They go more back so your neck isn't propped up weird & uncomfortable, these are so much more comfortable then other AMC's I've been too! & I looooove me some heated seats haha As someone who is always cold, I absolutely love & live for this option! Very confusing experience at the bar last night. I ordered two margaritas and the bartender told me the policy was "2 drinks per ID." I showed my valid ID and asked to confirm that I could purchase two margaritas. The bartender said yes "2 drinks per ID." Then she asked if I was watching the movie alone. I said no, I was with a friend. After that, he suddenly refused to sell me two drinks because "they are not both for you." What made no sense is that she admitted if I had said I was alone, she would have sold me both drinks. I even spoke with the manager, who said I should be fine because the policy is 2 drinks per ID. My friend is also 41 years old, and I never even said one of the drinks was for him. The entire interaction felt contradictory and unnecessarily difficult. It honestly seemed like honesty was being punished. Very disappointing customer service. Ended up not being able to get drinks. I guess their bar does not need the sales. This review is more cumulative since my first visit in July 2023 (first movie I've seen at this location: Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (in IMAX); quite fun!) Anyhow, I've seen it change from a Dine-In to a regular location, and you know what? I don't really miss the Dine-In option. The food (while novel for the first 6 months or so) wasn't really that much to write home about (if anything, I liked the themed drinks more than the food lol). The burgers were fine... the big pizzas were fine... but it was clear it was meant for one time visitors, the way it was priced (besides, can get a decent meal more so at Lazy Dog ) However, since its change to a regular location (and after changing to a more restrictive diet), my usual go to is a small pep pizza, with some cookies and water (or Blue Moon) to go with. Quite chewy and gooey, the cookies are. The theatres themselves? For someone more plus sized like me, Ironically the regular theatres can be more comfortable in reclining/sitting in versus the more "speciality" ones like Dolby/IMAX. I get it: it's meant for more capacity, but dang it can be a squeeze sometimes. Dolby/IMAX are what you expect for a smaller location like this: Dolby for the sound/vibrant pic quality, IMAX for the big immersion in picture (with the sound slightly muffled at times). It is however, a treat to see a movie in 3D in either specialty theatre. I should also mention I'm currently an A-Lister, hence the slight bias to those formats (however, seeing movies in the regular theatres are just as great (tho, 3D can be underwhelming there). Overall, a pretty serviceable theatre location that's been close to home, a usual go-to for any new releases (or special releases), and one that is slightly better off for no longer being a Dine-In (your mileage definitely varied in service when that was a thing-- sometimes your order wouldn't come at all, had that happen twice; at least with this new system you're close by to ask where your stuff is at). But yea, go have fun at the movies, support them (even if it's a big chain like AMC). read more

I took my kids to watch Super Mario. We got our popcorn and mommy's drink since we accidentally got there too early. We waited in their lounge area. Everything was clean. I was really impressed by their family restroom. We each took our own water bottles. I had purchased some black tickets from work. Sadly, that only discounted the ticket pricing. It used to actually pay for the tickets in full. I just don't see how the prices are so high. That's why I skip watching my movies now in theaters. I wait for them to come out and price goes down to $5 rental. I only bring my kids for the experience but sadly that's going to decrease as well given the increased prices. read more

AMC Montclair Place 12 - Clean restroom - Cinema Near Me - Montclair, California

We came on a Tuesday night during the busy holiday season so the parking lot was packed with all the holiday shoppers. There's a lot of parking out front but its pretty busy. We went up an escalator to get to the theater which is upstairs. They also provide stairs to walk up and down as well. Once upstairs they have a spot to scan your tickets which we purchased in advanced. Highly recommend to do that to ensure you get a seat. We got ours a few days before the showing and some seats were already gone. They also have kiosks on the outside if you would like to purchase tickets there. We headed inside and they told us where to go. We went to see zootopia with my kids which was very good. The theater we were at was small but comfortable. Each seat is a big recliner. You press buttons on the side to go up and down. They're very comfortable to sit in and pretty large. 2 of my kids could have sat in one seat. They also have heated seats! So make sure to use that feature as well. I didn't know about it until the movie was finished but it would have been nice to know. Great spot. We enjoyed the movie. read more

