Went for the first time. Disappointed that we didn't get chips and salsa as a start. Decided to try the house margarita for happy hour, it was ok. I had the enchiladas verde and it was good. I do not know where to start. Never had we been here before, wanted to try because they have outdoor seating. First off, we were outside, with a group of guys who said the f--- word, every other word, grunted and groaned at every female walking by, talked about the filth he does on work trips etc. I asked the waiter to turn up the music to drown them out. He did not. My children were hearing it all, so I plugged in headphones to let them watch a show on our phones, which I have never done in my life, it was that bad. It took 15 minutes to order food, and my drink took 20 minutes to get. We were one table of only 4 groups there. The margarita de la casa was one of the worst I have ever had. My kids asked for jalepeno's on their nacho's, none. For $8 for some chips, it should be correct, right? My red enchilada sauce was so bland, and I make my own from scratch weekly, so I know how it should taste, and the enchilada's were hard, to cut! Will try it again to see if the wait improves Went back another Time for lunch and the wait was much improved. The food is good but prices should be better. Very disappointing. This area needs a real restaurant, but this isn't it. I don't know who started the complimentary chips and salsa, but it has become somewhat of a staple of Mexican restaurants. I don't know why this place wants to buck the trend. I understand why the higher end restaurants do not serve them. They want you to try the special sauces or the food is so good it would be a waste to fill up on free chips. I also would not expect chips and salsa from a taco truck - too much overhead. Las Margs is a crossover. High end prices for taco truck quality food. I tried the Mole: tender chicken breast simmered in a rich sauce of chile peppers, chocolate and peanuts. The menu makes it sound wonderful and worth the $14. The scoop of shredded chicken covered in brown sauce was less appealing. The manager? owner? came by and I suggested that shredded chicken covered in brown sauce should not be so prominently featured on the menu. What I expected was an apology and maybe take it off the bill if there really should have been chicken breasts involved and the cook just made a mistake. He said if I didn't like shredded chicken that he would personally grill a chicken breast for me. What? Where are the tender chicken breasts simmered in the rich sauce? Are they only in the menu writer's imagination? So anyway, I have a day old chicken breast covered in brown sauce in a to go container in the fridge if anyone would like to try Las Margs for themselves. I'm sure it is just as wonderful as the menu writer imagined. read more

This business has been here for a while now and they still don't seem to have the hang of it. Very slow service with servers who looked shocked when people get frustrated and leave due to slow time to be greeted, order, and receive there food. I ordered Togo and was quoted 10 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes after I ordered and they still hadn't started it which they tried to hide from me without thinking I understood the conversation going on in the kitchen. They need a management team with experience who make sure things are being handled in an appropriate time frame with servers who care to see the business succeed. read more

Don't listen to these negative yelpers! Las Margs was hands down THE most authentic Mexican food since we've moved to Denver! We are from Houston, Texas so we are spoiled with good food. Will be happily supporting this family business often! The queso was amazing, perfect spice level, and the enchilada sauce very cumin-y and authentic. Soooo tasty. Nice to have a sit down location in Reunion but we have to use that excuse to want to come here. The food is barely average so nothing to get a craving for. What really makes average a problem is the cost. Contrary to other Mexican establishments, chips and salsa are at a cost. We usually go with the chips and queso (since we are paying) but it is basically Velveeta. I think that exemplifies the problem. Not a bad place, especially if you go to drink margaritas, but the value and/or wow factor is really low. Great food and great service and management. There was a mix up in the kitchen and took a while longer for meal to come out. They took care of us that night. Food is spicy and good and rellano was awesome. Will be back again. Sat at the bar that night and the bartender and owner kept checking on us even after the kitchen mix up. I really want to like this place and for it to do well since restaurant choices are so limited in this area, but the food wasn't all that great and it was pretty expensive. $13 for two small cheese enchiladas and a small serving of rice and beans. Corn tortillas weren't great, not sure if they were stale or just not very good. We ordered chips and guac for $9.50 (since there were no complimentary chips and salsa), and the guac was terrible, unfortunately. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and they did a really nice job with the decor. The carnitas and quesadillas were decent too. Will probably give it another try in a month or two in case some of the issues have to do with new restaurant kinks that need to be worked out. I hope the prices go down though. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. The only thing authentic in this place is the dishwasher. Food was bland. Green chili didn't have any flavor. House margarita tasted like premix watered down. I had the asada burrito which was very dry. I think they were afraid to smother it. They do not offer complimentary chips and salsa so we bought the chips and queso only to learn you have to pay for extra chips. I wouldn't mind the higher price as I know the rent may be high but make the food worth it. We sat in a party of 4 and all 4 entrees came out at different times. I was done before our last person received his meal. Such a shame the area really needs a great restaurant Unfortunately in my opinion this is not it. Just got back from our first visit to Las Margs. The food was excellent and abundant. I had the Chimi and my husband had the Steak Azteca. The Chimi was huge and I had to bring about half of it home. The steak was tender and tasty. Both were fabulous and the service was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. I also had the Grand Margarita which was delicious. Zach and his wife (?) are very friendly and welcoming. We live in Reunion and have been waiting for a decent sit down non-chain restaurant and this is it (there are only 2 of these and they own them both) and was worth waiting for. The menu is extensive for Mexican and yes, you pay for the chips and salsa but they are only $3.75 and come with 3 good salsas, so, worth it! You want a better sit down restaurant, you pay a little more. But, the prices are not out of line and the portions are big. We highly recommend and will be back. read more

