Inside of restaurant (more seating to the right, not pictured) and ordering counter on the left along the wall.

I ordered the beef milanesa torta and it was just some perfectly. Plenty of meat, avocado and the chipotle sauce combined perfectly with the melted cheese and refried beans. Service was pretty fast considering it was lunch time. The restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign. Nice setting and not loud.

Definitely the best tortas I've had, and I'm told by my Mexican spouse that they're very authentic as well. The tortas shine in quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in how they're prepared. The bread is super soft and you can really taste every ingredient in the torta. We had the Michoacana and the Norteña and they were both excellent. The milanese in the Norteña stood out more than any other milanese-based torta I've tried, and the carnitas in the Michoacana was tender and delicious. Both tortas also had all these subtle Mexican flavors and spices throughout, every bite was delightful. We also tried their tamarind agua fresca and it was great, very refreshing. Looking forward to coming back soon and working through more of their menu!

Decent tortas... came here based on the reviews- left me wanting a little more. Fries are good but almost seven dollars. Space is clean and inviting. Sandwich was cohesive but nothing cohesive, wish they had a salsa bar. Rice pudding was solid.

Cool little tortas spot. I usually don't eat them but it was recommended and I wasn't disappointed. Got the nortena (steak) and Michoacana (pork loin). Just to be clear, in Michoacán we use pork shoulder or butt. Are carinatas are like no other. Loin was good considering it wasn't those parts. The food was all fresh. Great taste and filling. I ate half of eat sandwich and was good. We call these holes in the wall. Regular spot to sit and eat. No issues with service.

Their grand opening last week. We were the first ones in.

NOOO. No, no, no. I don't know WHAT has happened to this place, but after three crappy sandwiches, this third experience was enough. Las Tortas tastes like SH*T. Dude, like who wants soggy sandwiches? Their bread used to be so perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside, even when you save your second half for later! For the first time, the entire torta tasted like shit. No flavor inside, and soggy ass bread surrounding the sandwich. Like soooooooggy. Yes, I called and asked if they did refunds, of course they don't unless they "made a mistake." (Is this NOT a mistake?) But I let them know that this is actually the third time that they've served a unsatisfying sandwich (I let her know the previous times were flavorless, too, with UNsoggy bread). I don't know. Sucks I spent almost $13 for this good sized Torta... ...but it'll unfortunately be my last. I just had to come here and b*tch about my experience. Haha. And warn y'all that I don't stand by my previous review and they no longer deserve my 5 star review.

    La Cubana. Must get.

This hole in the wall place is LEGIT. Atmosphere - 4/5 - I love hole in the wall places, and this one definitely fits the category. Very small location, and it was busy with locals. Always a good sign. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly, but knows very little English (which was no problem at all). I was willing to pay for extra sauces, but the staff just handed me a few. The spicy sauce is very tasty (has a little kick). Food - 4.5/5 - Ordered the following: Cubana - 5/5 - This thing was a beast. It had Chorizo, Milanesa, Ham,  Hot Dog, Smoked Pork Chop & Eggs. Yeah....Monster sized portion for under $10. Must get Jalisco - 4.5/5 - I really enjoyed this one as well, but after having the Cubana, it wasn't the same. Overall, for the size, price, and taste? You cannot go wrong with this spot.

With so many choices here it's hard to pick which torta to get! You can pick any and you won't be disappointed though.

The prices listed here are half of what you'll pay. They know this. I paid $17 and change for a cubana that was listed for $8.18.

I got the tomato cheddar bagel and pepper jack cheese, egg, bacon and avocado with Jalapeño cream cheese. Trust. Go in person, it was around 9 when I went and it was starting to pick up I could tell the back also had a lot of to go orders they were putting out. They were super friendly even though busy and I really appreciate that. Cool vibe inside as well and clean.

