I own a business in Chico and I've been having problems with the commercial door in the front of the business. I had 3 other companies come out to give estimates, 2 of which said they don't know how to work on our kind of door and the other seemed very inexperienced and what he suggested doing wouldn't have fixed the problem, they also took 2 weeks to email an estimate. Lashes Glass did an amazing job on my sliding glass door and back to windows. Not only does it look phenomenal, but they even made sure that my leftover wood tiles on my beautiful hardwood floors were cut into strips and put perfectly in front of the sliding glass door so that there was zero gap after the installation.. I cannot say enough good things about Lashes Glass. It may take a while to get on the schedule in the rainy season, but I couldn't have wished for a better company to do this work for me. They were absolutely amazing and Victor is very good at what he does. He leaves no stone unturned and make sure that your job is done more than satisfactory. He had another guy with him and I wish I could remember his name because he hung my curtains back up, and my blinds back up and my curtains covering the sliding glass door were even better than they were done before.. I called in December for a quote on glass for a door. No one called back so i called them 2 weeks later. They tried to tell me someone called me. But i had no missed calls or voicemails. The female i talked to told me they needed to come back out to measure the door or something. I didn't really want to , but i agreed they came back out almost a month later in January. Then again no call back with a quote for the glass on my door. WTH really?? This is not the only glass place in town that has no called back. I'm thinking is this how people do business?? I do not ever recommend this place. When we first contacted them, they were so sweet and nice! But upon them finding out we didn't want to buy a part from them, that we could get for less than half the price, their attitude quickly changed. They left my car door torn apart because it was easier than putting it back together before my next appointment. So it was like that for two weeks. Then when I went back to have them put the part on, it didn't fit (which obviously isn't their fault) but they actually had the nerve to tell us not to bother coming back to them unless we were going to buy the part from them because we were wasting their time. How so, if you're being paid? And lastly, the screw cover behind my door handle was lost during the time they had my car and there was broken glass left all over the place. The owner himself zooms into action and we're in n out in about 30 minutes. Great guy, great work and saved from replacing a windshield for only $35. Poor quality work. The plexi glass was not cut to size, there was glass shavings on the interior left, the screws were drilled into the frame and sticking out of the back. It was not suppose to be a functional window but that doesn't mean it can look like crap for $224.67. Your business has wasted our money and left us with more trouble. You made the problem worse than how it started because we have to undo your mess and get it redone elsewhere. read more

First/last time going to this business! DO NOT go to this place! The "girls" up front were rude. All I needed was 2-12" x 12" pieces of mirror. When we walked in, a man left; no one else in the shop!! One guy sitting behind girls at a computer said he was going home; this is at 11:00 am! Apparently there was someone in the back, no idea what they were doing or working on, but, it does NOT take 20 minutes to cut 2 pieces of glass this size! I needed to have a large window replaced. I got three estimates and one from another glass contractor was ridiculous. Lash came out quickly, did professional assessment and made a recommendation for replacement that seemed very spot on. I had them do the work and the window was ordered and installed within a few days. I got the new EVA glass and the look is terrific. The installation was no hassle and clean up after was very good. After living with the new window for a couple of weeks I decided to replace the two side windows to complete the look and it is the best thing that I have done to my living room in a while. Got 2 estimates for 2 single hung windows and 1 slider. Lash's was a full $1000 LESS than the other estimate (Miller Glass). They arrived on-time, were clean-cut and polite, finished the job beautifully, and cleaned up after themselves all while working outside on a 99 degree day. What more can you ask for? I had a screen door and 9-window screens that need repair. Their serviceman arrived on time, reviewed my request, took the screens and screen door with him. I received a call from the office in a day with a bid to repair and within 4-days they were all returned and installed. I had another vendor look at the screen door and they said it would have to be replaced along with the slidening glass door. Lash's replaced the rollers, rescreened it and my wife could not believe how easly it opened and closed. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Have been to Lash's Glass twice now for replacement glass for picture frames. These are small transactions in the scheme of things but where handled with courtesy, speed and efficiency. Today I also brought in measurements for a replacement for a glass insert for a table. I obviously couldn't bring in the whole table for fitting like I do the picture frames, so I measured very carefully and came in with precise measurements. I have to admit I was very worried because even 1/16" off and the glass would be too tight a fit. They were able to cut the glass while we waited and it is perfect! Absolutely perfect and fits in the table like a glove. Thank you for being so professional and so exact. Maybe the worst experience I've had with a local business, I hired lash's for one job of an installation of two windows, these things happened: -our window was given away to another customer, pushing