The place was packed as it always is, not a problem we only waited 10 minutes for a table. The food was very good and the menu is quite varied from apps, pizzas, sushi, pasta. We sampled them all. Drinks were good and well prepared. For being so large the sound level was high but not too bad. The only negative was that several of our dinners came out 10-15 minutes late. Our waitress was superb even though she was very busy she made a point to check on us. Not a bad experience if you know what to expect

What a delightful, comfortable, breezy place by the beach. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Eating outdoors we had our drinks in plastic glasses. It that's alright. Definitely would eat here again and again

Wow! Absolutely loved everything about this place. Our server was amazing (Sophia) and was so attentive and funny! Our food was so good, drinks came quickly and were good. Coming back all summer, what, a, vibe.

Alicia Poke was absolutely delicious, but I would ask for no roasted red peppers next time.

The portions were huge, the staff and service were fantastic and the value was there. I loved the ambiance too.

Looked for a nice place for a quick dinner in Brigantine, NJ. Found LaScalas which had some good reviews so we tried there. The restaurant looked recently remodeled with white granite countertops and tables, nice looking. Our waitress was very friendly. She took our drink order and brought them back quickly. I ordered a double gin and tonic, which is my summer drink of choice. Then ordered an app of Calamari and a Margarita pizza. The calamari was excellently prepared and delicious. The pizza was over cooked and served cold. I had one slice and that was it. Then the bill came, I was charged $21 for the drink. Wow, very disappointed. Not recommending this place or coming back.

This places is Da bomb! The atmosphere is beautiful! The service was friendly and helpful. I had the meatball Trio appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! I also had the French fry appetizer with crab and other stuff on it an it was also delicious! I love this place!!

Only went for drinks while taking a break from the beach. I will definitely ho back to check out the food. Service was slow, it was crowded. They had a nice band playing. I ordered the loretta lemonade which is like a limoncello spritz. I ordered a club soda, it never came and I was charged for it ‍‍‍

Beach. Food. Bar. Music. Service and relaxing. If you are in to those four things, this is it.

Just off the afternoon vibe is so cool. Amazing views or the beach and ocean. Waitress was Adriana and she was great!! Always checking and making sure our waters were full on a hot summer afternoon. Wife started with frozen espresso martini and she loved it. Apps meatballs which were excellent! LaSclala Fries with bacon, crabmeat. Also very good. SPICY TUNA TARTARE was fresh and spicy. We really enjoyed this!! Alicia Poke bowl was the best thing we had. All fresh Tuna; Salmon and more spicy tuna. Have to say this place is definitely a 10!!

Stopped by here on a Saturday around 6 pm to eat and enjoy the live music. Had no idea what to expect - the place was a zoo when we arrived. Valet parking was nuts, the line to put our names in for a table with an outdoor hostess was long and slow. This place reminds me of Bar A but on steroids and fancier. We got a drink at the inside bar since the outdoor bar was too crowded & rowdy. Service was slow and inattentive at the inside bar. The pineapple crush was so sweet. We moved outside when the band started and eventually got seated at our table. Tried the tuscan wings, the pickle spears and a pizza. The pickle spears were really good. The tuscan wings sucked - dry / overcooked. The vodka meat lovers pizza was average - about what you'd expect from a joint like this. Our server was really good though - one major plus from the evening. The band was pretty terrible. Each set got gradually worse and shorter. I think they were on break more than they played. All in all, this is a great spot for people watching and overpriced food and sugary drinks. I feel bad for the residents who own beach houses in this neighborhood - its way too crowded of a place and loud. I would hate to have this place near my beach home.

Fun place for drinks and dancing, but the food is mediocre at best! Ambiance & Service: The outdoor seating area is spacious and right on the beach! We waited over an hour for a table for two, but the bar and lounge area kept us occupied. Our server was friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Food & Drink: - Spicy Margarita: A typical spicy marg--would order again! - Rigatoni Vodka: Just okay. The sauce was bland, though the pasta was cooked well. - Truffle Fries: Fries were a good size, but lacked any truffle flavor. TL;DR: Great for drinks and dancing, but don't expect much from the food.

Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

Review: I was down in Ac for the St. Patricks day parade and afterwards went into Resorts to get some drinks with friends stopping at Bar One. The bar is packed, understandable, and i am waiting my turn for the bartender (Yusef or Yersuf name tag). I don't mind waiting, I am in the middle of the bar with my money and there are 6 people to the right of me also waiting. Yusef making his way down but as people are served, new ones replace them. I'm a guy, I don't have breasts, but this guy never made it to me as he would go to the newest ladies to get them drinks. If position #1 was farthest from m, he would come down the line, say to #4, see ladies come to that #1 position and go to them to serve them. This happened for every spot, 1-5, while I was #6. I counted 16 women getting drinks in those positions, waiting maybe 5 minutes while I was there for 45. Needless to say, I didn't buy a single thing in that crappy bar or casino nor will I. I'm also telling people who want to go to AC for anything to avoid Resorts Casino and this bar...period!

PRIDE, PORK CHOPS & PURE JOY AT BYRDCAGE ATLANTIC CITY…read more Atlantic City was absolutely glowing this weekend during the Atlantic City Great Pride Festival at O'Donnell Park near Stockton University. More than 1,000 people were expected to attend, and the energy was incredible--music, dancing, laughter, and love everywhere you looked. Just two short blocks from the festival at 3426 Atlantic Avenue sits one of Atlantic City's true gems: Byrdcage Atlantic City. I stopped in throughout the day to cool off, enjoy some mimosas and other refreshing low-alcohol beverages, hydrate, and eventually have dinner. From the moment I walked in, I immediately got why this place has such a loyal following. First, the cleanliness deserves its own paragraph. I have visited restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't remember seeing an establishment this spotless. The interior and exterior were immaculate. Not a spot of dust. Even during one of the busiest days of the year, the restrooms remained roomy, pristine, and exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is equally impressive. The décor is whimsical, fun, and carefully curated with fascinating photos and memorabilia everywhere you look. Outside, colorful murals create the perfect backdrop for photos and add even more personality to an already vibrant space. And then there was dinner. My server, Isabella, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. She even arranged for a dinner entrée to be served before dinner service had officially begun, and I was so grateful she did. I ordered the Seoul Mate Sizzle Pork Chop Platter, and wow. A beautifully grilled bone-in pork chop glazed in a sweet and savory sauce and served over fresh pineapple salsa, alongside creamy herb rice and perfectly cooked vegetables including broccoli, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and carrots. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the pineapple salsa took it to another level. It was one of those meals where you intentionally slow down because you don't want it to end. And the music? The music made me dance almost all day and well into the night. There was something happening everywhere--at the Pride Festival, downstairs, and upstairs on the dance floor. The DJs absolutely nailed it. Great music, great energy, and great people. I honestly lost track of time because I was having so much fun. Management was everywhere--engaged, attentive, and laser-focused on every detail of the operation. The entire team worked together seamlessly to create something special. More than anything, Byrdcage felt like what every establishment should aspire to be: a safe space filled with kindness, inclusion, acceptance, and pure joy. It was family-friendly, welcoming to everyone, and simply fun. I even bought a Byrdcage shirt at the festival because this is exactly the kind of local business I enjoy supporting. If you're visiting Atlantic City, don't just come for the casinos. Come for experiences like this. Come for the people. Come for the music. Come hungry. Come ready to dance. And absolutely make time for Byrdcage Atlantic City. I'll be back. #ByrdcageAtlanticCity #AtlanticCity #AtlanticCityNJ #AtlanticCityPride #GreatPrideFestival #Pride #LGBTQIA #LoveIsLove #InclusiveSpaces #SafeSpace #YelpElite #Foodie #PorkChopPerfection #Mimosas #DanceAllDay #DanceAllNight #SupportLocal #FamilyFriendly #RestaurantReview #AtlanticCityEats #VisitAtlanticCity #JerseyShore #StocktonUniversity #ODonnellPark #OrangeLoop #EatLocal #ACNJ #PrideCelebration #GoodVibesOnly #PureJoy #AtlanticCityBoardwalk #BeachVibes

The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. Although the menu said the peaches would be grilled, they were cold. Perfectly ripe and firm, a great sweet contrast to the balsamic vinegar drizzle. Creamy burrata, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes rounded out the plate. This was a superb salad. The grilled chicken was a $6 add and came on a separate plate. Generous sized, the breast was well seasoned and tender. We took some home with spouse's plentiful potatoes from the skillet. Spouse went with the meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The skillet had ham bacon sausage and cheddar cheese with a huge pile of potatoes and two scrambled eggs. It also included wheat toast. This was a lot of food! This is a bright, well lit, smartly decorated restaurant, where I would love to have spent time at happy hour. Good service, good food, not overpriced at all. Maybe another visit next time we're in New Jersey!
