I wanted a natural look. She listened very closely to me, showed me exactly what she was doing every step of the way, and followed the bone structure of my face to give me full, natural-looking brows with the most gorgeous arch. I have oily skin, which makes the procedure tougher, but Mei knows how to deal with any skin type. It's hard to overstate how important brows are on the face, and Mei's are well worth the reasonable price. Mei is delightful, knowledgeable, kind, and extraordinarily TALENTED. I am already planning to come back to her for more services. Mei, you're a GEM.

Full disclosure, so you know I'm telling the truth, I was not five star 100% happy with my original eyebrow permanent makeup. Yet, as soon as May found out, she got me right back in to do another "touch-up," and to add more hair strokes, until it looked... PERFECT. THAT is how much she cares about her clients' getting the best permanent makeup in Boston. THE PRICE: the prices at Pretty Chic are pretty reasonable too... especially compared to high-end city salons that have to pay Newberry Street rent and fund an expensive advertising budget. THE DEAL: if you're looking for some of Boston's best micropigmentation, at an affordable price, look no further than Pretty Chic!

Once I realized my review was gone, I knew I had to come back and share my experience again. I have very uneven eyebrows due to a scar over one eye, making one brow sit slightly higher. After years of searching for someone I could truly trust, I found Mila, and I've never looked back. Her precision and expertise have consistently given me incredible results. Even when she moved from New York to Boston, I didn't hesitate to make the trip for my touch-ups--she's that good! I may not have my original before-and-after pictures anymore, but I have plenty of photos that showcase her amazing work. If you're looking for someone who truly understands brows, Mila is the one! Nobody even realizes my brows are microbladed and that's really always the goal! Natural work that makes you feel confident. She's exactly the style and shape that I have always liked and that's why I will recommend her over and over again. I've had many friends go to her that I referred and they all feel the same way!

Often times, microbladed or nano brows look quite "rectangular" to me - specific lines, boxed in, all looking the same. The first time I went to have my brows done, about 4 years ago, was when Mila first switched from microblading to nano brows. And I was absolutely floored by the amount of time she put into sketching the right brow shape for my face and explaining why the shape complimented my face. She is a perfectionist and it shows. Every appointment has me leaving with exactly how I want my brows - even a year when I asked if she could touch something up and I got right back on the table. She also always has the most up-to-date technology - I went in yesterday for my yearly and she already had newer technology since I was there a year ago when she had just upgraded tech then! She is also the most professional yet easy to talk with - appointments fly by with someone like this. If you are looking for someone to work with you on your brows for years, go see Mila. I don't even go for brow maintenance to a beauty bar every 3 months as I used to as I'm so confident!

I did a bit of research about microblading before I booked an appt with Shania at Boston…read moremicroblading. Although there was more reviews elsewhere, I felt like Boston microblading would be the best place for me to get my eyebrows done at. The reason being so is because other places had different types of services and not just specialized in one area. Their overall reviews were high, but partially due to other services that were rendered. I went through every store's Instagram photos, hoping to get a feel for what I want. It seems that Boston microblading was the best bet due to it's diversity of clients and it seems that the brows were drawn specifically to help bring out the features of the clients face. That's what I wanted. My first impression at Boston microblading was that this place was extremely grandiose, even though the place is small. The waiting area felt very relaxing and cute. The store is well designed, the place is very clean, and it felt very welcoming. I definitely did not feel out of place at all. Shania sat me down during my first visit and we talked about my brows. My eyebrows were done by an unprofessional a few years back, and it finally faded enough to do a new shape over it. She took pictures of my brows and showed me the leftover strokes from my previous work, pointing out that it wasn't done correctly and how it affected the way my face looked. Although it was a challenge for her, she explained to me what she could and couldn't do. She made me felt at ease and comfortable to go forward. She didn't treat it as if I was another customer and that she can do what ever she wants to get it over with. I definitely feel the professionalism, the passion to do this work, and how much she cares for her customers. She explained the process to me in a very pleasant manner, her sanitary process, etc. When it comes to shaping my brows, she drew my brows in with a pencil stroke by stroke, and asked if the shape was what I wanted before starting the whole process. As I laid down, she went over the steps and what I probably would feel during the process. She understands the discomfort of the process (could be some pain from blade/needle or from feeling a bit claustrophic) and told me in advance if I needed to take a break, just let her know. My experience with Shania was beyond amazing. I don't think I've ever had such great service in my life. Well it's definitely better than my previous experience. Once Shania was done, she had me sit up and double, triple, even quadruple check her work. Making sure there's no missing strokes, making sure the shape is even, and kept offering to have me look at the mirror to see if she's missing anything. She was such a perfectionist. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. My brows were my life! The same day after my brows were done, the color was so dark I was a bit worried. So throughout the healing process, I kept in touch with her here and there, and she was happy to assure me that the shape and the color will be better after a few weeks and to trust the process. If there was anything that wasn't perfect, the touch up will definitely cover it. I did, and no doubt it turned out so pretty!!!!! I had so many compliments. My friends loved it so much that they booked an appt with her within the few weeks of my healing process. My touch up with her, I pointed out that I actually want a higher arch, and she was able to achieve that for me even though my previous work had made it difficult for her. She spent a lot of time perfecting my eyebrows for me and I can't thank her enough. I'm so happy that I picked this place. And I would definitely recommend this place 100x over.

I've had lashes before and wasn't super thrilled with the application or how long they held up, so I did extensive research to find the best possible place this time around. Cherise and I discussed what length of lashes I'd like, and how dramatic I'd like them to be and we got down to business. As Yelp had been featuring a deal for $60 for $100 I decided to go for the second longest lash extension option, which I believe was marketed as $349 (for the synthetic Xtreme lashes). Maybe pricier than your $60 Ktown job, but definitely worth the value. She laid me down on her super comfy massage bed and set to work (after applying a cooling undereye strip to hold down my bottom lashes and removing my makeup). During the middle of the application I had to use the bathroom, and she told me to check out the lashes while I was there to see if I wanted them any longer or curlier. I did want a little more length and drama, so she added longer lashes for the last half. These lashes have lasted over 4 weeks and look INCREDIBLE. They are so natural looking and have held up through a week trip to Miami (during which I swam in the ocean, pool, went on a super windy airboat ride in the everglades, etc) and then back at home through excessive heat, more beach trips, and daily super sweaty work outs. I also haven't felt the need to use mascara or strip lashes since I've gotten these extensions applied. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for refills, great conversation, and laughter. Cherise is the best. Best value, best environment, best lashes.
