I am very satisfied and happy with the result. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon and his staff. I was hit by a rock on my right eye when I was in first grade. That unfortunate incident caused very early development of cataract called Traumatic Cataract. I saw the first sign of blurriness about five years ago, and it progressively got worse as time went on to a point where my right eye became almost useless, and I was using primarily my left eye to function and live my life, which was very irritating. Although my health insurance referred me Dr. Marvin Gordon, I feel very fortunate and lucky to have such capable, meticulous, and skilled doctor. His exams on my eyes were pretty extensive, and some tests were done more than once, which made me feel little bit irritating at the time, but later I came to appreciate his meticulous and complete nature of his practice. After all, they are my eyes and vision that I will be living with for rest of my life, and I'm glad he took his time and care to thoroughly examine them. I also had this fear of not getting approval for the surgery from my insurance company, but after the diagnosis Dr. Gordon explained the condition of my eyes, what cataract surgery is, what options were available, and what I can expect from the surgery. He explained all these things to me confidently as if the surgery is going to happen, which made me at ease and believe that he would submit all necessary tests and supporting documents to my insurance for the surgery approval. I was elated when I got the call from his office that my surgery date has been set, and I needed to go see my primary physician for a physical, to make sure I was physically well enough to go through a surgery. His office also emailed me information on what I need to do before the surgery, on day of the surgery, and after the surgery. A few days before the surgery, my surgery hospital Lakewood Regional Medical Center called me to confirm my cataract surgery and my out-of-pocket cost. It was whopping $1,100. It was a lot to fork out, but I was really relieved that it was manageable sum, and it seemed reasonable to me. All staff and nurses at Lakewood Regional Medical Center were very professional and courteous, except for the intern or volunteer kid who wheel-chaired me to my waiting car after the surgery where he didn't fold up the foot stand on wheel chair that made it difficult for me to stand up, and he promptly banged the car door against the wheel chair as he opened it. It was my friend's car who was kind enough to come with me, and that made it 100 times worse than if it happened to my own. Dr. Gordon came to see me before the surgery to make sure I was feeling comfortable and to answer any concerns or questions. The surgery took about an hour, and I was asleep most of the time, but I did wake up during the last part of the operation. I was little shock to see the operation being performed on my eye, and I could feel the wetness and the instruments touching my eye as well, but it wasn't all that gross. What surprised me was that Dr. Gordon was explaining what he was doing as the procedure went on, and that helped me tremendously to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I was feeling very nauseous for a couple of days though from the effects of anesthesia, which I slept it off. Thankfully there was no other side effects or complications. The recovery time was surprisingly fast! Just after couple of days after the surgery I was able to see clearly without any corrective lens. Its been couple of months since the surgery, and I am very satisfied and happy with the result.

So please make sure you guys make right appointment since dr not available all time at certain locations. Dr latter was very kind and professional. He was telling my husband and I that one day if we have a kids, our kids will def wear glasses since both parent have it on lol. I wish the timing on time. I came right on time at 10am but called to go inside at 10.35 am. They said they were little behind with the schedule. Also I wish they have good selection of the eyeglasses. Their selection and variations very low and more like standard basic one. One of the worker told me they have little selection since elderly come more often. So if you want luxury trendy glasses I don't think you able to find it here. Just ask the prescription and take it somewhere else like LensCrafters or Warby Parker. I'm pretty sure they take most insurance but make sure first to ask. I'm pretty glad I don't need to pay any copay.

10/10 -- absolutely love this place…read more From the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate. The entire staff is genuinely kind, warm, and personable -- and yes, everyone is also gorgeous, which honestly didn't hurt They were originally booked out until January, but when a cancellation opened up, they went out of their way to get my son in --which meant so much to me. That alone says everything about how much they actually care about their patients. The doctor was fantastic: knowledgeable, approachable, great banter, and made the whole experience feel relaxed instead of clinical or rushed. You can tell this is a place where people enjoy working, and it shows in how they treat you. Overall: amazing energy, incredible staff, and a practice I'll happily recommend to everyone. So grateful we found this office -- truly one of those rare "good vibes only" medical experiences.