our construction timeline out. Total hassle. -when our window arrived, it was scratched, pushing our timeline back more. Ugh. -when the window finally was installed, it sat out from the frame by several inches, causing us to have to buy new molding so it looked halfway decent. While the second window must have been mismeasured as it has way more plastic area around the glass than it should. -the caulk on the inside immediately yellowed, and was not put on smoothly on top of that. Not very professional. -I set an appointment to have the caulk replaced and just waited around all day, when the time window I had been given passed, I called only to be told that they would not be coming out because the caulk was not faulty, even though they had come out and knew exact what the issue was. not ok. In short, do not hire lash's glass, it's not worth wasting your time over. The only solution I was given was to leave a complaint voicemail for the owner. It's too late for me, but best think I can do is urge you to never ever deal with this company. No stars. read more

I am a multi business owner here locally in Chico. One of my businesses is a yoga studio. As I called around and got some quotes to have new mirrors installed Lash's was the first to give me a quote. Shane Lash came to the site and during the conversation we discussed where the mirrors would be. He then asked me about baseboard. I instructed him that the mirrors need be off the deck at 6 inches given that I was having 5.25" baseboard installed. Then to make the transaction smoother I walked Shane into my other studio so he could then see what I exactly wanted done. My other studio room has polished edge mirrors butted up together with top and bottom J bar installed. Very clean and professional looking. After Shane saw all this he then gave me a nice quote, one that was good enough for me to say go for it and let's do it. I also spoke to him about timeline and how I would like this done sooner rather than later and to please keep me informed on ordering/receiving and install. Well things were going great and their install guys received the mirrors and were on top of the install pretty quick. During the first visit the installer showed me a wall that was bubbled out. I then learned that it was due to people driving into the building wall. I immediately had this corrected by my contractor the next morning. During the multiple visits by the installer my contractors and myself noticed that they seemed to having a pretty difficult time but no further communication was presented to me after the fixed wall so I assumed they were just maybe a little under experienced. I then made a call to Lash's about another job I was wanted done by them. During the phone call with one of the businesses family members Travis proceeded to tell me that the job price was going up. I was confused as to why since no communication had been presented to me. He began to tell me that I did not have baseboard down for his installers to install the mirrors on. I was very confused by this as I have never ever heard nor seen this done before therefore how would I even know that this was an option for install. I began to tell Travis this and he literally told me that Shane said this was how it was going to be done and I just did not install the baseboard. Then he told me and I quote "Well, it is your fault that you did not understand Shane because I know that when Shane goes out for these things he means that they are installed on the baseboard". I then said "Travis, did you just tell the customer it was his fault for your breakdown in communication with creating an understanding?" He proceeds to create more blame on me. I then ask him "So if your installers went out to the job site and realized that the baseboard was not installed then why did your guys proceed to do the install and not simple give me a phone call to discuss the issue because then we would not be having this conversation." He then tells me "well you were rushing us so much that we just wanted to do it." This is when Lash's starts to lose all credibility with me. Now it is also my fault that they could not just call me to discuss it. So I said to Travis "Travis here is another thing, how did your guy Shane even think that I wanted it installed on the baseboard if in fact I physically walked him into my other studio room and showed him exactly what needed to be done, those mirrors are not installed on any baseboard." He proceeds to make more excuses so I then asked him if the owner was available and he says yes Lori is and told me to hold on. He then has me on hold for at least 5 minutes while I am thinking he is obviously explaining the call to someone and sure enough he was, to Shane Lash because it wasn't Lori on the phone with me it was Shane. Long story short, Shane was only given what Travis wanted him to know from the conversation so when Shane got on the call he to started in on the blame game mean while my wife and other owner is listening and has requested to speak with Shane. At this point I am out of the conversation. From my understanding she began to educate Shane on how as a business owner you can not forward your wrong doing onto the customer rather it is the opposite of what a good business owner would do. Needless to say Lash's Glass finally received the last mirror (twice) and it took them 8 days to get the job done for just the one mirror that was left to install and then attach the top J bar. After all said and done the mirrors looked great thanks to Lash's installers. I was hoping that they would call me to clean up the mess created by them but instead I was called by Travis to tell me that they were charging me more than another $300 for the top J bar and another install fee. I didn't care to much because the price is still good for the job but for them to still attach another fee and raise the quote is just straight bad business especially since I walked Shane into my other studio giving him the exact way it was to be done and then he gave me a quote. read more
