The restaurant is beautiful and spacious. Seems very clean and has ample seating. Service was good, but food was just ok. My kids enjoyed their tacos and the rice. My tamales platter were smothered in green chile, which was not my favorite. I would've much preferred the tamales without the chile on top. And the beans and rice also seemed a little dry. The tacos al carbon had decent flavor but wasn't good enough to want to order again. We enjoyed the space, but the food was lacking. I doubt that we would return. read more

El Jardin is very good. Most authentic Mexican I've had in the Denver area. Chip and salsa off the bat, salsa was amazing. Flavorful with decent heat but not overwhelming. Chips were fresh and crisp with a good amount of salt. I ordered the beef/chicken fajitas and the hot the spot for sure. Even after eating two bowls of chips (cuz why not?!?) I still managed to policy off most of my fajitas since they were so good. I'm from So CA and we have great Mexican food everywhere, El Jardin is on par with the best Mexican restaurants in my home area. We were seated quickly and our server took drinks while we reviewed the good sized menu. Drinks came, we ordered right away and had our food within 13-14 minutes. The place is actually huge. We walked in and thought the bar area and front seating section was decent but she took us towards the back where there was almost a whole other restaurant. We had no idea where to eat so we chose this one because it was close by. It was a little awkward finding the front entrance, but once we were in we were greeted pleasantly. Our server was prompt and answered all of our questions. He suggested the Steak Picado so we went with it. We shared it -- good decision given we weren't ravenous. Stopped into El Jardin looking for some good, not fancy, Mexican food. And we found it! Very friendly host greeted us and seated us immediately, even though the parking lot was full. I had the small combination of cheese enchilada, bean tostado, then requested a side of beans instead of the taco that normally comes with it. Husband had the Santa Fe Chicken Skillet -- who declared it should be illegal it was so good. Ate every bite of it. Definitely will be returning to try some of their other offerings. read more

This is out of our way, but we make a trip to come here every so often. We love the ambiance of thelis place it is home and spacious doesn't feel like you are sitting right in top of the next table. Service is always great from when you walk in to the servers. The food let's just say I haven't had anything I haven't loved. One of my guests always gets a stuffed sopapilla with pulled pork which is smoked she loves it, my other guest goes for a chicken burrito he loves them so much sometimes he orders 2, I have had the pork carnitas burrito, the supreme burrito, and I have had my all-time favorite bacon breakfast burrito. The salsa and chips are always great I feel the chips are always fresh. Strawberry margaritas are a go to for me. We will be back time and time again as long as you keep up the great work. read more

Overall good Mexican food. Everything was cooked well with fairly good flavor. Green Chile was a little bland. Pork Carnitas tasted more like BBQ than Mexican style. It was good and tender but tasted more like it was from a BBQ restaurant. Sopapilla sundae was a great dessert. Some of the best sopapillas around. They could use better quality ice cream. I have to start by saying we used to absolutely love the food at El Jardin, it has been our favorite restaurant since moving to Colorado in 2020. We went for Taco Tuesday and were very surprised that the menu had changed, unfortunately not in a good way. Now the tacos on Taco Tuesday are tacos ala king! Soft corn tacos with either ground beef or pulled chicken smothered in sauce! The waitress said the plates were dangerously hot to touch, but they were not even warm to touch, neither were the tacos! We were also shocked that arriving around 5:40pm the restaurant was not busy at all! The service was great as always but the food is now only mediocre! We will try again but we definitely will not order the taco aka king! I just hope when we return the food is much better than this visit. read more

We have been back multiple times. Every experience has been stellar because this family enjoys what they do. They consistently serve freshly prepared food with generous portions, the servers are happy, and clearly they have tons of regulars. She took out orders and maybe 15 minutes later we had our food. I opted for the Burrito Supreme. It was good. The ground beef was seasoned well, I may ask them to substitute it next time for the asada instead. I've been spoiled by better burrito meats like carne asada, barbacoa, etc. My sister decided on the Chile Fries. They were great! Dad went with the Battered Chile Relleno. He loved it and said that El Jardin was his new favorite spot. Steak was cooked to my liking and I thought was tasty! I got two sides and I chose fries for both. Fries were crispy and seasoned well! Friday at noon for lunch. Parking was easy to find. Business definitely picked up more while we were there. A very big restaurant, looked like plenty of seating! Clean and easy to navigate through the dining area. Noise level was very tolerable as far as we could all hear each other talking, despite the room being full. I ordered the battered chile relleno with hot green chili and a house margarita. The food came out in a very reasonable time and was piping hot! I couldn't tell much texture on the deep fried batter due to the amount of green chili, but I won't complain about that one bit! A very delicious meal and super friendly staff. This is my ultimate #1 favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver metro area. They are a very nice, fun staff that runs a gorgeous Mexican restaurant. The food is the best in the west here. Portion size is double to share family style. I ordered the Pina Colada with Pablo's enchiladas and that's what I get every time I come here. The fajitas were at least a pound deep with grilled bell pepper and onions. A side of guac and sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes with tortillas. Just delicious and hands down to Manuala out fabulous waitress for making this dinner mentionable and outstanding tonight. read more
