I'm from Houston, but have lived in Denver for over a decade, so naturally the FIRST thing I want when I visit is TEXMEX. My brother lives near this restaurant and says it's his and his family's favorite local spot. I was so pleased with Las Ramadas, from the food, customer service and environment! When I walked in for my takeout order (at about 9pm on a Friday) they were doing karaoke and there were some cute couples dancing around the tables. Everyone was so happy and the energy was high! We came here on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was clean and quiet. We were seated immediately, multiple people came to our table to get our drink order. We ordered a watermelon and strawberry jumbo margarita. Once we got a chance to look at the menu we realized there were a lot of options but we ended up picking the fajitas for 3, they did not skimp on the meat or the tortillas. The fajitas were tasty but maybe a bit too salty for my taste buds. Again, multiple people came to check on us while we were eating. I first tried this restaurant when my job had our Christmas party here. The staff is nice and most waiters are bilingual. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. The parking is decent. The restaurant is in a strip center that houses other small businesses. The restaurant is small and cozy. Perfect for local family lunch and dinners. The restaurant has great natural lighting. The food is really good to me. They bring chips and salsa to the table. I have only gotten the Tampiqueña Dinner which comes with beef, but I added chicken to the dish. The meal comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas, one cheese enchilada, rice, refried beans, with pico de gallo and guacamole. The pico and guacamole are always fresh. The portion size is more than enough food and I left with leftovers. The meal mentioned during lunch hours is $13.47. I wouldn't recommend their queso. The cheese is too watery and lacks flavor. No onion or rotel tomatoes were put in the queso for added flavor. Their Coca Cola drink is so good to me and was crisp. The soft drinks are $2.86 with unlimited refills. This restaurant also has a great lunch menu offered 7 days a week. For a local restaurant that is the closest thing to eating out within the surrounding area, I would highly recommend this place. read more

Cinco De Mayo experience was trash. Tried a new place and it looked okay. It then went downhill fast. The specials on the frozen margaritas was priced okay , but they were not frozen at all, they they were kool aid, no alcohol in it whats so ever. The food came to the table separately and was extremely salty and cold. The service was was HORRIBLE the waitress was clueless and then after telling her about the food and drinks. She said if you pay cash you get a 4% discount. What's funny to me is you can have excuses for your food/service, but then you still expect the full amount of pay. Thur. We had girls night and it was amazing.... the waitress was very attentive and kept our Margaritas full during happy hour. She even took all 8 food orders with out a pen and got them right. The salsa is very good. Reminds me of something from home. Every dish was served hot and fresh. My wife's margarita seem to need some flavor, but I am not a drinker, so don't hold it against me. Then as we waited for someone else they kept asking us ever 2 minutes if we were ready even though we had told them we had someone else coming. I went here with my family when I was at home for Christmas. I've come here before and I thought it was in the 2-3 star range, but didn't write a review then. When waiting for our drinks, a roach crawled out from under the table and was scurrying around on top of the table. My mom slammed her menu down on top of it and killed it. Super nasty! We got two salsas, a red one and a green one. The red one was pretty abysmal, the green one was decent. Not looking good. Our food came out (I got an enchilada combo) and it was very 'meh'.. not bad but definitely average or below average for the area. The final nail in the coffin was that they forgot my brother's food forever and we finally had to ask for it and then they brought it out, saying they hadn't made it yet, but the plate was not hot.. it had been forgotten. Wife and I have been coming here for about 7 years. I think I literally have tried everything on the menu. My wife likes the king fajitas the most, I'm torn between the fajita beef chili rellanos and the Pollo con crema. Its food is consistent, service has had a lot of turn around but is always decent. I was at a workshop nearby and pressured into eating here with my coworkers. Lunch specials start at $5.50 and the wide variety of menu items offers a little something for everyone. Service was excellent. Chips and warm salsa were served immediately. The food was okay. The tampiquena steak was a little chewy and overdone. The rice and beans were meh. When the boyfriend and I first moved to the area, we were elated to find tex-mex within walking distance. But we were not impressed with our 1st meal. Chips were stale and they use American cheese on the enchiladas; it lacked flavor. We hadn't intended on going back, but we noticed they sell Caldo de Res which is not always available at tex-mex places and I definitely vouch for it!