I recently found out that it is no longer dine in so it's a hummer they won't bring your food to your seat anymore :/ that was a big reason why we loved it. It's the @light_skin_dragon coming to you with a family outing that the dearest bought for me and my daughter! She was being nice because our daughter wanted to watch SpongeBob square pants. And she kept her word to our daughter which I appreciate and she even invited me. This AMC had exclusive merchandise for SpongeBob so we bought it for our daughter to create an experience for her. The kid in me never went to the movies with my family but for my daughter I want to give her a life I've never had so I make sure to put my own pride aside most of the times and just to see her smile! I want her innocence to remain and doing things all together to see her smile I will do that. And I appreciate dearest to keeping her word and inviting me because a memory was made. read more

AMC DINE-IN Montclair Place 12 is a really fun spot to watch movies, experiencing the comfort of dining while watching a film. Located in Montclair Place, this place has quickly become one of my favorite theaters. I usually come here to watch the most anticipated movies on IMAX screen. This AMC theater also seems bigger than the one in Ontario Mills. The movie screens are wider than AMC DINE-IN Ontario Mills and the seats are way more comfortable. The spacious seating arrangements ensure that you have ample legroom and a clear view of the screen, no matter where you are seated. Recently I watched "Avatar: Fire and Ash" on IMAX screen and the overall experience was fantastic. The staff here were nice and cooperative. 4++ This location is at the Montclair mall. I've been here a couple of times now (this location has IMAX). On my visit, parking was easy to find - note it was a weeknight and the theater was easily accessible from the parking lot. The concessions area was standard, in a good way, with helpful people. The theater itself was comfortable with great seating and had that big, beautiful IMAX screen. My most recent visit, I went to watch the How to Train Your Dragon 2025 remake here and it was a treat watching it in IMAX. This theater is not too far from where I work on the way home so this location is definitely high in my rotation list in terms of AMC theaters, especially when I want to catch the movies I want to see on an IMAX theater. I just wish I had an IMAX closer to where I lived or worked, but that complaint ventures into 1st world problem territory. read more

Do not come to this theater! AMC completely cheeped out. They no longer have dine in delivery to your seat, they took almost all of the food off the menu and they make you place your order and wait off to the side for 10 minutes while they prepare your food. You are basically limited to popcorn, frozen chicken strips and a hotdog for food. read more

Located at the Montclair Mall. Plenty of parking. It is on the second floor, so may not be the easiest to get to for those that have difficulty walking. This is a Dine In Theater so the chairs in the theaters have tables for food that they can/may deliver to you - nice convenience! The chairs themselves do recline a bit, but not as much as other AMC theaters. One nice feature that the chairs have are seat warmers. They have two settings, which is good because the high setting gets pretty hot. read more

Ive been an AMC member for a long time and was very excited to hear when they planned to open this location since we (as a family) spent alot of time in the local area. This AMC is very convenient to get to right off the 10fwy. Its also attached to the Montclair Shopping Center and has some local eateries nearby so its a great location for entertainment and fun. I love their balcony but I feel its underutilized. They have great amenities such as the Imax experience, Dolby surround, and full beverage bar. Definitely a good place to watch a movie. read more

