Their green chili is a salt bomb! Uneatable, I threw it in the trash. How they can stay is business, is beyond me.

I asked for a burrito with light or less beans and I received mostly beans. They did not care to resolve this issue.

Their burritos are very good and they have great customer service. This place is much better than the old Santiago's that used to be there.

I ordered the yogurt parfait and it was delicious. My husband got a breakfast burrito and said it was pretty good but not the best he's ever had. He thought the wrap was too thick/ doughy. We were in CO for the Rocky Mountain Siberian Husky Club specialty and wanted something light to munch on. We generally never eat breakfast, but needed a little something to get us through the afternoon until dinner since we wouldn't have time for lunch. Wolf and Honey came up during my research and we thought why not? It looked super cute and the reviews were solid. I'm really glad we stopped by! We entered through the rear entrance, since that was where our car was parked, but the front entrance was nice as well. The interior was chic and inviting. You order at the counter and take a table number for your food. The toasts looked really good, so I went with the strawberry pistachio while my husband went with the avocado. For our drinks, I went with an iced espresso honey lavender with oat milk, while my husband went with an iced teddy bear latte with oat milk. Both of the lattes were strong without being bitter, and delightfully smooth. The toasts, however, were the stars of the show. Toasted to perfection, with a generous amount of toppings and drizzles of balsamic and honey for mine and hot honey for my husband's. For only $10 each too, what a good price point. We sat in comfy chairs by the window, basking in the morning sun, indulging in our toasts while sipping on our lattes. When we finally finished our brunch, we bussed our own tables, putting the plates and utensils in a bin by the ordering counter. I noticed that Wolf and Honey also offered happy hour cocktails, which unfortunately we did not have time in our schedule to partake in, but will need to the next time we visit Brighton. I'd definitely return to Wolf and Honey, especially for their delicious sourdough toasts!

Holy cow that was a horrible diner…read more The owners were very non-chalant about seating us. We originally sat near the service door to the kitchen and heard a lot of complaining when people went in and out of the door. Had to ask to be reseated. We were not quickly attended to, never received our water in a timely manner, but we did get our coffee which was incredibly watered down and flavorless. (Granted, we got our coffee quickly.) Had two different dishes: one was their "sampler" of sorts, and another was an omelette smothered in gravy. The sampler had decent eggs - the hashbrowns were food service hashbrowns that were stale and not very crispy and chewy - typical food service grade: "acceptable". Ham and sausage were incredibly bland, bacon was just salted bacon with zero flavor. Had a waffle that disintegrated as soon as I put butter and syrup on it - completely turned to mush, had a raw consistency. The pancakes were the only decent thing on the plate, and it's clear they were Bisquick. Omelette didn't have layered meat and cheese, it was all whipped together - very very lazy. Overall, very disappointing. Cost was only thing decent about the restaurant. Lots of older people in the diner, which tells me "salty and bland". The clientelle of the restaurant usually represents how the food will be, and for hospital level service food, this was spot on. Now, I realize restaurants are struggling to survive. But if you're struggling and you simply don't care, that's a different story. Hit up Moonlight Diner off of Tower. Longer drive, but worth the trip. If you're really hungry, stop by McDonald's instead.

A Denver Gem: State House (Commerce City) If you find…read moreyourself near the northern edge of Denver, State House in Commerce City is an absolute must-visit. It has that perfect "rustic-chic" Colorado vibe--warm, wood-accented, and welcoming--making it just as good for a casual lunch as it is for a weekend dinner. The Burger Battle * Bison Burger: This was the star of the show. It's lean but incredibly juicy, with a deep, rich flavor that puts standard beef to shame. * Pro Tip: Pairing it with the tomato bisque instead of fries was a game-changer. The soup was creamy, vibrant, and had a slight sweetness that cut through the richness of the bison perfectly. * Pub Burger: A classic done right. Two patties, perfectly seared, with a side dijonnaise that adds just the right amount of kick. It's everything a pub burger should be--messy in the best way possible. The side garden salad was surprisingly fresh and crisp, providing a nice light balance to the heavy-hitter burger. The Atmosphere & Service The space is beautiful--modern design meets local charm. We were particularly impressed by the service; the staff was attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they take pride in the locally sourced ingredients they're serving. The Verdict Whether you're a fan of wild game like the bison or you just want a solid, high-quality cheeseburger, State House hits the mark. It's rare to find a place where the "side" soup is just as memorable as the main course, but that tomato bisque is worth the trip alone. I'll definitely be back for another round of that bison burger!
