Pretty good food for decent price ! Only thing is parking is over crowded place tends to lack maintenance because of how busy it gets. And you can be waiting 20-30 mins for your order. I loved the "tres marias" but it was a lot to digest. It tastes great, but I will not order this again because I believe it has one day's worth of your maximum calorie intake. I've been to this place with my Mexican friend. He knew this place since a long time and so he helped me pick all the best foods from here. I loved the Diablito drink! It was amazing! I stopped by this location because I was craving a good mangoneada, and I heard Las Palmitas was a good place to try. After taking the first bite, I realized that the mangos were extremely hard, which made them inedible (such a bummer). The way they treat their customers is awful and their lack of interest to resolve an issue is enough for me to never step foot into this place again. I go in with the expectation of getting some delicious Mexican treats and instead get a mouthful from the manager when I asked if I could get extra fruit (WHICH I WAS GOING TO PAY FOR) for my chamango. Small area for sit downs ...we got lucky we got a spot. I read the reviews that said the service sucked but I chose to ignore that thinking maybe they were exaggerating. Well my brother and sister ordered they got their food within 20 min. The second order well we never got it ! We had to complain after waiting 40 min to 1hr. This is easily one of my favorite spots whenever i'm craving some Mexican food. I live pretty close by, about a 3-5 minute drive. This is dangerous because there's not a day that i'm not craving their nachos or tacos. I also love the fact that their tacos are not only a dollar on Tuesdays, but everyday! I've had the chicken and al pastor nachos as well as the carne asada and chicken tacos. All very flavorful & delicious. Don't even get me started on their chamangos! So refreshing on a hot day. Ok so ... I'm really excited about this place ... but I have mixed feelings about it. 1. The employee's/service = eehhh not good not bad I would phrase it as blah 2. It takes a long time to get your food so I would suggest you phone in your order if you are in a rush. 3. The food ... The tacos are great ..really good stuff ..the tortillas are really good. Ive had the asada and the pastor ones..really good. The asada burritos in green sauce also really good. The pastor burrito in red sauce not so much.( especailly since I didnt ask for red sauce more on that later) The red sauce in my opinion isnt really tasty it has this like sweet after taste not a fan. The esquite OMG where has this been all my life. My husband really liked his torta de milanesa(minus the avocado that he didnt ask for more on that later) and last but not least people the horchata .. the horchata is freaken awesome! so good none of this crap out of a machine its the real deal. I'd go back just for that! 4.. ok so here is my real and only problem with this place ... I ordered my pastor burrito in green sauce and my husband ordered his torta with no avacado..and after waiting forever for our food and finally getting home .. BAM there it is red sauce and avacado.. that kind of stuff really bothers me ..simple request just write it down/read it. But I digress I'll go back anyway and just give them an extra reminder. Food is good but they have TERRIBLE customer service. They're always getting my order wrong and usually they're good about just fixing it and moving on except for today. I ordered a torta de PAVO and they obviously heard me wrong and put a torta de asada. When I came to pick up my food and I told them what I ordered and my # they said that's obviously not my # because that # is a torta de asada not pavo. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Lol I told the girl that I know what I ordered. She started asking the rest of the girls there and they really tried arguing with me saying that I ordered asada. I DON'T EVEN EAT ASADA! I KNOW what I ordered. They obviously heard me wrong and instead of fixing it, they try to argue?! What kind of customer service is this? FIX IT. Teach these women how to treat customers! They ruin everything about this place. Never going back and I've been coming here for years. And after reading the reviews, this is obviously an ongoing issue with this place. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the nachos and the chamango i ordered (not pictured) was excellent, BUT the service could have been a lot better. The girl forgot to give me my drink & when I asked her if it was almost ready she rolled her eyes & went to talk to one of the other girls & then gave me my drink. I'm giving them 1 stars because of the attitude my sister and I received by 2 ladies who work here. I hear the food is good. It's my first time here. I got tacos and a chocomil and the chocomil was so good, but the attitude from these two ruined everything. One of the girls who took my sisters order asked if she wanted it together. My sister said yes that shed pay for it all but wanted her food and my food in different plates as she was going to work and I was coming home. One of the girls told the cashier that my sister had said she wanted it separate. The cashier than said that it was my sister's fault she got confused. That she asked if she wanted together and my sister wasn't clear. My sister than said, can't you verbally tell them you want the food separate. The girl than says yeah but didn't you see I just got in trouble because of it. Really ladies. On top of that they still put her food with mine so we're sitting at my sister's job parking lot separating the food. They didn't even say good morning to us, nothing. It felt like we were inconveniencing them. But as soon as a man walked in they were both super friendly and smiling. Another time my sis went, one of the girls asked her to wait. My sister said ok and stood there waiting. The whole time one of the girls was just walking up and down for about 3 to 4 mins. My sister than just stared at the girl and it's when the girl asked if she needed help. I don't care how good the food is, the service has A LOT to say. They need to fix their attitude or get rid of them. From the other reviews, I see they've done this to other people. Why allow anyone to treat your customers like shit. They need a quick lesson on how to be polite and approachable. If you don't mind the attitude and just care about the food, this is your place. I care for both and it's why I'm venting lol. Honestly I ended up giving my food to my mom. I lost my appetite lol. I will probably go again and if I get attitude or my sister does, i will say something and ask to speak to their manager and if the manager gives me attitude I will ask to speak to the owner. Reasonably priced food that taste good.. It's def a hole in the wall so not much customer service but I feel like everyone is friendly. The food at LAS PALMITAS is amazing! Mulitas and nachos are my favorite. I usually pair it with Agua de fresa de leche. My only issue is that they usually get the order wrong in some sort of way. Best chamango and tikidiablo around. Foods good too. The reason for 2 stars is the attitude I get from a few of the girls when I can't speak Spanish. The go from happy welcoming to pissed attirude in under a second when I reply in English. This has happened more than once. The last time they made me wait while they served other customers who ordered after me. I eventually had to ask again and she finally, grudgingly made my Chamango 30 minutes after my order was placed. Not sure I'll be back. Too bad because I was a loyal, consistent customer. read more