So my child has to miss school for an eye appointment. I will be sharing this with her insurance company so that they are aware and her pediatrician who referred me! Also a complete waste of time, you sign documents and provide copies of your personal information to be informed this!!! A complete waste of one's time, as I should have been informed this before you asked me to sign any forms as you were aware my child was a MINOR. I just received a call back from the office manager Sonia basically just confirming that they only see children in the morning as they can Omni provide the best level of care in the morning time! Adults are scheduled on the afternoons ONLY! I will be contacting her insurance company to share with them that yes, Dr. Clark is accepting new patients but if you're a minor, you can only be seen in the morning time! This is unacceptable and I will not allow my child to have to miss school always to see the ophthalmologist! What a JOKE!

With one…read moreblack patch over her left eye, she could have been an extra for the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Shiver me timbers... Yesterday, she had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Tae S. Kim at Cerritos Eye Medical Center. For an older woman, it has to be traumatic. But, it had to be done since she was losing vision and that alone could be very daunting. However, she confessed that the experience wasn't that bad, thanks to Dr. Kim. That's what I realized as well, having seen patients waiting for this professional, as their turn came about. I guess, eye surgery is somewhat common as a person gets older. The staff is very kind and patient, as I see one of the assistants provide detailed instructions to my mother on the medication that she has to endure for the next month or so. As I watch another receptionist answer the phone, I can tell that they're very calm and knowledgeable in the process. A couple years back, I had an eye infection and I remember Dr. Kim's kindness and thorough explanation of the eye drops and care that was needed for me to heal. I know many of us complain about the lack of thoroughness when it comes to professionals these days. A lot of them are about making that quick buck and to a certain extent, I can't blame them. It's still a business right? However, whenever I see a medical staff showing generosity in the time spent with you and the paperwork process, I get a good feeling knowing that they're probably doing the same with others. My lone issue has to be the form of payment needed for the services at Cerritos Eye Medical Center. Cash and check only? For those who don't have the money now, how does one get treatment? I know medical insurance and Medi-Cal are accepted here, but in this day and age - NO CREDIT CARDS? I'm kinda dumbfounded. Anyways, I would come back to see Dr. Kim again, since this place seems somewhat hidden to the general population. I see old people (aka seniors citizens only). Could be the hidden gem of eye care. Since, it's right next to my primary care physician - Dr. Pak @ First Medical Center, it's a no brainer for me.

I started going to Dr Mikhail about 6-7 years ago based on the positive reviews from here. She's…read morevery friendly and was fine when it came to simple physicals. Last year I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and she put me on an ACE inhibitor. It helped lower my blood pressure, but I developed a cough not long after. I looked up the side effects and noticed that cough could be one of them. I brought this up to Dr Mikhail and she said that since it lowered my blood pressure, I should stay on it and prescribed me allergy medicine. The cough continued for months. When I would bring it up again she prescribed me more allergy medicine and told me it couldn't have been the ACE inhibitor since I said that I coughed more at night. The cough got worse earlier this year and I repeatedly told her the allergy medicine wasn't helping but she kept prescribing more of it and dismissed me. After months of little sleep from coughing all night, getting the side-eye from people hearing me hacking in public, having my throat raw with pain and a general decrease in quality of life, I got fed up and made an appointment with a pulmonologist. He diagnosed me with bronchitis, switched me from the ACE inhibitor to Amlodipine, and gave me an inhaler and nose spray. Within a week the cough was gone. It's annoying that Dr Mikhail misdiagnosed me, but what infuriated me the most was her gaslighting me and ignoring my complaints for MONTHS. I really wanted to like her but I'm never going to her office again.

Dr. Mikhail and her staff are some of the least professional and unethical medical staff we've…read moreever come in contact with. They're poorly organized (we scheduled vaccinations for our 4 year old who is terrified of shots...when we arrived to our appointment, they informed is that they ""ran out" of one of the vaccines, so we'd have to come back to get the final one ""whenever we get them".) Her office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They've lost documents we needed filled out on several occasions, mixed up appointments, loudly gossip with patients in the waiting room, and today even refused to fill out our daughter's medical history so we can register her for school. They claim we were "terminated as patients" for complaining about the missing vaccine..but that was never expressed to us at any point. While it's true, we immediately changed our primary care physician following the vaccination debacle, the kids haven't even seen the new doctor yet..so how is she supposed to know our medical history, or even have access to our records since doctor Mikhail's offIce never got around to sending our records to the new doctor? There are plenty of other reasons I do not recommend Doctor Mikhail, but those are more due to her personality and style of practice, so I won't bother mentioning them here. There are plenty of other highly rated doctors in area, so I suggest doing a little research before making an appointment here.
