Chuy's definitely has an upbeat vibe and all the other guests seem to have tons of energy. It just happened to be happy hour, so we ordered some margaritas, a beer and an order of queso compuesto. Their chips are so light and tasty. The. Creamy Jalapeño Salsa and queso compuesto were absolutely delicious. Our party ordered the House Made Tortilla Soup, steak fajitas and a Chuy Gooey. Everyone seems satisfied with their dinners. While the fajitas were a little underseasoned, they were still delicious. Just needed a hint of salt. Overall, the evening was incredible. I have been to this location a couple of times, and let me tell you, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food is always good. One of my favorite things about Chuy's, to me, is the salsa and the jalapeño ranch. If I go to a Mexican restaurant and the salsa is bad, the food typically is as well, that's not the case for Chuy's. I wish there was one on my side of town, fingers crossed we can get on in Wilson County. I totally recommend, you get a lot of good food for the money. I will definitely be back. read more

The chips and salsa were the best part of the meal... This was a 2 order table. My friend ordered the chicken fajita burrito and a margarita, that didn't have any alcohol in it. My boyfriend and I ordered the mixed fajita burrito and the king's memorial platter. An iced tea and Dr. Pepper. Our server was rude, and too interested in watching her co workers playing with each other. The table behind us never got the food that they ordered. Not quite sure about the bad reviews. Personally being from California. I don't expect good Mexican food anywhere else really. Even in other states on the border it's different. When my family said we were going to the only good Mexican place out here I was still unsure. But when I saw Tex mex I got more optimistic. I really enjoyed the meal. The service was great and so was the music and vibes. LOVE the cilantro sauce that comes with the chips. My sister in law even took a container to go. The salsa is also really good. I don't care for hot sauce type salsa. I prefer thick, chunky, slightly spicy one and that's what you get here. Being Tex mex there was a lot of green chile in the menu. Not a huge fan but I went ahead and ordered the green chile fried chicken and asked for some of the cilantro sauce for it. The chicken was awesome and really hit the spot. Rice and beans were good. I like when the beans come with cheese but that might be a California thing and not many places can top my grandmas rice but these sides were adequate. We also had the sampler appetizer. I only tried the flauta because that's what I intended to order for my meal and it was good, I would recommend. The iced tea was really good. I ate a lot of Chuy's in college, so a meal at any of their locations always feels a bit nostalgic to me. As far as chain restaurants go, Chuy's is top tier. Everything is made in-house (including their sauces) and most of the items on their menu are relatively inexpensive! My husband and I stopped at this location for dinner on the way to a music festival, and grabbed a few of the open high-tops in the bar area. Our waitress was awesome - I wish I remembered her name! She brought our drinks and food out to us quickly, and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed during our dinner. I've had practically everything on the menu at this point, and while I truly don't think there's a bad order, there are some definite highlights. The combo fajitas are perfect for sharing, but if your partner has eyes for a burrito instead, you can opt for the chicken fajita tacos to enjoy the same type of food in a smaller dish. Disappointing. This location of Chuy's has gone down since Covid. To begin with, the table was extremely sticky. The floor looked as though it had not had a thorough cleaning in a while. There was food under the tables from previous diners. The restaurant was not busy on this Wednesday night at all so whoever was responsible to clean had plenty of opportunities. The margarita was syrupy sweet. The beef fajita tacos al carbon had an unbelievable amount of onions on them and very little meat. The chips and salsas were fine. Additionally, our server did not know why the chile rellenos were not on the menu, but thought maybe they had them on the weekend? Frankly, she seemed confused about several of the items on the menu. We have always enjoyed Chuy's but this time the place was different. The menu has changed less variety. And the place needs a good cleaning. The pendant lights above the booths are covered in what looks like paper dots and are coming off. You can see inside the lights and I don't think they had ever been cleaned. The service was okay a little slow. I ordered the fajitas the tortillas were not done. My husband ordered the burrito bowl and the hamburger meat was cold and had no flavor. I've been going to this same location for the past 16 years, and not once have I had a horrible experience. Chuy's is still one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants. I