When the boyfriend and I first moved to the area, we were elated to find tex-mex within walking distance. But we were not impressed with our 1st meal. Chips were stale and they use American cheese on the enchiladas; it lacked flavor. We hadn't intended on going back, but we noticed they sell Caldo de Res which is not always available at tex-mex places and I definitely vouch for it! It's just been very hit or miss, I'm not Latino so I cannot speak based on the perspective of one no matter how often I get confused as one. I've been here twice, once three years ago and the tacos were fantastic however after enjoying the local Deni Deli, Chicos, and various taco stands, those smaller establishments were far better in taste on my recent trip. I ordered Nachos with beans and I've tasted the driest cheese and beans in my life. It was worse then the similar priced nacho dish from Denni's which included beef at the same price point. I had to drink two dos equis to get the taste out my mouth. The dish was piping hot but never was I ever confused as I was that day! The spices were mild, the salsa was watery. Love the convenience and ambiance of this place. We have been several times and the service is always great. Absolutely the best margaritas, especially for the price. I also love their chips and salsa. The food is reasonably priced. We have had different things, and the only complaint is that it isn't consistent. Tacos will be delicious one trip and too greasy to eat on others. The enchiladas are usually good, but last time they were burned. Still, overall the food is good, inexpensive and the chips and salsa alone are worth the trip. read more

I really do want to give this place more stars. They do have really good food at great prices. It is literally within walking distance from my house. But when I sit down for 10 minutes without a greeting while I watch the waitress chat, sorry I can't give more than 2 stars. We got up and left without even getting our drinks. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. Great happy hour prices on jumbo margaritas and the food is great. They have karaoke every week which I thought was strange at first but it is actually quite entertaining. Love the chicken fajitas and margaritas here! read more

This establishment is on my "uh nope! Never again!" list. When I went the shrimp in my quesadia were only half done and after a few bites I noticed a weird fishy smell. I stopped eating at that point, but it still caused issues. I asked for no guacamole and when the plate came with it on it & on part of my food, instead of making a new plate they simply stepped to a table beside ours, scraped off the guacamole and removed the piece of quesadia that was partially covered with it. My friend's food was also inedible and sent back, yet we were still charged for some of our order. As we were saying goodbye to the rest of our party, one of the chair legs broke & I noticed that the legs of several chairs were duct taped together. This place is legend in the Spring area. LOTS of loyal followers and Im one. Is it high end ? no.... Is the food good ? YES. the margaritas are strong and taste good. I have actually asked for weaker ritas. Im a tequila drinker so I love me a rita. I almost always have the Nachos and they are solid. I also order their Camarones Ramadas which hits the spot for me. Tex Mex done well. it is a family restaurant and they will take care of you. it is busy on a friday night, so be patient and relax. make some friends and chill out. the restaurant is as much as a social spot on the weekend as it is an eatery, so come ready to hang out and chat if you care to. read more

I really want to see this place make it. There aren't a ton of choices within walking distance, and the staff is very happy and friendly. Prices are definitely good. The salsa is good, not the best ever, but good. I don't eat the green sauce anywhere, but everyone that does seems to enjoy it well enough. The wait staff is very attentive and our drinks always stay full. The food is good, not the best ever, but good. Their cheese enchiladas are very good, though. I would like more flavourful beans and more consistency on the quality of the rest if the food. Definitely not a bad place to go and grab a quick lunch with friends. Also, sidenote, they have lovely handcarved chairs, to me that says, along with the staff being so friendly and helpful, that the owner does really cars about his business. :) read more

Ok I have been here a bunch. I guess I am a gluton for punishment. Usually the service is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I had been here one time and my son ordered the chicken fingers and they came out raw! I mean totally pink red on the inside. I did not go back for at least a year. I started to go back after the year and now this is the second time my credit card has been charged twice for the same bill. Some anniversary 10/17/2012, I've eaten here before and had a wonderful experience. They advertised for months "8th Anniversary" Free drinks with the purchase of a meal limit 2 per customer. That's fine, but they did not enclose size, flavor, ect. After dinner we are presented with our bill. Charging us for our drinks. So I made a stink about it and got to free but that's not my point. False Advertisement and not owning up to that fact. Come to find out the free drinks are served in 6 to 8 oz cups, this is something I did not know and was not informed until the end of night. But that's how they make there money, and sorry to say they will not be making any more from me. read more
