I came to Laser Eye Center with low hopes because prior I was told (at a different place) that I wouldn't be able to have Lasik procedure due to a scratched cornea. My boyfriend insisted I should get a second opinion so I ended up trying out the free consultation at Laser Eye Center. I'm so glad I did. The building was very nice and clean. The waiting room had a full house of patients all patiently waiting to be seen. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After the consultation I was given an option that I was excited to have done. The Evo implantable contact lens. They offered financing options and I was approved and ready for fitting. The day of surgery I was a bit nervous but I came to my appointment early just in case of the LA traffic. Once my name was called I was led into another room full of awaiting patients all prepped and ready for surgery. The staff were very sanitary and proceeded accordingly. I was in and out within 15 minutes. My vision was a little bit foggy due to the transition from the light but with time my vision instantly improved. No more glasses it's simple things like looking up far away to see all the little details that consist on a mountain. Imagine, I wasn't able to see that before. I am very happy with what Laser Eye Center helped me with. I am no longer blind to the world and I appreciate everything I can actually see. I appreciate the wonderful staff and the magical experience they have given me. I am so thankful and grateful. It's been almost 2 weeks and so far not one problem with my eyes. I think I need to change my review of this place all in all they were good to go however, just for fun they took my $500 deductible to hold my spot as they said, but the only lens they would offer me was the trifocal and they said it was a heavy lens and I would need to have my RETINA checked out to make sure they were OK. I did this and then just for fun at the retina specialist. I asked where would you guys send me for cataract surgery And they said Eye Associates of Orange County, so I went there for a second inquiry and after they did all their measurements, they suggested I get a light adjustable lens which I was not offered at the Laser eye Center so I had this done at Eye Associates of Orange County I am done with my procedures and I have to say I am very excited about the results. Laser eye Center told me I would be seeing halos and a lot of light feedback. I'm getting none of that with these lenses I chose and I have to say after they took my $500 deductible I did not hear another call back from them asking me to schedule for my appointment so I went with the other company instead not saying Laser eye Center is bad or not, but they just don't put everything out on the table especially when you're paying out of pocket they clearly look like they need to get rid of lenses. read more

I would like to start off that I am terrified of anything that would have to do with my eyes. I had a prescription of 20/400, (I had a hard time with seeing the biggest letter on the eye chart) and much rather would've gone glasses for the rest of my life than do contacts or surgery. After being urged by 3 members of my family who've done LASIK in the past, I gave in and agreed to give it a try. Reading other place's reviews, I decided to go with Laser Eye Center. Upon my first visit, which was the consultation, I was greeted by incredibly friendly staff, both doctors and front office staff alike. They walked me through each machine and the process of LASIK. While I still had my reservations and anxiety about LASIK, their approach to making it as comfortable as possible worked its magic on me and I agreed to the surgery. The day of the surgery, while my fear was at an all time high, their welcoming attitude and walkthrough of the procedure assuaged what remaining hesitation I had. While the procedure had 1 or 2 minor uncomfortable parts, they weren't for long as the procedure itself was incredibly quick. As they entail, they make sure you are properly taken care of before they even send you home. My one day follow up was more of the same with friendly and professional staff guiding me along my recovery journey and answering any questions I had. I'm confident to say I would recommend Laser Eye Center if you're on the fence about getting LASIK. As someone who's put off getting LASIK for a while now, I'm glad I went with them. My recommendation for the rest of the day post surgery is to have ibuprofen on hand. Some eye pain is normal after the surgery so the ibuprofen greatly helps alleviate it read more

After initially agreeing to a 2 pm slot, the office's inability to maintain a consistent appointment time was starkly evident through two separate confirmation calls, each altering the time without clear explanation. This lack of clarity was unsettling, and by the time the appointment day arrived, my wife's apprehension about proceeding was entirely justified. Upon arriving a half hour early to the Cerritos office, the initial impression was one of emptiness, which prevented me from having long wait. After a preliminary eye exam, I was left in an exam room for a staggering 45 minutes, completely ignored. The revelation that the doctor had not only not seen me but that the staff seemed largely unaware of my presence was a critical failure. The excuse of being "slammed," despite the initial lack of a busy waiting room, felt like a flimsy justification for such