All three of the doctors (Dr. Mitchell , Dr. Johnston, and Dr. Hanson) have demonstrated the kind of professionalism, experience, courtesy/respect, compassion, and willingness to listen/answer any questions/concerns that I may have had. The staff at Eyecare Associates can be described as nothing less than exemplary as well. I only wish that I knew, or was able to remember all of their names. Special "Thank You" to : ~Tiffani in Optical for being so personable, helpful and patient with me while helping select glasses and frames. ~Teri (I hope that I got the spelling correct) for her persistence in returning my phone call regarding my insurance. ~ The ladies at the front desk and the other staff members for their help during my visit. MUST READ... A complete waste of time…read more We ordered NEW LENSES and frames. Somehow, one of their fine PROFESSIONALS forgot to order the NEW LENSES. So, we sat in their waiting area for one hour and thirty minutes anticipating getting the NEW LENSES and frames. To find out... OOOOPS, nobody ordered the NEW LENSES. Three to four weeks without glasses, and now we have to wait longer due to some idiot not doing their job right the first time. So I am sending Eyecare Associates of Southern Oregon TWO GIANT SIZED MIDDLE FINGERS. Here are the scratched lenses that were supposed to be replaced. This place is beyond pathetic

Ran back to check if they had the prescription, while she was gone I had a minute to think (she was pushy didn't give us a second to think) I told her we did not need want she suggested. She got up very rude, rolled her eyes and went to change HER options. Not ours, her commission options. No special prescription very basic. Never once was I told I was paying for a warranty which is $30 extra. I only noticed when I got home. I'm disgusted by the service. The employee was like a used car salesman. Rude, did not help us finding the frames just worried about HER commission. Disgusting. Will never return. I'm sure that won't matter but I hope this review deters others

Today I had the most extensive and thorough exam I've ever had! Dr. Brown takes his time during the exam to make sure you are comfortable, not rushed and that you understand exactly what is going on. I was shown the photographic images of my eyes as he explained what we were seeing. I have some issues with my retinas that he was able to show me where, and what was happening with them. He was reassuring to me as I had concerns from a prior diagnosis done at a large local eye center where I felt "herded" through and dismissed. This office is so kind, personal and caring. I wish I'd found them years ago! I highly recommend them!!!

I brought them in to see if they could straighten them for her so I could take them to her at the hospital. I was worried if I tried I might break the frame because they are so thin. Raylee was working and she explained that she would try but if they broke I would need to order a new frame. I was so worried because my Mom can only see out of one eye now and Visionworks had put a special lens in these glasses because she's color blind in the good eye. She needs them to see at all. Raylee took her time and was able to straighten them and she also put new nose pads on them. When she gave the repaired glasses back to me in a new case I started to cry. She stepped out from behind the counter and gave me a hug. Thank you for caring...you have no idea how much I needed something to go right and you made sure that happened!

The two front office women (dawn and the Jeanine) are so accommodating! I called looking to get in…read moresame day but not expecting them to be able to see me and to my surprise they worked me in!!!! I had surgery a couple weeks ago with a different surgeon and was having major pain everytime I blinked it felt like sand was in my eye. I had to bring my two little guys, 2yrs & 5yrs old so it was chaotic. The staff gave them both new toys to play with while I was being seen and were so kind. Then I was seen by Dr. Epstein and he was so thorough even tho he wasnt the one who had done my eyelid surgery originally. He did a quick painless procedure with post instruction on how to keep my eyelids healthy and stye free and instantly my eye felt better. I am so grateful for finding this gem! One of the staff members recommended a beautiful park in downtown Ashland and was so wonderful. Great experience. Hope I don't have to go back but recommend everyone using them. Reminds me of buying a new vehicle, where they go back and forth between the front desk and the…read morebilling department to attempt a "good faith estimate" or just to provide an answer to a question. The billing department was dishonest and misleading about billing during scheduling of my appointment, arriving for my appointment and leaving after my appointment--I asked numerous times and they were deceptive. Prior to the appointment, I told the billing department my insurance would not pay for an eye exam, as I know my insurance well, and they assured me the insurance would pay for the exam but not the refraction. Two weeks after the appointment, I received a bill for the entire service. The Siskiyou Eye Center is a perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare--you are a $$$ to them. Avoid this place, especially with so many other great choices in the Rogue Valley, like Artisan Eyeworks in Ashland or Medical Eye Center in Medford--they are professional and honest about services and billing. If you suspect misconduct in billing by your healthcare provider, you may contact the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation 888-877-4894.
