I found Kings Pub on Yelp while in Atlantic City. The establishment was easy to find and had a decent amount of parking. I entered and made a beeline straight for the restroom because I had to gooo . I quickly discovered the bathroom doors were locked and required a key code. Next thing I know, the bartender, Domingo, starts yelling from behind the bar and then comes around questioning why I was in the establishment. He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience. read more

Met a local at another bar and asked where to find the best wings in AC. Without hesitation, he said King's Pub and he was spot on. Wings were exactly what you want: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. The bartender (a younger guy) handled our big group like a pro, keeping the drinks flowing and rolling with all our random requests. Bonus points for recommending some great spots for the party crowd afterward. Laid-back vibe, great wings, and solid service, can't ask for much more. Holy heck is this place amazing. Perfect dive-bar feel with actually good food! Unassuming from the outside but once you walk in, you're welcome. It feels like just a bunch of friends hanging out, eating, drinking, watching sports, laughing at nonsense and just having a good time. In a city full of nightlife and nonsense, Kings's is a place to be yourself. The food is amazing, fresh, delicious. The staff are all colorful in the best way and the atmosphere is just as one would expect. A home away from home. However, I would rate the service with three stars because the bartender was constantly using his hands behind the bar (handling trash and other cross contamination issues) without washing them. I was at King's pub last night, it's a very short walk just steps off the Atlantic City boardwalk. Having seen that their wings were the #1 winner of the Atlantic City Wing Fest this year, I decided to order my favorite wings that I get every week, the mango habanero tenders. The portion is huge, as shown in the photos; it's enough for two meals and they were excellent as always. That was my starter; I then ordered the award-winning new item, the traditional bone-in wing, the Fire Glaze Wings, featuring a honey spice glaze with Cooper cheese drizzle and crispy sweet potato crumble. The wings were seasoned with paprika, scallions, cumin, garlic, onions, chilis, honey, and a specialty flour, then topped with a Cooper cheese sauce and sweet potato crumbles. They were incredible. This is a place you need to visit when in Atlantic City. They are open late, including the kitchen, so you can eat and drink after your casino or beach adventure. Phil served me; he's not only a great bartender and server, but also a gentleman, attentive, and professional. He adds fun to your visit and is a loyal Philadelphia E-A-G-L-E-S fan. Came in for late night wings after seeing reviews and was so glad I did! What a great spot. They are serious about their wings, marinated and seasoned overnight and then half-baked. Then they are flash fried to order and they are incredibly juicy. Many sauces to choose from but I'm partial to the mango-habanero. The teriyaki is also excellent. Bartender Phil was engaging and top notch. Don't think I will ever visit AC again without coming here. Loved it! read more

This place is great. I love the steakhouse wedge salad, I love the wings, I love the fried chicken sandwich. (I skipped that tonight just because it's a lot and it was late but it's very very good.) Seriously so good! For the wings I get the Apple Bourbon sauce and the Lily Sauce. The buttermilk blue cheese is also great (I use all 3 sauces but if I had to pick only one I'd go apple bourbon.) The fried chicken sandwich is probably the best I've ever had. The salad is delicious and also features their wonderful blue cheese dressing. Oh - and the bacon on the salad is not bacon bits. It is real strips of bacon they have fried. I've only been here a few times but the bartenders have been great and friendly. I totally recommend this little place. read more

So, this was a popular local "dive bar" called Pic-A-Lilli - a nice complement to the famous Irish Pub across the lot on St James. And while the newly enhanced Orange Loop has a lot going for it, this is a hidden easy and softspoken gem. Been there twice late night with a small crowd gathered but service from one bartender was prompt and professional. You will notice people coming in for takeout at this place and there's a good reason for it. They have the absolute best crispy chicken sandwich in Atlantic City, which is kind of funny since Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy just opened their second AC branch a block away. This is better with cheese bacon and a buffalo ranch sauce, paired with salt & pepper fries. They hand dip each chicken breast just before frying and you can tell immediately what you're in for with that first bite. I asked for an extra sauce for dipping. The decor is enhanced with good sets of TVs and it's just an easy bar for the casual hang or unwind after work. Recommended but the Guinness cost me $8. *Shrug* not quite a dive bar anymore but it's the closest to the Boardwalk without being on the sand. read more

Came in. First time in Atlantic City/east coast. Found this treasure chest. The smells of something tasty coming from the kitchen caught my attention a block away. The interior is simple and reminds me of my bars of choice back home. A Simple bar with local and out of Townes mingling. The staff is knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly. The food is impeccable. Overview 1) the portions: huge! Perfectly cooked. For the price you couldn't get anywhere near this quality or quantity in California. 2) the prices: it's worth the price. Infact if you're going to spend your money anyways this place will be a wise investment 3) the vibe: your local neighborhood drinking hole. Make you feel at home. When I walked into this bar, I quickly asked the bartender if my 17 year old son could stay. I was assured he could and we sat at one of the high tops that lined the wall to the side of the bar. I looked at the menu and saw a lot of bar food staples. My son ordered the boneless chicken tenders and I ordered some wings and a salad. I decided to get a draft beer and water. My son got a soft drink. While we waited for our food, the bartender came out from behind the bar to refill our drinks and check on us. Considering he had about 10 regulars around the bar, I was impressed by his attention. The bar itself was dark and had several televisions tuned to Banana Baseball. It was obviously a slow sports day. My salad arrived first and I was pleasantly surprised by the size and freshness. When the chicken came, the bartender immediately noticed that the Kitchen had the sauces wrong and brought it back. When the correct order arrived both my son and I were delighted with the quality and flavor of our dinner. So after a horrible experience at the Irish pub Friday night we walked out and headed over to Kings Pub for our first time and it didn't disappoint. We started with the wings that were fall off the bone delicious (sweet chili). Then we had the rib eye and short rib sandwiches which were phantastic. Only wish the ribeye was a little thicker but still very good. Bartender was completely attentive and kept a well clean bar for how busy he was.
