I'll start this review with the caveat that I've only been here during lunch. However, both times I've been here so far, I've been impressed and very happy with the entire experience while at this restaurant. More of a sit down restaurant, you'll be seated and the staff will take your order. There isn't a chip and salsas bar, but that's fine because of the way the restaurant is. The staff is incredibly friendly and great throughout the meal. Instead of chips and salsa, you'll get ceviche, tostada, and crackers. The ceviche is good and a wonderful way to start the meal. It's included, so it's great. If you run out, the staff hasn't had a problem with replenishing the table. Having come at lunch, I take advantage of the lunch special. For nearly half the price as other restaueanrs and taquerías, (depending on the competitor), you can get a whole mojarra plate! There are other intriguing options included in the lunch special choices, and all of them are great deals. For the price, I can't complain about the options on the lunch special menu. The dish fills you up, and combined with the free device, you'll come out of here absolutely stuffed. It's an incredible value. The platter was good. I've had worse. The combination of everything made it a great experience, and I'll be back again for the lunch special. I also got a jamaica, and it was refreshing after being outside in the heat.

Had the best asada taco today. Make sure you add the guacamole salsa, which adds such a brightness. The staff are so friendly and happy to explain any item.

I have eaten in lots of Mexican restaurants. But not many like Las Islitas, which is mainly focused on seafood. Yes! They have very delicious seafood and amicable customer service. The drinks at Las Islitas are excellent, with reasonable prices. Perfect match with the yummy seafood dishes here. The dining room in Las Islitas is vast and suitable for the live band show interaction with the customers. I come to Galt many times, and Las Islitas is one of the restaurants I like the most.

The food is always consistent and on point! As much as I love chips and salsa, they're ceviche with crackers and chips is outstanding! It's a great place to watch football or any sports that are on. There are plenty of tvs to see from any seat in the house. And they've always had nothing but great service! Even when I get a doordash,it's consistent!

Yummy!! I love Mexican seafood. Sometimes it's hard to find so here's a place that really specializes in seafood. There's so much to choose from; they have shrimp, fish, oysters, mussels, crab legs, squid, abalone, and even chicken and beef for those who aren't into seafood. It's ALL good here. Most Mexican restaurants will give you chips and salsa before your meal but Las Islitas stepped it up and gives fish ceviche to each table free of charge. That's great customer service if you ask me. On todays visit, I had a shrimp taco and a mariachi taco (bacon wrapped shrimp taco). You heard that correctly-bacon wrapped shrimp taco. Wow what a great idea, it was delicious. The only thing I'll do different next time is, I'll get my tacos without the sauce. They put a thousand island type sauce on both types of shrimp tacos, I'm not into the sweetness. But the JALEPENO salsa they brought out to me was delicious. My waitress was friendly and attentive, everything was great. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

We really enjoy coming here when we are in Galt. The food is always delicious and the staff is so nice and welcoming. Their happy hour prices are good and lots of tvs to watch if you like sports. Show some love and support this business, they're awesome!

The food was very good I got two asada tacos with beans and rice, the tacos were very good and the meals came with complementary ceviche. However the service was very slow, each dish was taken out one by one, my friend waited 20 mins after my dish came out for chicken wings. The environment however was very nice, the walls were covered in murals and on the Friday that I went there there was mariachi. I would definitely go there again but when I have more time!

Wonderful food. Service was solid. The flavor of the seafood in the molcajete was outstanding. My fish taco was superb... the crunch... the flavor.. on point. The seafood cocktail had lovely chunks of avocado. I'm drooling again thinking about it all. We were not asked much if we needed more of anything .... But were asked just enough.

I had a little trouble finding this place... but I'm glad I did! I had ceviche and the diablo shrimp plate both delicious. My waitress Arcelia was great. Nice vibe. Looks like a cool place to catch a game or grab a bite with the family. Maybe next time I'll bring them.

