    Large margarita

This place located in the prime location of medical center. The fancy horse ambience what drew us in to try. Drink menu was extensive and the fancy lights here so pretty. A great place to visit for large party group and family oriented. The booth we sat at felt pretty large for 3 people. The con is the food I tried chicken fajitas were basic. Lacking a bit of seasoning. It was bland. Had no flavor. Salsa was ok. The chips were fresh and crunchy. Nothing else stood out to hurry back in for more.

This is the new Mexican spot in the area--and it definitely makes an impression. The space is huge, with plenty of parking all around the building, which makes arriving stress-free. It's an ideal place for large groups, but it's just as comfortable for an intimate dinner for two. The restaurant features a spacious bar serving cocktails and beer on tap, adding to the lively atmosphere. The food is authentically Mexican, with very generous portions--so while the prices reflect that, you're absolutely getting your money's worth. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and I especially loved the agua de jamaica. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and spot-on with every order, even with our party of nine. I'm already planning a return visit to explore their drink menu.

Decided to try this on a Friday evening, and it was packed! The wait wasn't too bad to get seated, though! The decor was really cool. I thought it looked pretty nice. They had so much on their menu. I was honestly impressed at how much they had. I really liked their French fries here. One of the best fries I've had around town. The Angel's plate was really good. It had a nice cheese sauce and was pretty much stuffed with everything inside (chicken, steak, shrimp). For as packed as they were, the tech time was really good. We didn't have to wait long to get seated, and didn't have to wait long for our drinks, or food. I thought everyone did a great job here.

This place is huge and the decor is very nice. I don't like the daylight bulbs everywhere but fortunately the sun was out to counter their cold glow. So much seating, my wife and I waited in line for a couple minutes and they took us right to a table. They were quick to bring chips and salsa, which the salsa was amazing. When the food arrived, it looked way better than any Mexican restaurant we've made around here personally this place really makes a difference on the care that they put into the plates. We ordered nachos and a taco salad and were very surprised at the quality that we received. The food tasted so good! We will be back.

Margarita flight - mango, peach, passion fruit and pineapple

Finally came here because we saw a FB post about their margarita flights. We got there around 12:30 and they were able to seat us right away even though we had a large party. It seemed a bit empty, which kinda surprised me as it's a Saturday. The place seemed well decorated. I'm no expert in Mexican food but the I thought the food was pretty good. I was shocked that they served ramen at a Mexican restaurant but it was honestly quite good. The ramen was cooked al dente and the flavor was good. The pollo and steak feliz were great. Absolutely loved my margarita flight - mango, pineapple, passion fruit and peach. The servers there checked up on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. I'm kinda surprised by some of the low ratings. The prices are more expensive than average Mexican restaurants but I think it was good for the experience. I would love to come back again for another margarita flight!

    Rico Tacos

We stopped in for lunch and was in a hurry and they got us seated quickly and got our orders in. Well the food was great and so was the service. The place was very clean as were their bathrooms. I had the Rico Tacos and they were so good, the chips and dip was also very good. We will definitely come back so we can enjoy more. By far the best mexican food in the Borough.

We decided to try this place on a night after they had been open for a while. It's been a about of a month so we decided to give it a shot. We first walked in and it was pretty busy, but there were two seats open at the bar. There were dirty bar glasses, plates and the countertop was dirty and it took about five minutes for them to get that cleaned off and ask us if we wanted a drink. We ordered two margaritas asking if they're buy one get one since a lot of places in town usually do buy one get one on the weekends (Carmen's and Mi Patria) and they are actually $14 each here. It's very bright inside the restaurant and the bar is very comfy. Not sure who the designer was but I feel bad for the bartenders because the tallest one was 6' and he was the only one to reach the beer tappers. They clearly need to get more organized. There should be one or two bartenders working on servers orders and there should be at least one or two focusing on the bar and getting meals in. Instead, they were playing rock paper scissors to decide who had to make the next drink for customers outside of the bar. The attention was NOT great. It took us a while to get chips and salsa, which were actually really good! We ordered the chorizo queso which was delightful, but the manager stopped and told us the next time we needed to get the Los trojas dip because it's outstanding. My husband ordered the los trojas special and everything was lacking flavor. It clearly is customized for the American pallet. I had the Mexican street tacos and I had lengua, steak and shredded chicken. There was absolutely no taste to anything besides the red salsa which is hot as fire. The tortillas were so chewy. I had to put them on the side and just eat the meat. Overall they need to work out food, service and balancing bar and tables but the ambiance is nice and the location is impeccable as they'll get a lot of customers coming over from the hotels nearby. Price of dinner for two: $130 after tip

The entire vibe of the place is amazing and the food is even more delicious. I ordered the Angel's burrito and GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY it was one of the best burritos I've ever had. The menu is extremely diverse and so many great choices.

    House Marg with Tajin rim.

The margarita flights was the best part of my experience. The atmosphere was nice and clean. However the food was subpar. The food came out quicker than most drinks.

They had me change my windbreaker jacket into a more casual dress jacket and i gotta say i felt like a completely new man with it on . I would definitely highly recommend and come back again . For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.

The "bird" wasn't just over‑grilled -- it looked like two chicken tenders pressed together to resemble a chicken breast, burnt, dried out, and topped with salsa. The grilled asparagus was also charred on one side. Honestly, the side salad was the best thing on my plate. My husband's shrimp were a mix of sizes and even a mix of cooking styles -- some grilled, some fried -- which made it look like they were gathered from multiple plates. And to be real, we were already getting those "don't blink" stares, so sending the food back wasn't happening. The cook clearly knew what was being served. We came to watch the Vols play Vandy on a Friday night. It was almost full inside, but the vibe was surprisingly flat. A few claps here and there, but not the lively, fun atmosphere we expected. Overall, not like expected.