The sandwich did not have two of the ingredients listed in the description, one of which was the main protein, the falafel. Instead of arugula, it had romaine lettuce, which a much cheaper and less dense option. It was slopped together haphazardly with no design or preparation. It completely fell apart and had to be eaten in sections. I had to make my own version of a falafel sandwich at home using the ingredients from the sandwich. Worst yet, I called them to ask why there was no falafel and they simply stated they had been out of falafel for a month! No apologies or any kind of restitution was offered for my ridiculously overpriced bagel with hummus spread tossed together with some sloppy veggies. The person in the phone lacked any idea that you can't sell a sandwich at full price without disclosing the sandwich was not going to contain two of the main ingredients. I then wrote to letter to management to see if anyone else would be interested in learning they are selling sandwiches without the main ingredients and got no response whatsoever. I was hoping that they would at least offer me a chance to get another sandwich, a discount on my next purchase, or literally anything at all. Crickets! Since this experience so awful and I feel l completely ripped off without giving themselves any chance for redemption, I will not be returning. This is not the way any customer should be treated when they are paying a lot of money for a product they do not have. A little communication would have been nice. I'm not sure why they bother to offer an email address in their website if they are choosing to ignore customer feedback.

While the former Ambli space has been brightened and renovated to look very much like an east shore market, the seating is less than comfortable. I guess the combo of poor food, bad service and uncomfortable seating is great for turning tables? I will put aside the TERRIBLE service and focus purely on the food. We ate at Zaidy's for breakfast. Many of the breakfast sandwiches are based on their in-house-made bagels. This is a failure! The bagels taste stale for "freshly made" and I find it very odd for a Jewish-themed joint to toss bacon into the sandwich (I personally love bacon, BTW). So setting aside the shanda (shame) bacon...with the cheese, there is an utter lack of seasoning. The breakfast sandwich came with home fried potatoes which were cooked nice and crisp but lacking any seasoning whatsoever. The latke grilled cheese looks appealing but is basically a greasy sponge filled with limp tomato and undercoooked cheese. And finally, the blintzes are an embarrassment to any self-respecting Jew. Zaddy's version are these small pockets that are under fried and more the size of a hamantaschen than a true blinze. I see no reason to rush back. Another few blocks down the street is Sam's 3, where a far better breakfast could be realized and Rosenberg's bagel on Monoco for better bread (albeit that Rosenberg's doesn't serve sandwiches)

I found this place specifically thru Yelp because it was featured on the "Top 100 Sandwiches" list,…read moreso I stopped by with a few friends during my visit to Denver. I must say... it deserves it's recognition. The Banh Mi here is excellent! I got to try the LEMONGRASS GRILLED PORK. The pork is well marinated with a slightly sweet taste. There is a good amount of meat inside. It typically comes with cilantro & jalapeños inside which you can always opt out. But I feel like the sauces & veggies inside paired so well together. The bread is super crunchy that you will be in a bread crumb mess afterwards. But, it's all worth it because it tastes great. My friends all loved it here. For a traditional Banh Mi experience, I would totally recommend this spot. Ordering is super easy. There is a machine in which you can order & pay through there or go straight up to the counter. The food will be ready fairly quick so you can be in & out within a few minutes. And there is a parking out front. So, there is no reason not to try this place.

Was looking for a light lunch option while I was touring nearby DU, and found this place based on…read moresome recommendations. So glad I came, this place is fantastic. Service was great, food came fast, but most importantly, the banh mi was hella delicious. I wish it had a few more jalapeño, but I bet it's a local preference thing, and I'm sure if I asked, they would have added. Also, I'm kind of a pig when I am away from home (hence my search for something light), and I'm always concerned a sandwich doesn't fill me up, but I am stuffed. Way more satisfying than a Subway sandwich, although comparing the two is somewhat insulting to this banh mi. I added the combo that provides an egg roll and iced coffee (I was going to buy a coffee for $5 anyways, the combo is $4. No brainer). Coffee is also delicious, and much larger than I thought it would be. TL/DR - Highly recommend this place. I will come again next time I'm in the area. PS - Tables are clean, restrooms are clean. Bonus.