a significant oversight. The offer of rescheduling at a different location or time was met with understandable skepticism; after such a flagrant display of disorganization, entrusting my vision to this practice was simply out of the question. Consequently, I departed, opting to rely on reading glasses rather than risk any procedure with an organization that demonstrated such a profound lack of attention to detail and patient care. I don't ever use yelp I just use this platform to look up places but I have a thing to say about a specific person at this Cerritos location , my dad had his cataract surgery here in both eyes he had a follow up appointment a few days ago and everything went well there were two young ladies in the front who spoke great Spanish and attended well the medical assistant who took in my dad I believe was Stephanie she was polite and well spoken she made me feel at ease and even made my dad laugh (he doesn't smile much these days ) she also answered questions about his medicine and said the doctor will verify the instructions the doctor was very gentle also as my father is an older folk . We had some finance questions at the end and they let us know a supervisor can help us once we finished we went to the front and the two younger ladies were no longer there we found our selves with a supervisor named Karina , I have been having issues with payments and just wanted a bit more explaining on the costs Karina seemed to be upset because I asked questions she called me "bro" and kept saying she "didn't know what to tell me " because everything was already explained she ignored me and kept directing to my dad who didn't really even understand her because she kept going from English to Spanish and was unprofessional she completely disregarded me I am my fathers guardian so finances and medical decisions are up to me he isn't aware of the payments I take care of everything and bring him to the doctors , my father tried asking the finance questions to the best of his knowledge and that we just needed clarification and Karina just rolled her eyes a few times she kept cutting me off and speaking over both of us constantly her customer service is HORRID I hope she doesn't take any patients into rooms and makes them feel as uncomfortable as we did in the LOBBY with other people there , while she was overwriting us the two younger ladies had came back and were in the background you can see how uncomfortable they were with the way she was speaking but didn't seem so surprised as if it's her way of managing on a daily , I told her I would call the office and see if we can speak with the other supervisor instead she said " ok do as you want bro " and rolled her eyes at me AGAIN , my dad didn't really understand her but in our way down he said that she didn't know how to speak to people her tone is very unprofessional and he didn't like it at all , I hope there's another supervisor who is in charge OR Sshe should get pointers from the medical assistants on how to speak nicely to people in a professional tone ,it's been about a week and it's STILL bothersome the way that lady spoke to my father and I. My name is Wylma Gibbs I am writing this review because this company charged me $2500 hundred dollars for a consultation which was suppose to be free. My story, first I was very excited about getting my eyes done due to me being 73. When I went in they told me that the consultation and exam would be free. The Doctor that examined me stated that the only surgery because of my eyes would be a lens that would be good for far and close vision. So I agreed and sign the paperwork with a 500 dollar that was not to be paid unless I past all of my pre test that weekend, which was never stated I would be charge if I could not have the surgery. When I got to the next exam the nurse stated that i would have to come back because I wore my lenes. But then she changed things and had me sigh a contract and a receipt for the full amount stating that it would not be deposited or in anyway charged if I could not get the surgery. The following week I was sent a bill for the 10,000 dollars. On the day of the testing They found a problem with my eyes and stated that I needed more test. At that point my family stated that I should see my own eye doctor. The next morning the office at laser call and stated the the lens I was paying for I could not get but they could give me lens that I could only use for far away. At that point I stated that I would go to my eye doctor and get back to them, but that lens would not help me because I needed it to Pass the drivers test. The next thing I know they stated that I canceled and I had a $10.000 bill a week later. it has been two mouths and no one is returning my call and still charging me when I never canceled they were trying to sell me a product that was not on the contract. Also the contract stated that there would be a cancelation fee. But I did not cancel number one, also they were trying to get me to agree to a lens that would not meet my needs. I currently have asked for my records which I have aright to but they refuse to send them to me. read more

