Great to have Waba grill back in No. Long Beach! It's improved since the last run on this corner. I had the teriyaki beef over veggies, side of edamame kimchi, and some lettuce I assume was a very small salad. The flavor was good and the price was fine between $15 for the plates. The bowls are about $10. Honestly I would like more of a portion, but everyone is charging more. I am happy to have them back. Ordered online and the order was correct. They provided the sides of waba sauce,. Staff friendly and the place is clean. read more

Giving this a 4 stars because the lady at drive thru was very nice and helpful. Per the receipt received her name was Daniel A.I went for lunch around 1:29pm. I placed my ordered and as I was pulling up to the window I noticed a sign for a spicy sauce. So I I asked her about it, she mentioned it was for a chicken bowl they have but offered me some to try it . The sauce was not spicy at all, but it does taste good. Anyway, they I showed her a coupon I had and she was more than willing to accept it. (Via yelp) even though she was not too familiar with the yelp coupon. Further more it was nice to see customer service as it should be instead of people in drive thrus being in bad mood and hating their jobs. Making you uncomfortable to even ask certain questions about their menu. read more

I came to this location a couple of days ago I been coming here lately for my lunch there's always 2 man 1 girl this short man I think his name is David always looking at me saying stuff I really don't appreciate that I feel Really disgusting by him i really don't know why he feels like getting can do that to woman that goes here another lady came while I was waiting for my food and he started doing the same thing with the guy in the kitchen like really it's disrespectful coming from the manager I will never come around this store again I hope there's a action on thiss read more

So unprofessional starting with management I quit a week ago because Angie always prefers to give the hours to her own family members that work here even tho they go always late do what they want I just to wait to go in a hour or 30 mins due to her own people didn't care about me waiting and losing my time I was always on time doing my job I missed 2 days because my child was very sick she just left me with 2 days with only 6 hours her brother that supposedly got sick left 2 times first time for a month second time a week and yeah there was me to cover when she needed help working for 6 hours and no break just 2 people working the whole time got my 10 mins break almost when my shift almost finish and the other employee always late because he was coming from the other Waba he works he was scheduled to start at 2pm he always showing up at 3:39 or 4 or even when he was off but never he got I trouble he always said oh Angie never tells me anything and we didn't have no ac we was in the hottest workplace for over 6 months saying they didn't wanna fix it because it's to much money and still not working they just out a small ac that norm don't even work she always had a problem with me before the manager from that store got fire for harassing girls at work manager Deybi always told me she didn't wanna give me hours then Angie said Deybi didn't want to however she don't know how to treat her employees she always be text me or call me if anything we do and there's no answer from her the girl that left before me called me crying for the way she spoke to her she left because of her she has her brother and Nephew working from 9am to 9.30 pm with no break I even have pictures that I took giving them extra work just because she don't want us to have hours no one does anything she says that the owner knows everything that he don't wanna get involved with us that she takes care of everything for him but all she does is have problems with everyone hope someone does something about her unprofessional self but hopefully they see how she is and how her family members don't do anything and they be on the phone all the time .......like really why do employees always quitting here I don't think so many employees doing wrong gotta check management and see what they doing wrong in this case she always says one thing and another when I apply I especially said I'm looking for opening she said yeah we have open that position but you have to close one day then she said it was 2 days mandatory like why lie the. She wanna give us whatever she wants read more

This location is so disappointing. And you wonder why there's no decent options in the area. If you're going to work in customer service, I believe your attitude is everything! You got cashiers in their feelings and when you ask questions about their product there's an unnecessary attitude that follows behind it! I ordered the Tofu Veggie Bowl, the TOFU WAS COLD!!! And when I tried to explain to the cashier that it was cold she stated "that's how we serve it". Not worth my energy or money! Spend your money else where! read more

Miss Manager please learn some people skills Called in to get a refund on a chicken plate that I bought with avocado I got home avocado was black chicken was not cooked through. WaBa Grill - Horrible service. Disgusting food - Fast Food Near Me - Long Beach, California

When I first learned of Waba grill coming to North Long Beach I thought it would be a great addition to a part of town with a lack of big business(except fast food) . I had never had Waba Grill before and my first impressions were pretty good . I ordered the half and half bowl with veggies with no rice . The bowl comes with chicken and beef over broccoli and cabbage . The meat was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were very fresh . The customer service was excellent upon entering the restaurant and the cashier helped me to pick out what I wanted . Overall great first experience here at this new Waba Grill . read more

