Upon entering the store, you're greeted by a massive pile of carrots, celery, and a strong vegetable scent. I saw that the employees were fresh blending and juicing every order. I instantly knew I had to try this place out. They had a variety of items ranging from green juices to smoothies. They also had a few cold dishes like chicken/tuna salads. I ordered a kiwi berry smoothie & it was really delicious. It wasn't too sweet & had the right amount of tartness. Overall, I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area again! 10/10!

The cashier didn't greet me or acknowledge me, so I had to ask, "Do I order with you?" She simply replied, "Yes." I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on squaw bread, but she looked confused and asked me to repeat myself. I pointed to the picture on the counter that clearly showed the sandwich on squaw bread. She then told me that it was something the owner was going to implement. That left me wondering why it's being advertised if it's not actually available. It doesn't make sense to display menu items that customers can't order. The only reason I tried this place was because I saw a glowing review on TikTok and wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately, my first impression was far from what I expected, and I don't plan on returning.

But I decided to continue, hoping and praying that they disinfected and sanitize the knife and the cutting board! This just reminded me that cooking and preparing your own food at home is probably the most safest way to stay free of contamination and lack of cleanness. As for the customer service it was who was decent. Will I try it an again, as for now that's a no!

Today I tried the Chico Cubano bowl with pulled pork, beans, plantains, and I chose greens and white rice as my bases. I couldn't believe that yet again Chinollo packed so much flavor into this bowl!!!! WOW! The pork was succulent and tender with great seasoning, the plantains were the perfect sweet complement - excellent texture to the plantains. The rice is sticky and perfectly cooked and the beans were delicious. The picked red onions provided the perfect amount of acidity. The only thing - I would not recommend the greens with this bowl since the beans kinda take over the base. But hey, it was still delicious, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . I did learn you want to order ahead of time at lunch. That way it's ready when you get there. I did have to wait, but only for about 10 minutes after I placed my order on the kiosk. Overall, I don't think I liked how I built the bowl so I'd try again to see if it was just me or the ingredients.

I can't speak to the tacos sold at a place that does drinks as I haven't tried them, but I can say the following: Ambiance (3/5): Small but cute, they don't skimp on AC even as it's a sunny little shop. Great for studying if you're able to nab a seat; they have three tables that seat 4 (maybe 5 if you bunch up on the bench). The natural lighting makes it pretty nice to so some work in there. They have an extension cord with multiple outlets tucked in the corner under the corner table. Service (4/5): Server was friendly and quick. I'm glad he asked if regular milk was okay because it reminded me that it's not for my husband. It's a small thing but it's appreciated! I also loved the little surprise of getting some extra smoothie in a small cup, perfect for my daughter. Why can't other shops be like this? Appreciate it! Drink (4/5): The strawberry banana smoothies tasted fresh. Real fruit bits and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. My husband and I both noted that it had great flavor. My only gripe was that it was still a bit icy; it was hard at times sucking the smoothie out of the boba straw we used. If it were blended fully and smoothly, I would say it would be near perfect. Would we come back? Based on this experience, if we need a quick stop for a drink before the freeway, this makes for a good stop. I wouldn't mind trying out one of their match drinks next time (those look pretty good)!

Occasionally the granola doesn't taste as fresh (or maybe they switch to a different kind), and since it's such a big part of the bowl, it noticeably affects the overall flavor and texture.
