow the grapefruit IPA. Still a good beer but this one didn't stand out for me. "Oktoberfiesta" is a nice marzen. Very clean, very tasty. I could drink quite a few of these! There were still too many beers on the menu that sounded good so we dove in for a third flight. Glad we did! I love sour beers! The "Sour Cran-Cherry" was actually really good. It had a little sweetness that balanced the sour a bit. It wasn't one of those that made you think you were eating a warhead. I could drink a pint of this! "Mudders Milk" is a milk stout, thus the name, on nitro. I always enjoy beers on nitro because of that creamy mouth feel, no dirty jokes please, I know how that sounds. Time for another Bond quote to save face, "I have been known to keep my tip up." Wait, that may not be the best one at this point. Anyway, name the Bond movie! Oh right, the beer. Wonderful flavor of chocolate and caramel. Great mouthfeel added by the nitro. Just a damn good stout! "Winter Haze" is a barley wine style ale. Just a solid barley wine. I could drink this in front of my fire in the winter with a golden retriever curled up at my feet. Kinda weird but I finished with the cream ale. Usually you start with something like that but what can I say I'm a black sheep. Of course I prefer not to be a sheep... the cream ale was VERY light, both in color and in flavor. Not my favorite after all the others but still a good example of the style and good for those not interested in the stronger flavored beers. And the music was good, as I sit listening to Pink Floyd sing Comfortably Numb. A little trivia for anyone who thinks that the song is about drug use, it kind of is but it's about being medicated not using drugs recreationally. Ok overall I have to give LNB two thumbs up. Usually I find at least one beer that isn't good, has a weird flavor, or is just plain weird. Hint: lavender doesn't belong in my beers! Stop in to Last Name Brewing. Came here for a school gathering... They had live music playing and this place was kinda tucked in the back corner so it was slightly hard to find but there is decent parking at night. The drinks were pretty good but the spacing of the tables and vicinity to the live music made it hard to converse. read more

With high ratings, we expected amazing beer & environment... What we got was a weird bar area, with a huge line, and awkward seating areas. We weren't sure what to order so we ordered a sample...Every single beer tasted watered down and tasteless. I'm not a huge beer lover and I could compare them to Coors. [Last Name] Brewing- the name is funny and if you think about it, a lot of the major beer brands are last names so I got a kick out of that. The staff are really really nice. It was my first time so I wanted to taste a few of the IPA's and it's always a test that I give to see how patient they are with the newbies. In this case, even though there was a line he was super attentive to finding the beer that I liked. That's a huge plus to me because if I get it right the first time I am super quick the rest of the time. The beer was super good. I had both the 9% DIPA- Hop Pun? It was fantastic. I also had the Runaway IPA which was also really really good. Several people talked highly about Pomona Queen and the Blonde, James Blonde. People were in and out all night with growlers full of all the different beers they have to offer. It was really cool to see. The environment was wonderful. Friendly guest and friendly staff. I could tell they love the art of beer and overall they run a clean shop. The seating is wonderful too. Outside seating in front with heaters as well. There are a few gymnastic centers and other kid heavy businesses in the lot. Pending on the time, they are in the street at blind turns, playing. Check in with Yelp and get a sticker. I visited with a buddy and tried 2 of their beers. I won't rave about the two I had. They were on par with other craft brewers. Hefty selection which will help you find something for your taste buds. Last Name Brewing (formerly Dale Brothers Brewing). I discovered this place 4 years ago when we moved into the area and I'm pretty sure I've helped keep this place in business. Meaning... I drink a lot of their beer. Pomona Queen is their flagship brew. Excellent beer but I tend not to drink it at the brewery. It's kind of common around this hood so I'll only drink Pomona Queen when I'm eating at a local restaurant that offers it. As far as beer that I do drink here, I really love the Red Between the Lines, Runway IPA, and Matt recently turned me onto a very low alcohol (4%) hoppy tasting beer which I really like called "Slacker". These guys are always creating new brews with different catchy names and my wife loves checking those out. I on the other hand, know exactly what I like and don't care about experimenting once I find something I really like. I got nothing bad to say about this place. I love it. The employees are super friendly and I think it's just wonderful on all levels. I have brought friends and family members here and turned them on to this place and they love it too. I made a reservation for 15 people for my son's second birthday. We chose this brewery because he's obsessed with The burger game and they were scheduled to be there that day. It was a lot busier than normal when we got there so they didn't have the tables ready for us at the reserved time. They were extremely apologetic but honestly went above and beyond to make it up to us. They set up more tables for us and had table cloths, balloons, birthday hats, candles for our cake, and a photo board that my son loved. They even gave my son a little toy.