Absolutely love this place! The food is consistently good and the service is excellent our server was Yanet gave us outstanding service, she was really knowledgeable and happy to serve us. Brought some friends here for dinner and were so impressed! Definitely will be coming back for some more delicious food and is in my top favorite place to eat in Galt. I recommend the shrimp Cora and devils shrimp it's to die for. read more

If I could I would leave 0 stars, service was absolutely horrible . I came with a party of four and we each got our food like 10 minutes apart. The empanadas were dry, The shrimp tasted funny, the food was cold, the beans were flavorless. We were surrounded by mess, each table in our peripheral was dirty and had not been cleaned during our entire visit (3 hours long). We also had a Togo box where our head was the entire visit because they never cleaned. We also asked for a high chair and they didn't bring it until the third plate was served. NONE of our food came with tortilla like it states on the receipt. Other people were leaving without paying because they took so long to bring their food. At the end of our visit we asked to speak to a manager but there wasn't one. Only a lead waiter I guess. He explained to us that there was nothing he could do as far as a discount, como. ANYTHING! That's probably why the other people left without paying. This is wrong and unacceptable. I had spoken with Gregorio or Rogelio not exactly sure what his name is but he did nothing to Fix the shitty service we received. He just gave us the hours the owner "Alma" would be available to speak with us, but that still doesn't fix the horrible service we received. I'm sure the owner will not care to fix this experience so I'm leaving a review to make everyone aware they don't care about customers just the profit. Never will I ever return again. read more

We ordered takeout steak and shrimp tacos online through GrubHub. I received the text that our order was ready. My husband went to go pick it up and was informed by the cashier and manager that no orders had come through. He came back home to get his phone showed the screenshot to the manager. Come to find out the order was sitting on the counter getting cold. While the steak was tender, the shrimp was over cooked and the beans scorched. Not impressed we will not be returning. read more

Food is good. Usually sit at the bar and Have a few drinks and eat. Atmosphere is good doesn't get too loud. Our waitress Esmeralda is great. Always makes sure we are well taken care of. If we're almost done with our drink she makes sure to ask if we would like another. Which is good because who wants to wait for another drink. 5 stars to her. Overall it's great read more

It took me awhile to write this review deciding if they should of got a break because they were understaffed or whatever other reason. Tbh idk where to start the not A1 service or the terrible food. I guess the service we were seated and it took about 10-15 mins for our waiter to come to us. When we ordered it was also awhile for the food to come out but it was kinda packed so that's normal. But when the food came (asada & ceviche) I wasn't given any fork or tostadas to eat the food with and the asada was dry. I would of complained to the waiter but she was no where to be found I had to ask another waiter that was running around busy what my waiter's name (Raquel) was and if she could get to to bring me another soda and to have the food remade and of course that never happened. The waiter only came to give me my tab and still didn't even ask if I or my friends wanted another drink. Honestly I don't think we'll be visiting here again after a long day of work. Waiter needs to be retrained. read more

Found a place like this in woodland one day and described it to my son. He recommended this one in galt (not owned by same family). The waitress brought out chips and ceviche as a starter. I had levante mueratos (all types of seafood in spicy sauce). Very good and huge portion size. My husband had 7 seas soup. His was a bit spicier n came with a decent serving of Dungeness crab. Service was attentive. Will definitely return read more

This is my all time favorite restaurant. Everytime I go I receive fast and friendly customer service and the food is always amazing. My go to dish is Langostinos, they have a unique spicy flavor that is highly addicting. I go to the restaurant for all special occasions and really enjoy the Mariachi band on Friday nights. I highly recommend dining at this facility if you are looking for amazing Mariscos! read more

Couldn't even eat the Carne Asada is was so over cooked and rock hard. Two out of the three tortillas weren't even edible they were so dried out and cracked.... So glad I paid $15+ for a small side of rice and beans. This is just terrible. Never again. read more

I did not care for this restaurant. I just have to start with that. I love mariscos. There is just something about a good drink and mariscos that really sets the tone for an evening out. Unfortunately this place didn't set any tone. The service was slow. But one could overlook that if they had great food. Their chips and salsa were good. I ordered a pineapple margarita. Might as well have ordered a watered down maybe pineapple maybe something else. It was terrible. It lacked a definitive flavor profile besides alcohol and water that may or may not have a taste. My food was under seasoned and very greasy. It also took them a while to bring it. My husband liked his dish. I think it's like a pineapple halve that gets stuffed. I've had better experiences. I'm torn between a 2 star rating and 3. What is pushing me to the 3 is the fact that this is in Galt. They get 1 star for trying this here, where the town is small. read more

