It was the middle of the day so the place was pretty empty. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very cool. She had some good shows on TV and she poured heavy. The bar had a bunch of funny signs all over the place. It's a chill dive bar and I'm sure on a busy night it's probably a great place to grab an unpretentious drink. We found out we could buy drinks from BS and bring them next door which get you around the whole no alcohol situation. I mean, if you're going to Bare Exposure in the daytime, you might want to grab a stiff drink beforehand.

When we asked for our second drink the bartender was about to make them and got stopped by another customer who she talked to for a while. We thought then she would make them and as other people entered, she was serving them first. We were 2 of the only people sitting at the bar with our empty glasses right in front of us waiting (we waited for about 20 minutes). We couldn't believe it! We were given the wrong change and it was just a mess! Hopefully it was just an off night but we unfortunately will not be back.

BAD BUNNY FOREVER!! HUELEBICHOS…read more My experience at Ducktown Tavern was beyond unacceptable. From the second we walked in, the hostility was obvious. The staff was cold, dismissive, and openly rude -- not just inattentive, but deliberately disrespectful. The looks, the tone, the body language -- everything about the interaction felt degrading. As Latinos, we were made to feel unwelcome and unwanted. It was painfully clear that we were not being treated with the same basic courtesy given to others. No one should ever walk into a restaurant and feel judged or looked down on simply for who they are. To make matters worse, the place was dirty and poorly maintained, and the food was mediocre at best. For the way we were treated, the quality of the meal didn't even matter -- the experience was already ruined. There is absolutely no excuse for making customers feel uncomfortable or disrespected. I would strongly caution anyone who values dignity and professionalism to think twice before spending their money here.

OK (emphasis on just OK) locals spot that's about a 5-6 minute walk from Caesars and 10 minute walk…read morefrom Tropicana on Atlantic Avenue, a couple blocks inland from Boardwalk Hall. Been coming to Atlantic City for many (15+) years but checked this spot out for the first time a couple Sundays ago to watch the Eagles game and because I'd heard the wings were good here. Although small, Ducktown is a nicely set up spot centered around a single long bar. Got their an hour or so before the Eagles game and there were a few seats left at the bar so I grabbed one. One thing that mildly irked me was the game of musical chairs played at the bar. Maybe 5 minutes after I sat down, an older lady asked me if I wouldn't mind switching seats with her to make room for some friends she had coming in later for the game (which I did). Minutes after that a handful of other customers were asked to shift down one seat so another customer could sit next to his buddies. So musical chairs seems to be a thing at this bar. For a small bar the menu is fairly extensive. Ordered a couple of IPAs at the bar. What's semi-ridiculous though is you can't order food directly from the bar; you have to order it from another server who will place the order at the adjacent tavern and bring the food back to you. Also the food and drink had to be processed as separate checks (as opposed to under just one check). I ordered the 10 pc. hot wings ($14.50) and the mozzarella sticks appetizer ($6.50 with appetizers being half off during Eagles games). The mozzarella sticks were OK but I didn't like the wings - they weren't "hot" at all and were drier than I expected... not sauced to the level I expected. Watched most of the game and headed out a couple hours later. One thing to note is this spot does charge a 2.89% "administrative" fee for all credit card purchases. Another thing to note is that the restaurant's credit card processing system is powered by Toast where the restaurant has the default "suggested tips" amounts set up as 20%, 40%, and 60% LOL. I've never in my life seen 40% and 60% as suggested tip amounts on the receipt/e-processing system, so be very careful what buttons you press to leave a tip here. I'd personally rate this place 2.5* due to what I thought were subpar wings and shady credit card processing but I decided to round up to 3 due to the server and waiter being nice enough people who provided pretty good service. May or may not return, there are definitely better pubs out there in AC. Decent spot to watch games if you're an Eagles fan though.

Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

I was worried about it being so inexpensive but the staff was very friendly, room stayed cool and surprisingly quiet with the window open and fan on, single shower and bathroom that we never had to wait for, and it is basically on the boardwalk. Only downside is no parking for hotel guests. The $7 charge at the garage wasn't a big deal but it was a pain when it came time to check out. You either have to go get the car or walk with all your stuff. We initially planned on hanging on the boardwalk a bit so we didn't want to get the car yet so we had to walk with all our stuff, not ideal. But it is a minor complaint. Yes the place is old so expect it to be basic but completely worth not paying a fortune to stay in the city.

There are VIP areas throughout and one even has its own bathroom. Your party must buy several bottles to get that one. However, while there is consistency between parties, remember, this is a club and the party and crowd will vary dramatically based on who is throwing the party. Such being the case, its hard to expect repeated results. The day I went, the crowd was concentrated on the top floor and was a mixture between urban and sexy. One woman partygoer even gave me a card for a vagina eating contest. I still have the card. I was going to scan it but decided it was in bad taste. I didnt toss it on the floor because, well, there was a thousand dollar prize. While I was not interested, i figured, maybe i know someone who may be.
