Started off with the queso fundido. Initial flavor was great but there was no after taste. Sounds weird I know after a couple more bites best way I can describe it is pretty flavorless. Chips or thick but very well salted, just how I like. The horchata was a very small serving for the price. Wouldn't necessarily recommend. Fish tacos were very very yummy. Loved the sauce and Fresca that came with it. Husband got filet quality of meat was high but wasn't a fan of the seasoning. Mushrooms were ok, probably wouldnt order again. Chicken quesadilla was very delicious kind of hard to mess up that dish. Enjoyed the sauce and guac that came with it. The cauliflower side was surprisingly Devine. The sauce and lemon. Everything about with was so good. Last but not least was the churro icecream. Very very basic. Churros on its own no bueno. With the icecream and sauce not terrible but maybe some corners were cut for that dessert. Wouldn't recommend. The ambience was fun, the fire dancer was entertaining, service was great! All in all I would try this place again but don't think I would add it to my regulars spots I read more

We were very excited to finally try Las Botellas ,but unfortunately it was kind of a let down. We ordered the chicken tinga flautas for our appetizer. The sauces and other extras that came with it were delicious, but the flautas themselves lacked flavor. For our entrees we got the tri tip carne asada and the salmon. The tri tip had good flavor, but the corn tortillas were a little thick and overpowered the other flavors. The salmon was delicious! Cooked perfectly, but quite spicy (which I actually enjoyed). For dessert we were really hoping to try the flourless chocolate cake, but they were out. So we had the tres leches, which was good. We also tried the fuego azul drink. It was quite sweet. The drink was supposed to be lit on fire and have a small fire show, but ours wouldn't light. The water cups they provide were very small and we had a difficult time getting our water refilled. There was no DJ and the fire dancers were only out for a few minutes during our meal, so that was a bit of a disappointment as well. Overall it was a nice night, but we're not sure if we would go back. read more

We've been here before and really enjoyed it! I wanted to treat my wife and my family to a special Mother's Day brunch as the menu looked great and the drinks were excellent last time! This time was the polar opposite. We had 1:30pm reservations and checked in at around 1:20. They were able to seat us immediately. That's where it went down hill. For about 25 minutes- no server came to us. We had an individual give us water, chips and Salsa.... That was it. Tried to flag down some folks to see if we could order but nope.... By my observation- they had one waiter and a manager taking the orders. Several families that sat before us didn't even have food.... Seemed like they were so short staffed. I get it, it's rough... but at least tell the families there what's happening. Communication is key and we would have been totally understanding but no communication is the absolute worst. We got up and left at 1:45pm and went to the Korean BBQ which was amazing. Having this big of a let down on Mother's Day is a big issue for me. I will not be back and I'm unable recommend others to go there (I can't imagine how bad I would feel if a friend went there and endured what we went through). Absolutely terrible. read more

Extremely disappointed on the food. Taste and overall food quality. This restaurant is definitely more concerned on ambiance than the culinary taste. I have eaten here several times, as I live close to Las Botellas. From the starter chips and salsa flight, to the taco/ taqueria entrees, the food is very bland and not even close quality Mexican food. The best I've eaten here was the $49 ribeye. But a much better ribeye and a better price point at Texas Roadhouse within 2 miles. And the drinks! Save your money. They are only for show. Also, the sign with flashing lights for someone's birthday is almost comical to those who enjoy fine dining in the ambience of a good restaurant. Service is subpar and more concerned with catering in trying to make the restaurant feel as if you are on the Las Vegas strip or out the country. This restaurant is for a very young want to be in the spotlight crowd. However, there was never much of a crowd and reservations are pretty easy to get. If Las Botellas focuses more on their food quality and taste, this restaurant may last. read more

DANIEL WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!! I will request him EVERY TIME!!!! The food is amazing and he has the best recommendations

