Guiso Mexicano: Fresh, hot, and well made! Parents loved it too!! Def recommend

Food came out in no time, service was great, and ambiance is pretty chill. Parents liked it too!! Def would recommend

WTF? You can't pass this off for anything but cut steak with salsa. Don't attempt to call it chili Colorado.

Plain bean and cheese burrito with no sauce requested. Covered in it

We ordered to go and the taco salad was nothing but a giant tomato, lettuce and cheese. I said plain bean and cheese burrito with no sauce on top and it's covered with sauce

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Murfreesboro! You have to try a raspberry margarita next time you're there!

The menu is huge, with tons of options, many not available at other places in the city's large, vibrant Mexican food scene. (Try its take on pizza, for instance.) I was impressed with the preparation, freshness, and quality of the Alambres. Equally good was the choriqueso--and the chips were crunchy and warm. Servings are generous too. Yes prices are probably a bit high--maybe $3 bucks more on major entries and starters--but considering the location, the large parking area, and the design of the venue--you have to pay for that location just off the interstate, and for the comfort inside. Plus the quality of the food and the service. Is Las Trojas my go-to place, nope, but it would be for groups, and for a leisurely dinner with friends. You need these options in every growing Murfreesboro.

It's one of our favorite things about going to get Mexican food. Plate wasn't hot. The steak quesadilla was more like a fajita taco I suppose. I also ordered a small cheese dip that was not hot. It was barely warm enough to dip a chip in and scoop a clump out. We were sat at our table, chips and salsa brought with no waters for 10 minutes. Once our server did show up it seemed like he was busy doing other things. I still wish they would change the lightbulbs to a warm white versus the obnoxious daylight bulbs. We will wait a while before coming back.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!