Sorry ... But the food just wasn't very good. I had the combo bowl , steak was terrible , rice seemed undercooked , veggies were too. I expected better . read more

I love coming to this waBa grill, Its always nice and clean they help ypu right away and the food is awesome!!! Love this place come here like once a week. And it's healthy too! read more

I came here on Thursday on the 25th around 740pm I went through the drive through and the lady that helped me out didn't seem happy she was rude towards me by basically giving an impression that she didn't want me to order and she seemed stressed out and annoyed that I was just another customer. If I was management at waba grill I wouldn't put her to interact with customers she should be making chicken in the back or something hidden far far away from people she's could of at least smiled and prevented this but buisness is buisness and I felt some kinda way that I shouldn't have felt besides the food it was good no problems there just with the customer service I would search for another waba location before coming here . read more

At first I used to think service is very slow but it's actually not, they are just understaffed. They have one poor girl working the front, register & drive thru & maybe 1 cook in the back. Remind you this is lunch time! Management needs to get it together! The food is great but these guys need help! 3 months later & still only 1 employee in the counter & 1 cook in the back.. no wonder the drive thru is a 20 minute wait read more

Hands down my favorite! Food is so good, fresh and healthy! Glad they have moved to the neighbor. A welcomed change from the typical fast food restaurant. Chicken and brown rice with green onions, yum! Can't go wrong with the salmon either read more

Then she said here 2 cups oh here 2 lids then oh 2 straws for everything instead of putting it all in one bag and saying here your order they were handing me everything seperat like really... miso soup not good no flavor half a tiny piece of tofu.. the #1 was good nothing special just the service was unbelievable... read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time the other day. I was waited on by a Nice and polite young lady named Christina. This Waba Grill is close to my house so I come here out of convenience. The food was average, nothing to write home about. I honestly like Flame Broiler a little better for their taste. Maybe it's just me though. read more

I received a very inaccurate amount of rice on my bowl. I brought it up to the management and they said corporate was on their case about portion control. I understand that part but In my bowl there were parts that had about 1/4 inch height to 1/2 inch high brown rice. That was acknowledged by the manager 2-3 times that the rice portion was to small. In her defense she did offer to give me more rice, instead of just bringing it. Not sure how people will continue to eat at a waba with the small portions your offering especially when the staff acknowledges the issue but is not proactive in resolving it NEVER COMING BACK ! read more

I go to plenty of waba grills all over la . The one thing I HATE is when they serve chicken that doesn't even seem to be grilled. A few scorch marks and that's it. It's a fckin joke. The name is Waba GRILL. Grill the damn chicken! In all the pictures the chicken is perfectly seared. Then they serve me a bowl that has NO grill texture or flavor. Gtfo. Never going to this location again. The bellflower location gets it right. Very disappointed. for $7 we all know they're serving dark meat. Grill that $hit right ! How hard is that??....no wonder they were empty at lunch time. People must have caught on that it's a subpar location. Step up or go under read more

DONT EAT HERE! I FOUND A FLY IN MY SALAD !!! This is sooooooooooo disgusting I'm appalled !!!! I ordered the tofu salad like seriously how can u go wrong with a salad?????? So I'm halfway done with my salad and I find a fly in it!!!! I drive to the restaurant and speak to the manager. I found a bee or fly in my salad he pokes at it and says it's not a bee. I'm like what does it matter what it is fly or bee I didn't order creatures in my food! On top of that he was hesitant to offer me my refund I had to ask for it. Horrible I got food poisoning from there old white rice I would recommend to eat anywhere else

Couple days ago I stopped by to get a chicken bowl but I always get veggies on the side on a small cup that costs about a dollar and that's how I placed my order. But when I was ready to pay, the cashier said it was gonna be about $5 extra for a side of vegetables. I explained her that in every location of WaBa I always pay the same price because I go once or twice a week. Her answer was that "this location is different". That is wrong and no true (even though it's independently owned they should follow prices and policies in all the stores) she even call the cook and the guy was being not too nice to me telling me to go to other location and that I was lying in order to pay less because they said the screen or POS didn't show other options besides the $5 vegetable plate. They pretty much ruin your lunch because they argue with customers instead of finding options or solutions to serve customers politely and cordially. As customers you don't feel invited to come back and spend your money if they are present. BAD SERVICE read more