Finally a good restaurant in UT instead of all the cheap chain restaurants. Felipe was awesome, the drinks were awesome, and comfortable, fun, relaxing and overall good time. Coulda used cocktail sauce with the dank ass calamari but the sauce it came with was also slapperific. Came here for my boyfriends birthday and we will definitely be back with friends to try out their outside seating read more

It has a very nice environment although the music is very loud (lounge like). The food was lacking in flavor. Our table of four ordered the salsa flight which came with 4 salsas and 3 lacked much flavor, the pineapple salsa was good though. For dinner we tried the suggested favorites of Tri Tip Carne Asada Tacos which were very lacking in flavor. The Chile Relleno was very small and nondescript, the Barbados Enchilada's had a hint of interest but not enough to choose again. The Wagu burger was the favorite choice of the night and was very good. We shared a side of Esquire which was very good too. We were celebrating a birthday and the food choice of the birthday boy (tacos) was not very tasty at all and he didn't finish eating it. We all decided it was pretty inside but the taste and flavors were greatly lacking in the dishes we ordered. read more

What a fantastic restaurant! It offers the best service in Salt Lake City. You have to try their delicious seafood platter, flavorful barbacoa enchilada, and irresistible churros. I'm already looking forward to my next visit when I'll definitely try the tableside tomahawk with my friends. I can say with certainty that I will be back 100%. read more

I'm from San Francisco so I'm used to restaurants like this, but I was turned off right when I walked in. It is INCREDIBLY loud and the vibe of it was like they're trying too hard to be something between a club and a restaurant. We sat down and my boyfriend and I couldn't hear each other over the loud music unless we leaned in close. We ordered some of their specialty cocktails ($19-$23). The sangria is really good. I tried the blue one and it was really sweet, it reminded my boyfriend and I of a sugary drink we had when we were younger (can't remember the name of it). We also ordered the salsa sampler which was good, I liked the salsa verde much more than the others. For our entrees, I ordered the blue corn quesadilla and my boyfriend ordered the ceviche. Mine was absolutely terrible. The tortilla was so stale that it was hard to chew. There was almost NO cheese whatsoever, probably a tablespoon or two. And it tasted as if it was microwaved. My boyfriend brought it up to the server and the server started defending it. Saying that they make the tortillas fresh everyday. They get rid of the ones from the day before (uh, wasteful), and that they don't even have a microwave. Anyways, he kept making excuses for the quesadilla. We were very nice about it, didn't ask for another one or anything, even though only a third of it was edible (that's being generous). Oh yeah, the quesadilla was $21!!! The fire dancer is cool, but seems ridiculous to do every night for her to just walk a circle of the restaurant. This place should focus on the food, and not on trying to be a Vegas restaurant/club. We decided to give it another chance. We went back another day to sit at the bar and have a appetizer and cocktails. We sat down and the bar counter was absolutely filthy. Covered in food remnants and random liquids. We sat there for 15 minutes, not even acknowledged. We finally got up and left. No thanks. Negative reviews seem to keep disappearing LOL read more

Not impressed. The club music was obnoxious and way too loud. We even asked if they could turn it down a bit since there was a speaker right above our table. The service was weak, never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert. When paying the card machine glitched and our server brought over receipts with a QR code for us to pay through our phone, not a typical practice for an "upscale" restaurant. The food was overpriced and underwhelming. I had a Casa Margarita, the "crispy" fish tacos, and the salsa flight. The fish in the tacos was a breaded halibut, but soggy and definitely not crispy. It was like microwaving a fried piece of halibut. *barf* The margarita was weak partly due to Utah liquor laws, but also just lacking in overall flavor. The salsa flight was okay -- the cashew salsa was the best one, but not good enough for me to come back to this place. It had potential to be a cool restaurant, but it missed the mark. There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants round. Go to Red Iguana or Blue Iguana. Even Costa Vida would've been better food and service. read more