This is my first time, at this AMC location in the Montclair Plaza. In Montclair, California. All I can say is wow. This was truly an amazing experience. The ambience of this theater takes you back to the 1960s where people really cared about putting people first. I found the theater I was looking for. Put my legs up in this luxurious chair. I love how the sound of the movie you feel in the chairs. While I was watching the movie, I felt my back was getting warmer. This theater warms your seat up for you. I was so happy with this. I am ALWAYS here... due to my A-list membership. I believe in patronizing these locations so that they may stay open and people remain employed. Now having said all that let me remark about how the chairs are inconsistent... some have warmers others don't. If you want to see your movie on Dolby or IMAX you pretty much need to see it the first week a movie premieres after that the showtimes alternate with what ever new movie was released. As far as food goes... I used to love the sampler here but recently they changed the menu so that is no longer my fave. I'm bummed because it doesn't look like they added anything tasty. Removed the Habanero Mango Wings and the Onion Rings. In fact they have really minimalized their menu, which is a bummer because now I will have to go get something to eat before my movie. They also don't get enough between movies to clean the theater properly. Note to moviegoers ordering food... TIP the delivery person. I can't tell you how often I watch these young people hustling into the theater to drop off food and I NEVER see anyone hand them anything. Parking is ample on the side facing the freeway. I'm a manager at another theater and this would be unacceptable. Just want to know promotions and deals for certain movies that come with poster (but not to all locations which is why I'm calling) that I can't find online and no one wants to answer? I understand you're a big corporation but no phones? Especially when it's so slow? No managers near? Can never speak to one, even when I'm there in person, no manager ever onsite to help me. Checked in recently to watch Fantastic 4 First Steps and had such an awesomely fabulous experience thanks to the consistently kind and Professionally attentive Service of the Montclair AMC Staff Squad!! I am originally a Regal Member but my Roommate Dylan insisted we watch Fantastic 4 First Steps at AMC Montclair because of it's Upscale and gorgeously elegant and special design! Dylan was excited to show me how AMC Montclair stands out as an exceptionally charming Movie Night Cave because of the beautiful refreshing balcony, chic loungey indoor chatting area where Sports Fans can watch their favorite games after work and also order fun cocktails at the bar by the Concessions stand! Dylan booked our tickets through his Membership and also informed me that AMC has wonderful Tuesday night half off ticket specials too!! Kyle and Isiah helped us at the Concessions stand and were quick, efficient, and pleasantly friendly in helping us gather yummy snacks too and drinks to enjoy during the Movie. I got a Cherry Icee, Butter drenched Popcorn, a savory and juicy jumbo Hot Dog, and creamy Reese's Peanut Butter Shake and everything tasted on point!! The Manager in Duty ( I think his name was Josh) was a very visibly engaged and helpful Team Leader too!! Him, Kyle, and Josh worked wonderfully as Sonic AMC Hedgehogs to get my Food in my hands as quickly as possible and kept the Condiment stations well stocked with lots of Napkins, Ketchup, Mustard, and even Cholula to give my Hotdog a fun Mexican Sauce Mustache ;0) While watching Fantastic Four a Team Member brought in my Reese's Shake to my seat and I was SO touched and impressed by how consistent the Shake looked like the picture!!! The Team Members who crafted the Reese's Shake followed the Recipe precisely and did not take any shortcuts with making the Shake look like a James Bond Tuxedo version with the Elegantly Sophisticated whipped cream topping, Reese's Crumbles, and a bright red Maraschino Cherry for a perfect finish. I had only danced with a Weinerschitzel Reese's Shake in the past and love how AMC jazzes up the Peanut Butter Shake Sophistication to a whole new level!! I also appreciated how comfy and relaxing the recliner seats were and how I could turn up the temperature when I was feeling chilly in the Theatre. My Favorite Highlights of the night was when the Manager on Duty enthusiastically followed up with me on how my Movie night was going when I was walking back from a bathroom break! He warmly addressed me by name and racked in a grip of Lisa Guardian Sitter points by encouraging me to explore the fun and exciting Motorcycle Universe in a responsible and grounded way like him. Josh models high quality caring and positively influential Funcle Points just like the Fantastic Funcles in the Movie!! I appreciate Josh for taking the time to give me such a personalized hospitable stay at the Montclair AMC experience!!! Lastly I want to praise AMC for having such an insanely charming Claw Machine Plushie Royal Family!!! The Squishmellows are so much cuter than the Plushies I've seen at other Theatres and add so much adorably charming hosting Magic to the Cave. I appreciate the Montclair Crew for helping me remember what makes the AMC Experience feels so different and special and making the Movie watching experience feel as luxuriously healing and fabulously fun and heartwarming as possible!!! read more

