On February 2020 I stopped by this location for lunch by way of drive through. I made my order that was the special beef burritos 2 for $4.00 pick them up drove away. Arrived at work to see on my receipt that I was charged regular price. When I called back all they said was my bad let me get the manager. He answered the phone only to say ok, I can offer you a free lunch two items and a drink or your money back but at this time I was at work and I work in Gardena about 11 miles away. I said ok gave him my name and said I'll pick it up on the way home. After work I arrived at Del Taco about 5:40pm walk in and explained the situation to the counter person. She walk to back for a few minutes came back and said she could find any note and said if I can come back tomorrow when the day time manager would be in. I asked her to call the manager because I was not coming back. I showed her the mistake on the receipt she looked puzzled for a moment then agreed. This location could use some customer service training. Now July 22, 2020 came in for the special 2 fish tacos for $ 4.00 ordered two orders that would be 4 tacos for $ 8.00 dollars I did order a few more things. Got my order went home once arrived looked in the bag I was missing one taco, but it get worse not only did they give me only three tacos they charged me regular price for the one at $2.89 almost $3.00 dollars for one taco. Called the manager right away but he had just went home. I drove back with the whole order returned it to them got my money back and will not go to that location again. The overnight crew (Hispanic lady with glasses) working the drive-thru today 6/26/2022 @3am was so unprofessional took forever to move the drive-thru maybe about 30 minutes already and the lady decides to take the next person's order before handing me the food that was already in the bag and ready to go. This is not considered fast food and when I went to confront her and complain about it she thinks it's OK to say "so do you think this is easy?" First off lady i used to work in fast food at a McDonald's and this is not how you run a drive-thru late at night you need to get moving and not slack off just standing there taking the next person's order before handing out the order that's already waiting at the window. Pulled off the freeway to grab a quick bite. Saw the Del Taco sign off the freeway. The first thing I notice is how incredibly clean the place is. The staff on this particular Friday evening was amazing. The drive-through is going non-stop and customers are pouring in the door (I decided to dine in). The whole entire time I was here the staff was super professional. My food was ready at the counter and the staff treated me and everyone else like we were the only ones on the restaurant. So with that said, my answer to the lunch question is usually "Del Taco or Subway." Del Taco is my go to guy for fast food. Since I'm a creature of habit, I almost always get the same shit. I'll always order a random combination of the following, these will always be legit... Spicy Chicken Burrito Del Beef Burrito Del Combo Burrito Classic Tacos Macho Nachos French Fries and my favorite thing to get here - Chili Cheese Fries with some Del Scorcho hot sauce. The food was ok but I got the worst case of food poisoning. I ate 3 tacos from there and the next day I had diarrhea, fatigue, abdominal cramps, back and leg pain. It was the worst. There were only two young kids working on the inside and they were understaffed so they closed the inside early and people were upset about that because the drive through line was so long. The girl let me in but she told me to not let anyone else in because they were understaffed yet she posted no signs on the door to alert customers of this. She also said she was getting ready to leave and was going to leave one employee there by himself. I think the meat was bad and had been sitting out for a while. The food poisoning I experienced was the worst ever. I have never felt sick like that my life. Still not able to really eat solids and my stomach is still grumbling a bit.
