I ordered the beef milanesa torta and it was just some perfectly. Plenty of meat, avocado and the chipotle sauce combined perfectly with the melted cheese and refried beans. Definitely the best tortas I've had, and I'm told by my Mexican spouse that they're very authentic as well. The tortas shine in quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in how they're prepared. The bread is super soft and you can really taste every ingredient in the torta. We had the Michoacana and the Norteña and they were both excellent. The milanese in the Norteña stood out more than any other milanese-based torta I've tried, and the carnitas in the Michoacana was tender and delicious. Both tortas also had all these subtle Mexican flavors and spices throughout, every bite was delightful. We also tried their tamarind agua fresca and it was great, very refreshing. Someone marked this place as closed, but they just moved. Now located on Colorado Blvd behind the Panera. They opened this location about a week ago and I had been meaning to check it out at the previous location but never got to. So today was the day. We ordered over the phone because their website ordering is a bit weird and confusing. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes and that was true. Super fast. The lady that took the order and was there for pickup was extremely nice. I got the Jalisco torta with steak and chicken and everything that comes on it. It was SOOO good. So messy too but well worth the mess. I especially loved the avocado and the spiciness of the chipotle. Great flavor. I am excited for this new location and will definitely be trying other tortas and items on the menu. read more

NOOO. No, no, no. I don't know WHAT has happened to this place, but after three crappy sandwiches, this third experience was enough. Las Tortas tastes like SH*T. Dude, like who wants soggy sandwiches? Their bread used to be so perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside, even when you save your second half for later! For the first time, the entire torta tasted like shit. No flavor inside, and soggy ass bread surrounding the sandwich. Like soooooooggy. Yes, I called and asked if they did refunds, of course they don't unless they "made a mistake." (Is this NOT a mistake?) But I let them know that this is actually the third time that they've served a unsatisfying sandwich (I let her know the previous times were flavorless, too, with UNsoggy bread). I don't know. Sucks I spent almost $13 for this good sized Torta... ...but it'll unfortunately be my last. I just had to come here and b*tch about my experience. Haha. I somehow haven't reviewed this place since they moved to a bigger and better spot nearby, so it's time I do that. Same great tortas, with a lot more parking and a bigger dining area now. What's not to like? Their torta menu is huge, and you can make your own too if for some reason they don't have the combination you want. Always a good sign. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly, but knows very little English (which was no problem at all). I was willing to pay for extra sauces, but the staff just handed me a few. The spicy sauce is very tasty (has a little kick). Food - 4.5/5 - Ordered the following: Cubana - 5/5 - This thing was a beast. It had Chorizo, Milanesa, Ham,  Hot Dog, Smoked Pork Chop & Eggs. We've wanted to try this place for a while after reading the great reviews, but always found an excuse since we're not huge sandwich people. That being said, we will def be back here again! We got the La Cubana and the Torta Loca, but only ate half because they are hefty! Both were amazing and you seriously can't go wrong with either choice. Don't let the exterior fool you. This food is legit! Ordered the Norteña, and split it. Made to order, we watched as our torta was cooking and being assembled. Our sandwich came right off of the grill, and as we took the first bite it was almost too hot to eat. Steam was coming off of the meat, but the veggies were nice and cold. We are HUGE fans of Ls Tortas. It not fancy. Its not expensive. Its not big. But its god damn delicious. Its cheap, no frills, no BS mexican sandwiches. We've been picking up Las Tortas for well over two years. Our favorites are the chorizo and barbacoa tortas. Just the right amount of meat, avo, cheese, tomatoes, and onions. And a nice helping of buttery toasted torta bread. If you wanna get crazy the gema torta, which is dipped in salsa roja, is always a nice way to change it up. We caught an Uber to Las Tortas, which is about 5 minutes right outside Cherry Creek, maybe 15-20 from downtown, but it's definitely the way you're supposed to bring in a trip. Now for those who might be asking, "what is a tortas", it's nothing but a mexican sandwich, so a sandwich basically. History lesson: Tortas are available throughout Mexico, the American Southwest, and anywhere with a large number of Mexican immigrants. So if I don't see Mexicans in your kitchen, that isn't a real tortas fam! Cut it out! Now onto the sandwich, I mean tortas: Grilled chicken on grilled toast with melted cheese, mayonnaise, avocado, tomato, onion, chipotle sauce, and jalapeño. The best part for me is the grilled toast. How often do you get a sandwich and it's sloppy, like falls apart as you eat it? I met a guy this time that says he eats here daily. That's crazy! Each addition/ingredient to the sandwich meshes well with the chicken and homemade hot sauce make in house and provide you. It's a magical, cohesive experience that everyone visiting Denver must try. I usually get it with fries and a horchata. That's all I've tried on the menu but as I was walking out, someone told me to get the quesadilla next time, so I think I will. The menu was honestly pretty confusing, there were like 4 different "tortas" sections and we had no idea what the difference was between them. We ended up getting the Suiza and the Nortena. The "Las Tortas" was a very pleasant surprise. Found it on Yelp review for the star ratings and when I walked in I knew this would be an adventure. Firstly, my Spanish is limited to cerveza porva bot and mass cerveza. The menus is all in Spanish which made ordering fun. I asked for what they did best and was recommended the Jalisco, or at least that I think that's what I heard and I said let's do it. It. Was a great chicken and steak sandwich dressed with veggies and a toasted scalloped bread. It was delicious. I also chased it with a couple of Modelo Victoria beers that were nicely chilled.