This place was bomb on our way to Sacramento from being at a party the day before. We were all hungover and wanted some delicious seafood and micheladas. We had never been but would go back without hesitation. The service, cleanliness and food was on point. I have zero complaints and was happy to have so many options from food to drinks. The drinks were good, I had a Margarita and a Michelada. We saw them deliver at least 5 meals to the wrong tables. They delivered two meals to our table that were not ours. When we told them they asked the table next to us if they were theirs. They served my sons kids meal after about 30 minutes. About 5 minutes later they brought 2 kids dinners and asked if they were ours. The chicken dinosaurs were dry. After about an hour they served my wife her dinner. The shrimp was fried for way too long and almost disintegrated. After about an hour and 20 minutes I canceled my dinner which still hadn't arrived and payed my bill. read more

I will start this off by saying that the Mariachi Tacos just may be the best tacos I've ever had... and I've had alot of tacos from many different places. So why only 2 stars you may be asking? Well, this is the first time I went into this store. I usually go to the one in Lodi. I was checking the drinks and asked about one, he recommended not to get it so I ended up getting the pina colada without alcohol. Sounds good, thanks for not letting me waste money on something I wouldn't like. So I ordered the same drink at Lodi, but with alcohol for only $4.99. When I got the drink, it was much smaller. Probably about 1/4-1/3 of the size. Made sense since it didn't include alcohol this time. If I knew it was going to be that small, I would've gotten alcohol with it. Paid the bill and left. When I checked the receipt on the way home, it said I was charged $7.50 for a virgin pina colada when the price on the menu said it was $4.99. So why the extra charge? Looking more into it and seeing photos of the menu, it says "Prices subject to change without notice." Ummm how about NO and how about informing the customers ahead of time of any price changes instead of just adding it to the bill. If that's the case, you might as well just get rid of all the prices on the menu. I'll just stick to the Lodi store unless they happen to want to change the price on the fly. read more

Worst food EVER!! We got 10 bacon wrapped shrimp tacos and 2 orders of muscles so 90 worth of food before tip... the tacos were so stale we couldn't bite through the taco shell and the muscles were over cooked and cold.. not to mention I called to let them know and apparently no one answers when they close an hour later! And I tried calling 6 times!! read more

There are so many great things to say about this restaurant that I'm not sure where to start. They provide quality service and quality food. I came here on a Friday night with my husband and sister. It was busy but we were greeted and seated quickly. I love that they have a live mariachi as it brought back childhood memories of when I would go out to eat with my grandparents. I also love that they serve ceviche with tostadas instead of chips and salsa. We started with drinks and I ordered the blended mango margarita... it was basically a mangonada with alcohol and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered their siete mares, I ordered their molcajete, and my sister ordered asada tacos (she's basic for that lol). Everything was ON POINT! The siete mares was my personal favorite. With amazing service and bomb food, this is officially our go-to restaurant for mariscos. read more

Great night, Great food and awesome mariachi. One of the best drinks I've had. Made up by Bartender D'niro with Mezcal Vago 100% agave. Had a great smoky aroma and flavor. Found out the pine apples are cooked in an earthen oven that is built into the ground in the mountains of southern Oaxaca. Very Tasty! I've been here a few times. It's always a hit or miss. Today I ordered the shrimp and octopus ceviche. Texture and flavor was good. The only issue I had was that they do not remove the poop from the shrimp. I also ordered their oysters. If you're serving raw oysters at least make sure they're fresh. read more

Stop in for an excellent meal that will leave you full and enough leftovers for a whole meal the next day. The fajitas were an incredible combination of steak, chicken and shrimp seasoned perfectly with the freshest of vegetables. The place was popular with the locals and the music was going the whole time. Staff was very friendly and at the top of their game. Decent prices to boot. read more

We got to the restaurant at 7:55. Online and the door said they closed at 9:00. An hour before close is not a jerk time to come in. The music was turned off at 8:15. Then half the lights were turned off at 8:30. Such an awkward dinner. Spent $100 for half our food to go and not finishing our drinks. 2 stars for good food. read more

Order the fish tacos!!! For less than $3, it's so good, the fish is fried but light, topped with fresh shredded cabbage, and, THE SAUCE is amazing! Before you order you get a complimentary basket of fried tortillas and an amazing seafood salsa which was so fresh with cilantro, peppers, onions, and tomatoes, almost a meal in itself! Had to wait forever to be seated. Extremely slow and poor service. After we were seated it took a long time to get drinks, and then it took a long time to take the order. Asked for more "chips" (Small fried tortillas) which we never received. One dinner came out with food that got dropped off at the table next to us. By the time the other dinner came out the beans and rice were cold. Might try again; but not anytime soon. read more