recently enjoyed their new Chile relleno, with its light and crunchy batter, and flavorful filling. I loved this type of batter than the egg one that's found at most Mexican restaurants. Came here for lunch today after a nice walk so we were good and hungry. Got seated right away, drinks came out fast and staff friendly and helpful. My husband ordered some enchiladas and I got the combo fajitas. Both had good flavor and seasonings. Meats were moist. I ate half my food and still had alot of left overs. This Chuys was great until the last couple years. Not sure what exactly changed, but I assume they got another chef or something. The food had gotten way too spicy. Pers I love the heat, but my wife and kids don't. other Chuys in middle Tennessee cook the food a little less spicy, but the one in Murfreesboro seems like it's trying to prove something it seems. Unfortunately my family never wants to go with me anymore. Perhaps they should consider taming it a little before they lose a lot of families wanting to eat good Tex-mex. You can always add heat as an individual with sauces, but you can't reduce the heat for people (especially children) who can't handle the spice level. I hope they figure it out, because I'm tired of having to drive to Franklin,TN Chuy's just to get my family to go with me. My first impression about 11 years ago was just "meh". However, I gave it another try. It certainly has some items that are very good and what is would say are exclusive to Chuy's. Anything with Creamy Jalapeño is going to be great--I could drink that stuff. I usually order a large order to go. Recently, I tried the taco salad--Very fresh and filling. We usually order take out here because we like the food but the service inside tends to disappoint. We ordered our meal and picked it up. They used to give you for two people (two meals) a salsa each. I was informed upon receiving one of each that they will charge you $2.50 per container for extra even though if you dine-in you can have all you want. I could understand charging if we were asking for like four or five but one per person is not extravagant. It's sad to see them being so cheap and not taking care of customers. Okay, let me start with the fact that it's been like 5 or more years since I've eaten at Chuy's. We went yesterday afternoon for lunch hungry and ready to eat. As we walked in, I was quite nervous about the wait length being that it was quite packed in there. But to my surprise we were seated in a nice booth in the corner immediately. Then our server, Leah, greeted us almost as soon as we sat down, ready to take our drink order. I was quite impressed. Our server was extremely nice, calm, and ready to answer any questions we may have had. I ordered the Big As Yo' Face Burrito with Fajita Beef covered in queso. I asked for beans on the side and for the Fajita veggies in my burrito. She kindly told that was definitely doable. My parents order the crispy tacos and the beef Fajitas. While we waited for our food we indulged in the greatest tortilla chips known to mankind. Light. Crispy. Thin. A tad greasy. Just begging you to over do it. Man. They were amazing. Then the salsa being made from actual fresh ingredients and not a can was just another level of delight. Only complaint, if I had to give one, was that it could've used a little more salt. Other than that, BEST SALSA YOU CAN ORDER OUT! Freshness, taste, heat, best around. The Creamy Jalapeño Dip is bomb. It's my Dad's favorite. He said he could just put the dish to his head and drink it by itself. Then we asked if we could taste the BoomBoom Sauce. I literally could've licked the dish out in the restaurant not caring who saw. It was that good and it just got better with each taste too. Literally gonna ask if they can do like a half and half situation (half queso and half boom boom). Then the food came after we made it through 3 batches of fresh, well-salted, delicious goodness. Thank God too cause I could've eaten another 5 batches of those chips. They're literally... I can't even... So, the burrito. How do you describe this level of deliciousness? It was like taking a bite of Heaven.... Everything was on point. The queso (seasoned, salted, perfect). The tortilla (soft, not too overwhelming). The beef (tender, well-seasoned, and not overcooked). With the veggies (like adding whip cream to the top of a shake or cake). Seriously it was so big, plus the amount of chips I ate, I took the rest home and ate it cold. And it was still amazing. I may have to make it a point to come back to Chuy's once a week, every week... I don't order tacos out, unless it's street tacos because usually it's sketchy ground meat, warm lettuce and tomatoes, but their tacos are definitely the best tacos I've had out. The taco shell was unique, and the meat was actually seasoned. Only complant is it needed sauce, like I should've ordered a side of boom boom or queso or something (that could just be the Caribbean in me always wanting gravy). The fajitas came out sizzling, just the way we like it. Not over