Their customer service is awful!!. I brought their package of 8 sessions of underarm laser for a little over $1000. The next day I changed my mind so I kept calling and calling and no one picked up . Eventually after several calls and Melissa finally texted me saying she was out that day and will process the refund. She said it will take 3-5 business days. I gave them the benefit of the doubt so I waited longer than that. It has been more than 1 wk and the refund still didn't show up in my bank account so I called up my bank and started a dispute. My bank will call them and collect the money instead. This is crazy how they do business. It's like they take your money and ran. I'm sooo glad I changed my mind because I will not trust them with my body. I'm highly disappointed after reading so many good reviews . I have also read similar reviews where they are very hard to schedule cuz they never pick up. AND THATS TRUE!!! They hardly pick up their phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR ESTABLISHMENT!!! I really wanted to love them and write the best review but as it turns out Laser Away was all bells and whistles but no actual result. I've had laser done in other places in NYC so I know what's out there too - the reason I switched is for something closer to my new apartment. My old place Satori lacked all the bells and whistles but the results were much better. The $$ while comparable went so much further. For ref - I'm the perfect candidate for laser. Thick, dark hair and brown skin - I did 12 sessions and around 6 I started bringing up the fact that I wasn't seeing the improvement they had indicated at the start - I brought it up every time and one of the girls working would look at my face act like they care and move on. At the end of it all, I said it again and the lady said "it's a 70% improvement" - and when I put her on the spot asking her if she was looking at a reference photo or SOMETHING to validate where this 70% improvement is coming from she had no idea. In essence, it's just something they say. To be clear - it was not a 70% improvement, it was a 30% improvement at MOST! And I know that laser doesn't eliminate all the hair too - I wasn't born yesterday but come on! Anyways - maybe if ya'll focus on your value prop and pay less attention to balloons and pens...and now botox, you can do what you advertise with greater quality! read more

Business charged the entire sum of a package to a loan provider but was unable to provide the full package services to my wife. She has not been able to get itemized billing for the partial services, and LaserAway has not adjusted the amount collected from the loan provider to reflect the actual services rendered, causing inappropriate credit issues. LaserAway should be able to provide itemized billing for visits clearly to their customers, but instead they provided a 'Square receipt' of a payment to a loan provider. Sketchy and fraudulent - stay away!! Edit: LaserAway responded to this and resolved the issue, so I'm updating to 3-stars from 1. It shouldn't have taken over 3 months of calling, rude and dismissive front-desk staff who refused to cost the services rendered or help out, and complaints to the BBB and this Yelp review from her husband to finally get action, so I hope the business adjusts practices going forward. read more

Really happy with the customer service at this location. Nicole is my go-to nurse but have seen others and they seem to be nice and informative. My one pain point with LaserAway as a company is the aggressive up selling and amount of times they may contact you. Also just found out that you can no longer stop treatment in a certain area and use the remaining funds towards another area, not a fan of that. You should be able to use your money how you see fit and for what best fits your needs, especially when they've sold you on a few thousand dollars worth of work. Overall this location ( 118 Court St, Brooklyn) is clean and the staff especially the front dust is always accommodating, helpful and pleasant. I have been going for laser hair removal of the neck and shoulders and I must say that my recent experience with Nurse Jen Morse was GREAT. She was informative of the process. She also marked the shoulder area and did it with accuracy, which some of the other nurses do not do with the same care. Or they draw the lines too close together narrowing and minimizing the area to be laser. I had also missed a spot when shaving prior to my treatment, but Jen noticed it and shaved it for me. If I were able to request the same nurse for each of my laser treatments I would request Jen and highly recommend her as a nurse/technician. read more

I went to get thermage yesterday for the first time and it was a great experience! The technician, Natalya, was kind and explained what to expect very thoroughly what to expect. She often checked in with me regarding pain levels and adjusted to my tolerance from time to time. Overall, the process of booking with LaserAway is very seamless. I've had a few last minute cancellations due to scheduling mishaps, however, the customer service has always been impeccable, and even got a free facial added to my account for my inconvenience! Be aware of purchasing (2) Groupons and speaking with Maria. Per Groupon fine print, one "may redeem 2 per person for medium and large area options". I spoke with Maria the day (7/26) I purchased the Groupons because you need a "consultation" first before scheduling an appointment - I was fine with that. She went through the Groupon prices and started selling me on packages - I was fine with that. I get that you need at least 8 sessions for results and Groupon only pays for 3, so, sure...sell me more. When I called again (8/8) to schedule an appointment, first she says she can't honor ANY of my Groupons because I already had a consultation. "Groupons are for new customers. Because you and I spoke, you're now a customer". Umm...I called for the consultation after I purchased the Groupon. I should have known that this person AND/or this business is shady the moment she said those words. I stopped her and reminded her I purchased the Groupons first and then spoke with her because Groupons are for new clients. She backtracked and said I was correct. When it was time to redeem BOTH Groupons (one medium, one large per fine print that it's OK and per per my initial conversation with her that it's OK), she then said that they DO NOT ALLOW redemption for two coupons, just one. She also said quote, "Groupon is a marketing ploy for us to get new customers, but you can't redeem both. You can gift it or get a refund from Groupon. Sorry for the confusion". No, it's not confusion - it's deception! At that point, I knew I was jipped and I knew this business is truly shady. We went back and forth because I'll be honest, I was hung up on not being able to redeem both because it was on the damn fine print and she said it was OK to begin with. At this point, getting a refund is no big deal but what a huge turn off. It's the principle of it that annoys me most. And my, the attitude. I don't know where to begin to describe this lady's attitude and I may have reacted negatively but it was a reaction to her condescending and unapproachable tone! I have no clue how this lady works in customer service. Again, if you're a new customer and planning to purchase multiple Groupons because the fine print allows it, don't do it. Also, avoid Brooklyn location at all costs - you're better off going to Tribeca or Flatiron location. You've been warned. read more

I bought the 8 session for underarm laser hair removal. My first session was on August 4. I am writing this review a month later on September 7 and I already see thinner and less hair! Fair to say their services are reputable and I can definitely see the potential of complete hair removal by the 8th session. I will update my review after the completion of all sessions. I would also like to mention the nurse who serviced me, Jane H., who is super sweet and nice, listened to my concerns, made sure I was not in any pain and was comfortable throughout the entire procedure of approximately 10 minutes. The pain level is minimal around 4/10 (I have very low pain tolerance). I definitely recommend you to see Jane!! Overall recommend this place to everyone!!
