Traveling cross country we took a stone that split the windshield nearly in half. I thought the next stone would shatter the thing. We called Glasstech at around 3:20 Friday afternoon. Kevin was closing up for the weekend for a fishing trip. Kevin took our call. He informed us over the phone that it would be Monday to get a replacement and he waited for us to arrive at his shop, 30-45 minutes later. He ordered the right windshield and we made a Monday morning appointment. When we arrived for the appointment Kevin got started straight away. An hour or so later we were back on the road. The price was a touch over $200 cheaper than I expected. Many times repair people take advantage of travelers. Not Kevin; Kevin is very fair, expeditious and knowledgeable. A true professional. I have a 1973 Dodge Charger. The rear window was leaking and the front windshield had a big crack and needed to be replaced. Kevin popped out the rear window and found that the seal had failed. He renewed the seal and put it back in place. Then he replaced the front windshield and now everything is good. He knows what he is doing and the price was very fair. Each of the "other guys" provided higher cost quotes AND would take longer to replace the windshield. Kevin was able to quickly get me a quote, which again was lower than the other guys. He was able to get me in the day I called. My drivers side window was unfortunately smashed in a break in and I am so happy for the quick and great service and experience. Except GLASS TECH, He got it when I called around 9am he said he could get it from SAC, HE DROVE TO MY HOUSE vacuumed the glass, then came back few hours later had the glass installed and it was done! Recommend that place anytime. The guy was nice and professional he gave me a FREE 19oz can of Glass Cleaner. $195.00 out the door! Like the other reviewer, I called several places and got a variety of quotes. I called Glass Tech because of the other review. He had the lowest quote ($195 for a 98 Civic windshield). He came to my home and arrived on time. He even let me watch some of the stuff he did! (I'm curious that way.) My old windshield had several cracks that spread out the length and width of the windshield, and so many pits in it that if the sun hit it just right, I couldn't see out of it. Now it is crystal clear and even has the green tint at the top! Kevin was really nice and I would recommend Glass Tech to anyone looking for glass. read more