This ambiance was great and all and enjoyed the fact that they tried to bring the place to life but the only thing good about this place was the furniture and the show they put on with the girl playing with fire. We had set a reservation for 8:45 but didn't get seated till 9:30 PM. The waiter wasn't very great and barely knew what was going on with our orders. All three of our dishes tasted flavorless. I had the lamb tacos and it tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Very squishy and the tortillas were soggy. It took them an hour to bring out our food and had to wait 20 mins just to get our drinks. When they brought us a beer that someone ordered they had brought it in a can with no glass to pour it into. Nobody knew what was going on here as the bartender brought the same drink over 3 times that we did not order. I have never been so dissatisfied and disappointed with a restaurant. They tried to make up for it by giving us dessert on the house but it took an additional 20 mins for them to bring it out. To put it into perspective we were here for 3 and a half hours. There needs to be major improvements to a place like this. Lots of potential but for how much we paid it wasn't worth the experience. read more

They only hire people who "look" the job. Very unprofessional and the hostess had no idea what she was doing. Definitely need some experienced waitresses/waiters before I will ever be back. read more

Great vibe, very good service, clean and different for Utah. Not the best food. Family of four, the bill was $280 and the food was 4/10 everyone got different meals and non of it was all that appealing. read more

I have been waiting since September for this place to open! Now that I have been, my hopes were a bit let down. Don't get me wrong this is a great place, I loved how they made each guest feel like a movie star on opening day. The food and drinks are amazing! I just personally wouldn't want a 3 hour dinner, granted it was opening day. We waited 30 mins after our reservations for our table but they directed us to their patio to listen to a live band as we waited ( I love the idea, wish we were at least served drinks wether it was from the bar or just water). Once seated, we brought our own unopened bottle of wine and the corkage fee was $50 (just for future reference), Immediately we were brought glasses and was asked if we would like for them to open. We of coursed ordered their Fuego Azul and Papasito, both were amazing. The Azul had a toasted coconut and sugar rim and it came with a fire show obviously, which was beautiful to see. The Papasito made me feel like I was at a hot summer resort, it was more on the citric side of a pina colada and came in this adorable tiki man cup. Overall, the drinks were phenomenal! We order the oysters, calamari and ceviche. The oysters came huge, this was my first time having them so it was a bit of an experience and they were great! The calamari had the most amazing and crisp breading and I couldn't get enough of the cilantro aioli. The ceviche was great, more on the spicy side and a bit smaller portion than what I thought. It didn't come with chips but we just asked the waitress for some. I got the chicken La Roca for my entree it was presented great but didn't come with tortillas or the cashew salsa like it said on the menu, so I asked for some tortillas and was charged for them and my entree came out with all the appetizers so I was eating in front of my entire table. I tried to wait for their food to come and just have the shareables since my food was on a hot stone but the other entrees took an hour to get to them. Our waitress wasn't sure what was going on and she said she would have the manager come speak with us but we never saw him, she said dessert for the table was on them. Once the rest of the entrees came out I got another one of my entrees, we explained to the other waitress that I already got mine and she said I can just have the second one and apologized for the confusion. Overall, the place was stunning, the food and drinks were amazing even though the experience was a little rocky. We are going to go back once the popularity dies down just a bit and try and have a whole new experience. We appreciated the whole staff, singers, DJ and dancers doing a great work and hopefully we see you again soon! read more

Las Botellas - Fuego Azul - Desserts Near Me - Riverton, Utah

My terrible experience at Las Botellas on Father's Day. The restaurant was not able to manage their reservations properly. Despite arriving early and being told to wait, we were not seated for over 15 minutes after your reservation time. Despite other people being seated that arrived behind us the size of our table. We asked about the status of our table, we were told to wait for another 15 to 20 minutes. This is unacceptable customer service, especially on a holiday like Father's Day. I hope that Las Botellas can improve their service in the future to provide a better experience for their customers. I really wanted to show my hardworking mexican father a great Mexican meal and experience but that didn't happen, its definitely not what it looks like on Instagram read more

