The food was such a hit and was tasty after being left out for 4 hours during the party. Everyone asked me where I got the food and lots of people wanted to take left overs home. I saved some left overs for me too and it tasted great the next day! I came a few days prior to try the food. The restaurant has a cute homey old school Chinese restaurant style. I think I'll be skipping that add on bc they never seem to include it anymore. Hence the 4/5 stars.

My wife and I recently had a great experience at the Pick Up Stix in Lakewood, and we wanted to take a moment to share it. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls, Kung Pao tofu, and cream cheese wontons (which my wife really enjoyed). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely a level above what you'd expect from typical fast casual spots. Honestly, we both prefer this place over Panda Express -- the food simply tastes better, and the ingredients feel higher quality. It's our go-to now. What really made our visit stand out, though, was the outstanding service. We want to give a special shoutout to David, who was our cashier and also brought the food to our table. He had incredible manners, was thorough in explaining the menu, and used very polite and respectful language throughout our visit. His customer service was exceptional -- the kind that really sticks with you. More fast casual restaurants could benefit from having someone like David on their team. The steak in some dishes is "grass-fed." That's a good thing. The quality of the beef, however, is low. You need shark teeth to bite into the beef. Tough, sinewy, sometimes inedible. Not sure why this chain doesn't up its game. Charge a little more but use beef that can be chewed and digested. Sad, cause the flavors are good here but like I say, it's a Battle Royale to swallow this beef without choking to death. Normally I like the Lakewood location, but had a truly awful experience the last time I went. They were having some sort of two for one chicken dish special and it was really crowded. They ran out of brown rice, and it took 1/2 hour for the food to be ready (seriously, I timed it). They also messed up the order when it arrived and had to re-do it. The staff were all very nice though. I'm kind of leery about going there again, it was that bad. read more

I can't stand this place. I always try to give it another chance, but it is WAY too expensive for really low quality chinese food. Their dishes are greasy, salty, and not flavorful in any way. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants good chinese food, or anyone living near here....there are much better options close by. read more

Food came out fast, hot, and exactly how we ordered it. Mild was the perfect call, flavor without the regret. But honestly the food is only half the review, because plenty of places sell good chicken. Not every place has an Amanda. If you're new here and you see her at the register, you're in good hands.
