Decent tortas... came here based on the reviews- left me wanting a little more. Fries are good but almost seven dollars. Space is clean and inviting. Sandwich was cohesive but nothing cohesive, wish they had a salsa bar. Rice pudding was solid.

Cool little tortas spot. I usually don't eat them but it was recommended and I wasn't disappointed. Got the nortena (steak) and Michoacana (pork loin). Just to be clear, in Michoacán we use pork shoulder or butt. Are carinatas are like no other. Loin was good considering it wasn't those parts. The food was all fresh. Great taste and filling. I ate half of eat sandwich and was good. We call these holes in the wall. Regular spot to sit and eat. No issues with service.

Their grand opening last week. We were the first ones in.

NOOO. No, no, no. I don't know WHAT has happened to this place, but after three crappy sandwiches, this third experience was enough. Las Tortas tastes like SH*T. Dude, like who wants soggy sandwiches? Their bread used to be so perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside, even when you save your second half for later! For the first time, the entire torta tasted like shit. No flavor inside, and soggy ass bread surrounding the sandwich. Like soooooooggy. Yes, I called and asked if they did refunds, of course they don't unless they "made a mistake." (Is this NOT a mistake?) But I let them know that this is actually the third time that they've served a unsatisfying sandwich (I let her know the previous times were flavorless, too, with UNsoggy bread). I don't know. Sucks I spent almost $13 for this good sized Torta... ...but it'll unfortunately be my last. I just had to come here and b*tch about my experience. Haha. And warn y'all that I don't stand by my previous review and they no longer deserve my 5 star review.

Nice location, friendly staff, good portions and wow...great flavor! I was skeptical about eating Mexican food in Colorado since I am from Chicago and we have some really good Mexican restaurants, but this place did NOT disappoint! I would definitely eat here again!

La Cubana. Must get.

This hole in the wall place is LEGIT. Atmosphere - 4/5 - I love hole in the wall places, and this one definitely fits the category. Very small location, and it was busy with locals. Always a good sign. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly, but knows very little English (which was no problem at all). I was willing to pay for extra sauces, but the staff just handed me a few. The spicy sauce is very tasty (has a little kick). Food - 4.5/5 - Ordered the following: Cubana - 5/5 - This thing was a beast. It had Chorizo, Milanesa, Ham,  Hot Dog, Smoked Pork Chop & Eggs. Yeah....Monster sized portion for under $10. Must get Jalisco - 4.5/5 - I really enjoyed this one as well, but after having the Cubana, it wasn't the same. Overall, for the size, price, and taste? You cannot go wrong with this spot.

With so many choices here it's hard to pick which torta to get! You can pick any and you won't be disappointed though.

The prices listed here are half of what you'll pay. They know this. I paid $17 and change for a cubana that was listed for $8.18.

WOW! Hands-down the best sandwich I've had, literally ever. Good filling, good bread, and tons of flavor packed in one.

Moe's Broadway Bagel - Bagel & lox

Service is always quick and the location is clean. My favorite Asiago bagel in town! Love that they don't skimp on the cream cheese. No bagel place is the same compared to Moe's!

I have fond…read morememories of eating at their now closed 16th street location when I used to live downtown, so had to pay this new location a visit. It's really nice, spacious and clean inside. The staff are extremely friendly. My go-to order in the past has been the Flame'n Moe, and I will say it was certainly not as good as when I've had it in the past. Just tasted pretty dry to me and wasn't a tiny bit spicy. I remember this sandwich having a kick and just generally balanced all around, but really all I tasted this time around was sun-dried tomatoes. We did do a bagel & lox though and it was very good. The bagel itself was pretty tasty. Not a perfect bagel by any means, but very good for Denver standards. This would be a 4 star review (because the flame'n moe was disappointing) but I'm giving them a 5 because (a) their bagels are solid, which is hard to do in Denver, (b) the bagel & lox was fantastic and (c) their prices are extremely reasonable and facilitate repeat visits. I'm so, so sick of going to places like Bagel Deli and Rosenburgs and spending $17 for a bagel & lox. Here their prices are $9-$12 for a pretty decently sized and tasty sandwich. It's great to have a clean place with friendly people where I can just walk in and grab a simple bagel without feeling ripped off. This chain is a Denver institution. It's not perfect but it's just good enough to be a regular stop, and I'm happy to support it.

Zaidy's Deli & Bakery (established in 1985) is such a classic spot with deep roots in Denver's food…read morescene. Originally started by Gerard Rudofsky downtown at 17th & Curtis before moving to Cherry Creek, it became a true staple in the Jewish community and a go-to place for everything from celebrations to comfort during more difficult moments. We were greeted so warmly when we arrived and had the chance to try a variety of items. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor--we sampled the pickles, sandwiches, desserts, soup, bagels, and a few other dishes, and it was all really good. You can tell it's a place that values tradition and consistency. Overall, I highly recommend Zaidy's if you're looking to support a longstanding Colorado staple with great food and welcoming service.

While the former Ambli space has been brightened and renovated to look very much like an east shore market, the seating is less than comfortable. I guess the combo of poor food, bad service and uncomfortable seating is great for turning tables? I will put aside the TERRIBLE service and focus purely on the food. We ate at Zaidy's for breakfast. Many of the breakfast sandwiches are based on their in-house-made bagels. This is a failure! The bagels taste stale for "freshly made" and I find it very odd for a Jewish-themed joint to toss bacon into the sandwich (I personally love bacon, BTW). So setting aside the shanda (shame) bacon...with the cheese, there is an utter lack of seasoning. The breakfast sandwich came with home fried potatoes which were cooked nice and crisp but lacking any seasoning whatsoever. The latke grilled cheese looks appealing but is basically a greasy sponge filled with limp tomato and undercoooked cheese. And finally, the blintzes are an embarrassment to any self-respecting Jew. Zaddy's version are these small pockets that are under fried and more the size of a hamantaschen than a true blinze. I see no reason to rush back. Another few blocks down the street is Sam's 3, where a far better breakfast could be realized and Rosenberg's bagel on Monoco for better bread (albeit that Rosenberg's doesn't serve sandwiches)

Service was great, food came fast, but most importantly, the banh mi was hella delicious. I wish it had a few more jalapeño, but I bet it's a local preference thing, and I'm sure if I asked, they would have added. Also, I'm kind of a pig when I am away from home (hence my search for something light), and I'm always concerned a sandwich doesn't fill me up, but I am stuffed. Way more satisfying than a Subway sandwich, although comparing the two is somewhat insulting to this banh mi. I added the combo that provides an egg roll and iced coffee (I was going to buy a coffee for $5 anyways, the combo is $4. No brainer). Coffee is also delicious, and much larger than I thought it would be. TL/DR - Highly recommend this place. I will come again next time I'm in the area. PS - Tables are clean, restrooms are clean. Bonus.

When you take a bite you still get a light crunch from the crust of the bread. This texture adds to the sandwich's flavorful, grilled pork. I especially liked the light crunchy flavor of the pickled radish which is generously sprinkled on top. I couldn't eat the entire sandwich in one sitting but it was gone before the end of the day! The location is okay. It could use some asthetic upgrades but it's got that hidden gem feeling AND flavor. The ladies working were friendly. I will definitely be back!!!