I really liked this place. Never been to any of their other locations but I've always heard good things and I'm glad I made this location my first visit! All of the servers are young but so so so nice and very knowledgeable of the menu. Our server was great with servicing my family, especially since we came close to closing time lol. He checked in on us regularly and I love that the servers are so fluent in Spanish, makes it easy for my in laws to order. We definitely ordered across the menu and everything came out great! The parking lot is fairly small. I stopped by around lunchtime to snap some pictures of the menu and the lot was packed!! Later in the day we came for dinner and it was almost empty. Definitely give this place a try!!! read more

This place is the place to go! Never a miss when you come here all the waitresses are amazing and really attentive. Breanna is a good waitress she clears up any questions you have and is very quick. Alicia the bartender is amazing as well she gets your drinks going quick. I'm never waiting for a drink as soon as I finish my drink she's asking if I need another drink. Meet the Business Owner: Alma, Carlos and Armando R.

Owners Alma and Carlos Vicenty along with Alma’s brother Armando extended the family business to their hometown of Galt. They wanted to bring a new concept to town full of flavor including Exotic Mexican seafood dishes and Classic Mexican dishes.

Unfortunately, over time, we've had several disappointing visits. The food portions have noticeably decreased, and the meals no longer seem to have the same amount of sauce, flavor, or care put into them like they did in the beginning. On top of that, the atmosphere feels completely different now. Lately, it seems like employees are talking amongst themselves while staring at customers, and we've received dirty looks on multiple occasions. It creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment, which is disappointing considering how positive the experience used to be. A few times after eating here, I felt nauseous, but I brushed it off and assumed it was just the combination of the hot sauce and sour cream. However, I order the exact same items from the Lodi truck and never experience that issue there. Our most recent visit finally pushed me to leave a review. We ordered our usual the Tequileros Super Burrito and the tortilla seemed undercooked, like it barely touched the grill. The burrito itself was cold from the sauce and cheese, the cheese wasn't melted at all, and the rice had little to no flavor. It made me sick and I could not take another bite. Waste of money. ): I normally don't like posting negative reviews, especially for a restaurant I used to genuinely support, but this experience was too disappointing not to mention. I'll continue supporting the Lodi location because the quality there has stayed consistent, but Galt is much closer and I truly wish this location would return to the quality and customer service it had when it first opened. I believe in this business, but the food and customer experience need to reflect the value and reputation it started with. Hope this helps!

We tried this place out because my aunt goes on about how much she loves it so my parents and I came down to galt and gave it chance. The food wasn't good, the place did not look welcoming, and the customer service was super bad. We waited about 10 minutes to get our drinks and the food took forever to arrive, we waited too long for bad quality food. We were all thinking if they're taking that long to make our food then it should be good but it was so bad. The portions were big but it is not worth it. While we were eating it we came the conclusion that it was not worth the price. I do not recommend it! read more

Incredible is the best way to describe this place the atmosphere is wo alive with music and everyone with huge smiles. We were greeted with such courtesy. Out waitress Gabriela as that is what it said on our receipt was amazing she got our order in promptly she even went out of her way to have some songs played specifically at our request. The food was amazing never had i tried bacin wrapped shrimp with cheese before and tonight i found out what i was missing out on. Will definitely be back as soon as i can. Finally made it to Taco Tuesday. I went straight to the very packed bar. I was quickly greated by Dinero and Julie. $3 drafts $1 taco through happy hour can't beat that! Great food even better drinks. Wonderful service by Julie.. The male Dinero was working hard and managing the bar all the way. I love this place! One of my friends brought me here once and I've never gone to any Mex. restaurant since. Their Langostinos, fried whole tilapia, ceviche, and their bacon wrap shrimps are all so delicious and must have. We have gone to both locations (24th Street and Galt) and they are both great. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. And, oh, by the way, the portions are huge. read more

Just opened and have already been there twice. Instead of salsa n chips you get a bowl of cevichi and toasted tortillas/crackers. Good food, generous portions and quite a variety.