This review is for the Cerritos location...I made a surgery date to remove a Pinguecula, paid for the service upfront, showed up for my surgery on Thursday, (with an office FULL of people waiting HOURS for their surgery.) This is a shit show, a cattle call. They schedule everyone at THE SAME TIME, only to have them WAIT HOURS for their surgery. Mine was at 10 am. they did not see me until 3 pm! AND when they finally called me, the doctor told me (after waiting 5 HOURS) that he did not feel comfortable performing my surgery, that he specializes in Lasik, and that a different doctor that was not working that day would be better if I still wanted to go through with the surgery, however he tried to sway me not to go through with it, telling me its not that bad and I should just deal with it. Then we have the issue of payment, they still have NOT GIVEN MY MONEY BACK and have not returned my calls or emails. I am filing a complaint with my bank, this has been the worst experience. My name is Martin Murray, and I wanted to share my experience with Laser Eye Center of Cerritos. I was tired of wearing glasses, and the pair I had was scratched beyond repair. After searching online, I found Laser Eye Center of Cerritos, which was close to me in Lakewood, so I called to scheduled an appointment on September 8TH for and was scheduled for a consultation on September 12 at 9 AM. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. The facility was spotless, and my wait time was only a minute or two. One of the technicians brought me to the exam room and began the initial questions and tests. Shortly after, Dr. Nguyen.came in and performed a complete and thorough eye exam. During the exam i had asked him about LASIK as an option.After completing a very thorough exam he thin took the time to explain the lasik procedure in detail both the positives and negative.He thin offered a second option RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange), going over that procedure just as thoroughly. After the exam, I met with CARINA HERRERA. who helped me understand the financial side of things and the pros and cons of each procedure. She was incredibly helpful, very noligable,and patient.She explained all my options clearly, including how the priceing worked between the two different procedures.also explaining my payment options in full.also explained different types of Credit which could help with financing. I left that day feeling extremely informed and confident in what I had learned. I just needed some time to decide which procedure was best for me. And do some other research as well. On Monday the 15th i made another consultation apointment and went on the 18th to a different company which I shouldn't name but i will (N VISION). And it was the complete opposite experience. The staff was rude, I waited far too long, the exam was rushed, and I was left sitting in the exam room for over 30 minutes (AND I WAS TOLD THEY FORGOT I WAS IN THERE )when they finally came back in the exam room they told me they where finished and why was i still in there and needed to go wait in the lobby. I asked what about a written estimate and the answer was were sort staffed and wait in the lobby and I'll see if I could get someone to get you one. 20 min later a guy came to the lobby and took me to an office and said what pricing were you looking for. my answer was lasik,&LENS REPLACEMENT ESTIMATE . I NEVER RECEIVED LASIK PRICE. . When I finally received pricing, the consultant asked if I wanted the "Ferrari price or the BMW price." I told him I wasn't there to buy a car. Their prices--$17,000 for RLE and over $20,000 for an adjustable lens--were given with zero professionalism. I walked out incredibly disappointed. On my way home, I realized Laser Eye Center of Cerritos was absolutely the right choice. I returned on September 19, 2025, met again with CARINA HERRERA, And she set up my CareCredit plan, and scheduled my surgery. Every staff member treated me with kindness and respect throughout the entire process. My surgeries were done at their Los Angeles surgery center, and the staff there was just as professional. DR.RANY WOO, MD, performed my procedures, and she was incredibly gentle, kind, and reassuring--especially since I was very nervous. My left eye surgery on October 21 was quick, easy, and completely painless. Within 3-4 days, my vision had already improved significantly. The next day at my check-up, in Cerritos the staff and Dr. Nguyen were once again thorough and pleasant. My right eye surgery on October 28th went just as smoothly, with the same great team supporting me. My entire experience with Laser Eye Center of Cerritos could not have been better. The staff, doctors, communication, pricing, and professionalism truly exceeded my expectations. My vision is now back to 20/20, and I am beyond grateful. I highly recommend Laser Eye Center of Cerritos to anyone considering vision correction. They gave me the best experience I could have hoped for. I have no idea why I waited so long to make my review! I received PRK surgery from Laser Eye Center in June of 2023. I started wearing glasses/contacts at age 17 and was told for years I was a candidate for LASIK. I put it off for a while, possibly out of fear, but the last time I purchased my contacts I said okay this is my last time, next I'll go get surgery. I was then told at Laser Eye Center that I was a better candidate for PRK because my cornea was too thin for LASIK. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I came to Laser Eye Center for my surgery! I will not lie, the recovery was painful but only for a few days. The office staff was absolutely nothing but kind to me every time I visited and the doctor did an amazing job on my surgery.
