Dos Gringos is exactly what it sounds like, two gringos who took something as rich, soulful, and sacred as Mexican food and drained it of all its flavor, culture, and dignity. This is gentrified nonsense at its peak, watered-down recipes, dry tortillas, bland meat, and a price tag that makes you wonder if you accidentally walked into a 5-star restaurant, except the food tastes like it was cooked in a dorm microwave using ingredients from the bargain bin. You can taste the cheapness. The salsas are basically tomato water. The portion sizes are a robbery, $14 for what amounts to a sad, overhyped taco filled with meat that clearly wasn't marinated or seasoned. It's clear there's no love in what they do and this is just a cash grab hiding behind a trendy food truck aesthetic and a name that feels more like a parody than an homage. We are extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism and complete lack of accountability from Dos Gringos. Months ago, we contracted them for a tenant appreciation event at our property. A signed agreement was in place, and just last week, they confirmed via email that everything was still on track. Less than 24 hours before the event, we received a one-line email: "Hello, We need to cancel our event, sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Jesse" That was it. No explanation. No apology. No attempt to help us find a solution. Since then, we've tried calling every number listed--all mailboxes are full--and they have not responded to any of our emails. This is, without question, the most unprofessional experience we've had with any food truck vendor. After looking through other reviews, it's clear this isn't an isolated incident. It appears they have a pattern of canceling last-minute to take on more lucrative events. Our entire event is now canceled. We're left with nothing but frustrated tenants and a generic, dismissive email from Dos Gringos. If you're planning an event and need reliability, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Dos Gringos has been on my radar for a hot minute. So needless to say when I saw them parked at the Brighton Chile Festival - I knew what I was having for lunch! PRO: Wonderful sounding taco creations including Carne Asada, Green Chile Pork, Chipolte Chicken, Crispy Fish, and Beef Barbacoa. CON: They were out of both the Carne Asada and Green Chile Pork - the two tacos my fellow diner and I were interested in noshing on. Boo! Apparently they ARE that good! PRO: Portions are LARGE! CON: None! My hungry belly was beyond excited to devour the heaping pile of toppings/fillings on each of our tacos. PRO: They offer various options for tacos including mix 'n match options. The more you buy, you save a bit too! CON: No deals for two tacos. Bummer when they're so large! My experience with Dos Gringos was def "A-OK." Dos Gringos was our 2nd stop and did not disappoint! Each street taco was filled to the brim with all the fixin's, featured all fresh ingredients (and perfectly seasoned meats!), was gorgeous in presentation and tasted delicious! We opted to try the 3 tacos for $10, which was perfect in size and oh, so good! The carnita's taco - being my favorite! The menu also features Tortas, which really gives you bang for your buck! Everything was reasonably priced and came out pretty quickly! Probably the best chicken burrito I have had in Denver and I am a burrito SNOB! The burrito is filled with Mexican rice, black beans, chicken (or whatever meat you choose), crema, lettuce, cheese and pico... it is literally an explosion of amazing flavors in your mouth and HUGE (think Chipotle size). The guys working the truck are always nice, organized and get the job done correctly. Sometimes we even look up where the food truck is going to be so we can pay them a visit. The guys were on time, professional, friendly, fun and most importantly they cooked up some AMAZING Mexican food for our guests. Our friends and family all raved about the experience. If you're willing to pay top dollar for mediocre food and awful customer service this is the truck for you. These guys came to my place of employment for for an event. They were late and took almost 45 minuets to set up. Once they were there, they acted as if they didn't want to be there. They packed up early and we asked them to stay longer and were willing to pay them extra for their time. Unwilling to do so. On to the food. I ordered a carnitas burrito, the meat was really fatty. I've noticed a trend where simple, authentic Mexican street tacos are being flipped into pizzazz, appealing, work of art. I got excited when their spicy yum-yum sauce was actually a Chipotle sauce drizzled on top of most of their tacos, bowls and burritos! I originally ordered their Gringo Bowl, which had all the standard ingredients that make the bowl great. I, however, was recommended the last bowl on their list that had their signatory Chipotle Sauce:: the Moby Dick Bowl for $11.00 which was incredible!! I did order extra drizzle, as I can't get enough of that! We also got a side of the Jalapeno Poppers for $7.00 which, you guessed it: Served with CHIPOTLE SAUCE!! DING, DING, DING. Dos Gringos came out tonight to my neighborhood for Food Truck Friday, I am already looking forward to them coming back. Their fish tacos are incredible. I grew up on the east coast and have eaten my weight (and some) in fish tacos. The ones from Dos Gringos are definitely top 3 of all time. I don't know what is in the chipotle sauce, but it was the perfect amount of heat to go with the tang of the slaw. Bravo Dos Gringos - you've won the fish taco game. read more

The food is FANASTIC and a bit less pricey compared to similar food trucks. I didn't find the service to be especially fantastic; the guy who took my order seemed very distracted and didn't listen when I asked for no pico de gallo. I ended up eating my tacos with the pico that was erroneously on my order but enjoyed the tacos in spite of it. That's how you know the food was very good! I hate onions. read more

These guys just catered our B-Day party. Here's my take. Of ALL the food trucks I contacted they were the ONLY one who consistently responded and actually answered questions. They showed up on time and were ready when we expected it. I had multiple guests remark about how good the food was. Several of the guys tried every single taco and said they were all delicious. We booked Dos Gringos for a graduation party in May at our Littleton at our home for over 200 guests. We had shopped a few trucks and not only were they the most reasonably priced, but they were great to work with. They had no problem working with a range of guests as we didn't know if we'd have 125 or 200. I was looking forward to Dos Gringo's carne asada burrito all week, but they canceled on our event last minute to go to a different event. We hired these guys for our wedding food. Since we were having to hold it at our home vs. a venue we thought it would be the most "COVID friendly". They arrived on time, were very professional, put out the best food, and their prices were very fair. Everyone, and I mean everyone who attended the wedding (aprox 130 people) made a point to comment on the food. Although they didn't immediately hand you a plate of food, because they make their items to order, there were ZERO complaints about them. They really helped make our day something special. read more

Not to be dramatic or anything but I would die for this place. Like if I ever go to prison, this would be a last meal request as I sit on death row waiting to be lethally injected. They had a good truck by the airport here and the lady was super sweet. The food was amazing for the price in all honesty. We ordered two tacos a la carte because they were not offering combinations-- normal prices for Denver for a la carte tacos. The food was flavorful and overall fresh. It would have been nice to be greeted and not turned a back on when approaching the truck. It was afterall a hired event. I was also told no churros, so I didn't even ask for any other sides. They were not listed on the truck menu itself when we ordered in person, but they were listed online, so I am not sure what that was all about. I was asked to pay in card because change couldn't be broken for a $20. I also had to request a receipt. I would like to try some of their sides, and we recommend them, but please guys, act like you want to be there. Show some appreciation for patrons that come out to support you. This company's food truck had committed to being at the complex i live at from 5-8pm. And, they would only accept Mobile orders (which is fine.) But, I could not order the whole night- their website kept saying "not available." I kept waiting to place my order. I actually went down to the food truck to let them know i was unable to order and they simply said "we have a lot of orders, you may want to try again in ten minutes." Again, I kept trying to place my order. I could see the food truck from my living room window. They left the complex at 7:23pm- didn't even stay the entire time that they had committed to staying. Their staff was unfriendly when i spoke to them; they would make eye contact but would not engage in speaking with me.