Paid $22 for a seat that was dirty. Ewww. Had to wipe it down myself. Ordered a drink; they were out of three things in a row, but still charged $21. To boit, you have to pay a tip or the charge won't go through. I wanted to support a local theater, but this visit was disappointing. The front staff wasn't very helpful and the ticket area was understaffed. We had asked a female worker with bangs for help and she said that wasn't her job and she had to go back to the where they were handing out glasses. Seemed very rude it could have just taken a second to help us figure out our gift card situation. The only staff member that seemed to what to be there was the blonde bartender she was friendly! We saw the new Jurassic Park movie in 3D, but it barely felt like 3D at all. It honestly felt like we paid extra just for the glasses. Also the quality of the movie was horrible. The inside of the movie theater had a strong smell of popcorn mixed with feet. We ordered the loaded nachos they were soggy and the chicken didn't taste right. After the movie we had went to the bathrooms around 9 ish. They had toilet paper on the floor, no toilet seat liners in any stalls, and the napkin dispenser was broken. I really wanted to support a local theater (especially with how easy it is to just stream at home these days). Hard to justify spending over $80 for such a mediocre experience. read more

If it could be 0 it would be. We purchased tickets for Saturday night to see the new Elvis movie, Friday online. Purchase accepted, tickets sent. We planned our evening around the movie time, making a late dinner reservation since the only movie time available was 6:15 PM. Showed up about 10-15 minutes early to relax and enjoy a drink and order some food to enjoy with the movie. We were checked in at the door with our e tickets for the Elvis movie. We ordered some snacks to be delivered to our seats when ready, and a couple of drinks. We were directed to our theater. Got to our assigned seats and found someone sitting there. I showed her our tickets, and she showed me hers, same theater, same time, same seats, but different movie! Long story short,(as possible) the theater decided earlier in the day to cancel the Elvis movie and add Scream to the theater because of ticket demand. I can almost understand that, business wise. However, they took my money electronically, sent me tickets, confirmed, and sent me numerous reminders electronically, up to and including that afternoon. Why did they not contact me ( and a couple of other parties in the same bind) electronically and refund my money??? Why was it not flagged when we walked in the door and directed to the theater? It took us at least a 1/2 hour to get passes - not a refund- for the tickets, a refund for our drinks and food- 2 separate transactions. On top of all that we live 15 miles away. Of course we didn't get, nor ask for the $10 tip I gave the bartender. I can't imagine doing business this way! Well, AMC showed us loud and clear what our business is worth to them. A big fat ZERO. I'll be the first to say I was WRONG for breaking policy bringing in an alcoholic beverage but per the SAME policy-- a wrong was also inflicted upon me. Manager Logan Garcia escorted me out of the theater due to sneaking in alcoholic beverages-- fine. I didn't become rude but simply asked to see that policy so he showed me. Fine. It was displayed as soon as you get in so no arguing that. But per said policy I am allowed to enjoy my drinks that I snuck in at home. When I requested the return of my drinks I was told they were trashed. Interesting to uphold only one side of a policy and blatantly disregarding the entirety of it. When I mentioned this contradiction in policy and actions Logan became extremely sarcastic, condescending, and stereotypically mocking me (his rebuttal was in a tone of stereotypical black woman that non-blacks used to weaponize against us during an interaction) all because his frontal lobe hasn't developed accountability yet. I owned my wrong in the moment but Logan failed to do the same when I asked for a refund of the ticket or compensation for my trashed items. Then he says the policy doesn't "literally" mean I can enjoy them at home ok, so if we negate one faction of the policy then the entirety of it is null and void because why do I have to uphold leaving the theater if we can cherry pick which parts to follow? This simply could have been avoided with accountability saying "you're right ma'am it does say that, please reach out to upper management since I'm not able to refund you" but Logan doubled down on "not giving me shit" per his words and escalating it with his stubbornness to admit his part in not following a policy he showed me. read more