Not impressed - sadly. Tacos were so dry. Appetizer was ok. Drinks were not bad - hence the 2 stars. Service was great. Fix those carne asada tacos & I will come back. Just too much $ for so so. read more

I have been here before and it's a fun new restaurant and thought it would be fun to take my adult children there for my 55th birthday. Historically my kids have always cooked for me since their father passed away, but I thought it would be a nice treat for everyone to get out of the heat and go somewhere fun. We called and made reservations and specifically asked for a booth so that we could sit around a table and talk to each other as my children are all adults and married now. Since I have been here before, with a few friends, I knew that there are three fabulous booths for large parties right behind the hostess desk, and we had requested one of those. Our reservation was for seven people. I told my son when making the reservation that if they couldn't get us in a booth, we should go somewhere else because the restaurant is loud even though the atmosphere is fun and festive. The restaurant told us we would be in a booth. Again, this is a special occasion, my kids have always tried to make my birthday special since their father died. We arrived, and for some reason they made us wait outside. It's of course 104° outside on July 23 in Utah. Then when we all arrived, we made our way back into the lobby and finally after fidgeting around with menus for a full 15 minutes they proceeded to sit us at a table with me, sitting at the end sticking out into the aisle. I told them that we had specifically asked for a booth and they told us that we would not fit in a booth. But in all reality they had just given our booth away. It was kind of downhill from there. Since the hostesses clearly don't know what they're doing they slammed our waiter who promptly had to turf us to another waitress and forgot half of the things we ordered as well as a few drinks. Food came out cold table table side guacamole wasn't made until the same time our dinners were delivered because of the oversight. I had ordered a "dozen" oysters and they came out and asked me if I wanted six or 12 because they only had six left but then they found another six somewhere. Didn't really make sense. they comped our desserts but still our dinner topped $500 and it was a horrible horrible experience. Even to the point that my children had asked them to do the happy birthday sign and they spelled my name wrong.. Still a lot of kinks. It will be interesting if their location can sustain the population as we came from holladay to attend this restaurant. Can't see a lot of people in that area affording a $500 dinner. Terrible experience. Again. We are a well traveled fine dining family, and this was not it. Trashy clientele. Low end, wait staff for attempted high class restaurant. This restaurant might do well downtown or somewhere with an east side location of they could get their actual restaurant service up to the price point. Just awful. read more

Went here for Father's Day and it was not all it was hyped up to be. We had a reservation and they seated us very quickly and our sever was great but the food was mediocre. The table side quad was not made table side, chicken flautas were great but the fish tacos, barbacoa enchiladas and the Wagyu burger was all so spicy and not good spice because I like spice but trying to be spicy on purpose. The burger comes with fries but they don't have any ketchup. Fried cauliflower is very big chunks served with a green sauce. Churros and ice cream was great but mango sorbet again was spicy rather than palate cleansing and refreshing. The "entertainment" was more like a 30 second commercial. She came out on one side walk around for 30 seconds went to the back and changed out her fire then went to the other side for another 30 seconds and that was all we saw during the 7:50-9:20 we were there. Our waiter said they come out hourly so it's not even like you see it multiple times unless you are there for a very long time. This is a place that's cool but not all it's hyped up to be. read more

The ambience was super fun. The decor was stunning. However, It is very loud and the tables are wide, so my friend had to move and sit beside me instead of across from me so we could hear each other. I saw many other couples sitting like that as well. The food was subpar. We got the fish tacos and the fish was not crispy at all. It was soft and kind of moist tasting and quite bland. I would definitely not suggest them. We got the enchiladas as well and they were okay. My friend and I both had to pull chunks of fat out of our mouths. And lastly we ordered the flourless chocolate cake dessert and were shocked by the spice. There is some type of spicy oil or sauce that they pair with it. Not my favorite and I think the server should have mentioned the spice when recommending it. My throat was burning a few bites in and we didn't finish it. The overall service at the restaurant was great tho! Very attentive waiters. I would not come back for the food. But I would be back for the vibe and entertainment. read more
