The food at LAS PALMITAS is amazing! Mulitas and nachos are my favorite. I usually pair it with Agua de fresa de leche. My only issue is that they usually get the order wrong in some sort of way. I thought I did not judge a book by its cover but I have to say that I would have never thought of stopping in if it were not for its proximity to work.The place is literally a whole in the wall, in a run down, tiny little plaza, with a hardly there parking lot. I have to say it is now my favorite spot for lunch. The tacos are very tasty. I've had their chicken, beef and pork on freshly made tortillas. My wife and I has gone to this particular whole in the wall Mexican restaurant a few times. She loves their aguas frescas and mangonazos (ice mango with chamoy drink). The only dad thing is they have the WROST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Most of the employees do not smile nor greet you at the door. Truth be told Las Palmitas Fruit does Mexican food fairly but as I've come to find out after quite a few visits they provide some of the worst service. You can expect long wait time even if you happen to be the only customer in the store, rude looks from all the ladies that work there, and especially rude service if you speak English or have poor Spanish. Most times the staff will completely forget your order and after 20min of waiting they'll stare at you suspiciously and ask why your still there. I've lost track of how many times they've skip my order and leave it sitting on the back counter. If you happen to go there on the weekends in the morning to get menudo then don't be surprised when you see fluent Spanish speakers who ordered way after you get their orders first. Regardless of how nice you try to be to the staff you'll still be treated poorly. If you do decide to go here I would suggest that you keep it simple and order only drinks (i.e. Aguas) so that you can see that they aren't messing with your food while you crack the whip on them to hurry up. We use to come here often. And we can't say its 5 star service or the best location, we would usually do take out anyway. We haven't been in maybe a year. I went last night for some refreshing ice cream and raspado. I walked in and was so ready to walk out. the trash was over filled and 2 tables still had plates and cups from previous guest. I waited easily 10 minutes and no one cleared those tables. its sad to say but I think that will be my last visit. their chamangos and all those yummy treats are so good but I can't stand the dirty presentation. Let me start by saying their products are beyond delicious. But their customer service? HORRIBLE! I went in today for my first time on my lunch break. (What a mistake.) First of all the cashier got my order wrong and then got upset because she didn't give me what I wanted. By the way this cashiers name was ROCIO. Anyways, so aside from her getting my order wrong she's doing the most in just rolling her eyes at me. I mean this girl looked as if she was going to have a seizure how bad she was twisting her eyes. What some don't realize is that some people order through the phone so their orders will be ready before. Don't think they choose their favorite customers. I've worked in this kind of business before and there really is no favoritism. We just want the customers to be happy and keep coming back for what they love.