This is not my usual AMC location but I have been here several times and enjoy my experiences! The theatre is one of the new ones in the area. All the seating is reclining and they also have premium screening experiences such as IMAX and Dolby. My husband and I saw Alien: Romulus in IMAX during our last visit and it was awesome! The sound and picture was the best and we enjoyed being able to relax in recliners. I ordered an entree and popcorn ahead of time. It did arrive 10 minutes late but no biggie. It got to me in time just before the trailers started. I love AMC's southern style chicken tenders. The outside coating is so crispy and the tenders are tendering. It comes with pretzel bites and fries, but I prefer substituting the fries with tater tots. It also comes with a side of ranch and their ranch is the kind that we all hold dear to our hearts! Their popcorn is also very good here, no extra butter needed. Definitely skip out on the mac and cheese. I wasn't expecting restaurant worthy, but it does fall way below average being that it is flavorless and the noodles are on the mushy side. Parking is plentiful and the theatre is clean with great service. Will be back again! read more

Finally got to see Wicked and it was amazing! This theater is located in the Montclair Place mall. Fairly clean. Staff is friendly. They offer dine-in so you can order food and have it delivered to your seat. Food is pretty pricey though. Seats are recliner and also have heat settings which is nice. read more

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred on Thanksgiving involving an employee named Milita. Milita refused to serve me, stating that I was intoxicated. This accusation was incorrect and made without any proper assessment. I even stated that she could contact the police or request any verification necessary to confirm that I was not intoxicated. Additionally, she accused me of lying about taking an Lyft. For clarification, I did take a Lyft. specifically so I could enjoy drinks responsibly. Her comments were unprofessional, dismissive, and made without any basis. This was meant to be a relaxing holiday outing, and the interaction created an unnecessary and uncomfortable situation. Paid for a 3D movie experience and was not worth the price at all. First of all the seat did not have any of its features, it did not recline and was inoperable. The audio volume was low in that theater which did not have the movie theater effect. My popcorn tasted burnt, we threw away nearly a full bucket of popcorn. When I went to notify staff at guest services about the chair they seem uninterested in trying to rectify the matter with me (though they did not down the seat #) and eager to get back to their conversation. This is why people have to get Karen (which I didn't) because customer service these days is so subpar. read more

This theater uses intense surveillance and policing. DONT COME HERE! I think they watch audiences with camera which is so creepy and dystopian. I came here and I snuck in a tall can of beer which I know is not good (but I know people sneak in food and drinks all of the time) and mid-movie, a worker came in and checked my can, asked me to step outside, and told me I had to leave because I broke their policy (which is no outside food and drinks). I understand the policy but do why watch and patrol audiences like that? The way they asked me to leave made me feel like a criminal and I was with family. Why can't they just ask one to throw away the drink like normal people? Do they do the same w other food? They have a bar here btw. Why don't they check bags when initially arriving rather than resorting to a humiliating way of kicking someone out? I feel incredibly uncomfortable that I'm being watched by a corporation at all times in what is supposed to be a time of leisure. I'm going to boycott AMC. So gross and overpriced. First time here, came during the week during the day, 1:30 show, and tons of parking, not marked well outside, but was easy to find. Pricey, but paying for the extra experience. Highly recommend. Will definitely return and recommend. Friendly, helpful staff from the ticket counter to the snack bar. Very clean from the outside to our seats. Clean restrooms. AMC Dine-In Montclair Place is always a great spot for entertainment! The staff are consistently nice and courteous, making every visit pleasant from start to finish. The food is always delicious--definitely a step above typical movie snacks. The recliner seats are super comfy, especially if you bring your own blanket--perfect for settling in and enjoying the show. The surround sound truly enhances the experience, making you feel like you're part of the movie. Highly recommend for a relaxing and immersive movie night! I had missed placed my wallet and the staff and security did all that they could to help me look for it. Thank goodness I didn't lose it there! But they definitely would have found it!