cooked. Not under cooked. Pretty close to perfect. The well-seasoned meat was accompanied by a healthy serving of lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. Only complaint, the three tortillas that came with this meal were a little hard on the sides which to me meant that they weren't as fresh. Nevertheless, the fajitas were quite delicious. I just wanna shout out to our server one more time who was amazing trying her best to accommodate us. Reliable service, Delicious food, and Eclectic decor. This restaurant is one of my murfreesboro favorites. The thin chips and queso dip are both addictive (but you have to pay extra for the queso). The grilled chicken had a great flavor and tortillas were thick, warm, and coated with flour. The prices are a little high, but the quality and portions are great. The restaurant is brightly colored and filled with unique art, pictures, and lights-- an atmosphere perfect for the whole family. The last time we ordered TexasTinis they were basically without alcohol but tonight was better. We know because we have been here more than any place else and it used to be consistent. I had no cheese on my meal and I can say my Views have changed and I will definitely be back to this location. Thank you Brad for rectify the situation and resolving it I will be back. Prior to my visit this week I probably haven't been to a Chuy's in 5 or 6 years but not much has changed. Their menu, decor and service were largely the same as I remember but overall that's a pretty good thing because I've always had good experiences there. I had one of the gigantic burritos, sans meat, just went with bean and cheeses smothered in ranchero sauce. It came out hot tasted fresh and hit all the right notes. Others in our party enjoyed some crunchy tacos, and the boom boom chicken enchiladas. Personally I think the boom boom chicken enchiladas stole the show but everyone was happy. Today, I came for lunch with co-workers and I enjoyed the grilled Baja shrimp tacos. The rice was okay and the tortilla chips are thin and salty which I actually liked. The shrimp tacos were good and our server was fantastic. I only come here about once every year or two when someone else really wants to come but I've never chosen to eat here because of past experiences with "okay" food. I have all look ways been a fan of Chuy's- consistent, fresh and great service. It has been my neighborhood go to spot for years, but this location has taken a nose dive in service and hospitality. We went in at 4:30 pm today- not a lunch or dinner rush, and the hostess directed us to open seating at the bar and then none of the 3 servers standing in the drink well or the bartender counting inventory greeted us. We sat there for 3-4 minutes at the bar- which had no one else at it- when the bartender finally decided to step down off her ladder from inventory and say "Someone will be with you in a minute", and then proceeded to climb back up the ladder to count more inventory. I have to say that Chuy's is pretty much the same experience no matter which location you go to. I wouldn't call Chuy's Mexican food, but instead TexMex or Americanized Mexican food. I do like their cheese dip, but think it's way over priced for what you get. And the fajitas are ok. I know that there are a number of decent items on the menu, but honestly if I'm wanting Hispanic fare, I'd rather go to a more traditional Mexican restaurant or even a curbside torta cart or Mexican market. Another hit! Great wait staff and great food! What more would you ask for! Our waiter was spot on! Prompt, polite and timely! We sat down and he promptly was there for the first round of order requests. And as quickly as we shared our drink requests back he was with drinks and Chips-Salsa! Bam! Awesome start!! Gave us time to find our meals and he was back to take the orders! He wasn't overbearing and obnoxious! Almost like he was stalking us! In a good way! But this time I didn't care!! Almost as soon as the plate hit the table he says, the kitchen got that plate wrong! He was hugely apologetic and wanted to make it right! We express the desire for extra onions. My wife and I had read some reviews online that 's Mexican restaurant. We went there today around 1 o'clock. there were a fair there, but they had ample staff to handle it. our was very very slow. We three or four couples come in sit down and leave after no one waiting on them. We got two frozen margaritas the chips and salsa. The salsa was extremely hot and I can mild or medium, but this was overboard. There was a side dish of ranch dressing dip for the chips, which was uneventful. Everything on the menu was pretty high for lunch environment the. there was no separate items to order. The cheapest thing on the menu was about 12 bucks which we ordered. It taco salad supposedly with chicken fajita was chopped in the small cubes and there was no taco shell or bowl tortillas and the salad was just very bland. I will never be going back to Chuy's again because it is unlike any other Mexican restaurant that we have ever meant to.