I left the same review elsewhere. I was really disappointed! We went in to place a pick up order. Two entrees and a side of chips with a trio of salsas. After about 15 minutes I was given my ticket for my order and I paid. Got out my phone to kill time. I shouldn't have. If I hadn't I would have noticed that it was a full 20 minutes later before the waitress came back and asked me for my order ticket to give to the kitchen. 15 minutes later I noticed a couple leaving who had come in to eat after I had arrived. I approached the hostess and asked where my food was and she said she'd check. It took 10 more minutes to receive my order. When I got home is when I really decided I would never return. My husband's dinner plate had a small enchilada and about a quarter cup of beans and rice. The trio of salsas came in plastic cups that were 2 oz or less. I wouldn't even call them salsa. They were more like someone opened cans of enchilada sauce from a grocery store. Not good food. I wouldn't recommend this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is for the friendly staff. read more

We tried this new little Mexican place in the neighborhood this evening for an early dinner. I had the cheese enchiladas (13 dollars) and my husband had 3 different tacos (3.75 X2 and 4.00 for 1) and we got a been and cheese burrito (5.00) for the kiddo. Total cost was 32.23 with tax (we all had water). I thought this was a little pricey for Mexican food that was good but not anything I fell in love with. Also the portions were small in my opinion. The burrito didn't come with any sides or toppings. The tacos were small. The enchilada plate was at least big enough to get full and did come with beans and rice. I think It would be a big improvement to serve complimentary chips and salsa, currently if you want them it's around 5 dollars. The service was good. Our server was friendly and prompt- no complaints at all there. The food itself was mediocre. One thing I really liked was that they put the bottle of water on each table so you can refill your own glass. I love when restaurants do that, and I don't have to wait for more drink. I am also very happy reunion has a new place to eat because we are in desperate need of non fast food options. I will go back in the future because it's convenient and decent food. read more

The only reason o give it 4 stars is because there is no patio (and my favorite place to drink margaritas and eat Mexican food is on a nice patio!). So we went to the new one in Northern Commerce City. I have to say after reading the negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great, food was good, wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait at all for anything. I think what people fail to understand with any new dining establishment in this area, people will immediately go in droves. Most new restaurants in this area have new staff and are initially not prepared for the droves of people the first few weeks. It's kinda like when you first started a new job. There is a huge learning curve! Please give these guys a chance to iron out the wrinkles! read more

Delicious restaurant that just opened up in Reunion. They have a location in Denver already that's been doing great and this place is on track to do just the same it looks like. We got take out but drank a margarita while we waited and talked with the awesome staff. Loved the authentic street tacos, and the salsa was perfectly spicy!! The only other place near us that has quesadillas is Taco Bell so I am so happy they finally brought in a quality Mexican restaurant. Delicious margarita too, & they have happy hour all day Monday!
