Came here because I was in the area and spotted this bakery. I've always loved Colombian bread, but usually go all the way out to Jackson Heights to go to Las Americas. As soon as I got inside, I was distracted by the decorations and colorful walls. There were also a ton of seats for customers to eat in. We came on a Saturday around noon. There was no line and the lady helped us immediately. I got pandebonos and buñuelos. Came out to exactly $3 for one of each. There's a lot of bread choices, cakes, and empanadas. Went here recently to get my usual and was very disappointed. I called in my order ahead of time so it would be ready when I arrived, but when I arrived I noticed there was a sign on the door "under new management". I knew something was wrong with the order because I should have been charged more. So I checked my order and they prepared the wrong dish for me (not what I ordered) so I asked if they could make the correction. They did without any issue but I couldn't help but notice they had to check the menu several times before preparing my order. Once I arrived home with my order I served my son and myself but we both noticed the difference in the quality of the food and the presentation: the beans were runny and my meat was overcooked (almost burned). So i went to this place mostly because of all the good reviews.. but boy was i wrong. 1. the reviews talk about how the customer service was great.. however the two ladies in the front didn't even smile once while i was there.. to anyone!! 2. i ordered an Arepa Especial. The arepa was burnt, the meat and shirmp were not season at all. All i could taste was the burnt arepa which personally i don't like. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

This place is really good. If You like to get delicious food and a lot of it for your $ this is your place is not expensive and the quality of food is great. The service is exceptional they willing to help you if you not sure about their menu. The drinks are great and risible price. Their natural fresh fruits are delicious and 100% natural NO artificial flavors. The restaurants is clean the bathroom has never been dirty the times I have been there. I ordered a delivery today its probably been my 10th time eating from this place, They get 1 star for many reasons,,.. 1. Every time I order they say 45 min to deliver and its usually over an hour today was past an hour and a half. 2. They do false advertising with the minimum for free delivery... their menu says $15 minimum , I was called 40 minutes after placing my order to be told I didnt reach their minimum of $25 my order was $18. WTF??? They have came here so many times before even for less and now they come up with new rules??? They should change their menu and state new minimums so customers like me who only need food for 1 person doesnt call them. The only reason I took their menu home was because when I have been there in person I asked the manager if they delivered to my address and he assured me they did. 3 . Something is always missing from the order in the past its been the salads from the entree today I was missing a fried egg on my platter. Which in the menu and photo clearly states it should come with it. My recent experience here was very nice. I came for breakfast (but I've been here for lunch and dinner as well) This place to me is more of your typical fast food Colombian restaurant. In other words, it's really what they're known for... The service is good but they do take a little while to bring out your food. The inside is clean and very colorful but most importantly the food is really good. I've had burgers, hot dogs, arepas and recently I had breakfast here. Horrible food, ordered breakfast. Asked for eggs over med and medium cooked steak. They sent over a well cooked steak with scrambled eggs. Called and told the person that picked up the phone she said they were too busy in the morning didn't bother to say we will replace it. The calentado was mushy and dry! No flavor. Delicious food for a great price, we ordered the pechuga con camarones and the baked salmon, with a side of rice and beans. Definitely get the pechuga con camarones, it comes with an irresistible cheesy sauce and four pieces of shrimp over a huge grilled chicken cut, the salmon was good but nothing special. The portions are huge and each entree comes with multiple sides that are all delicious. We also had the cheese empanada which was a filling and amazing, as well as the mini arepas which the place is known for. The stuffed arepas were wonderful and I will come back for them! I used to get food here when I wasn't vegan, it was great. Now that I am vegan... it would be nice to have options. It's 2017 ... they should have vegetarian/vegan options. My Colombian wife has always told me about stuffed arepas. This is the first place we have found that makes them the way she had described them to me. They are awesome. This place is so rude. I made a reservation for a table of 12. Not only were they not ready to attend us but they complained cause they thought I was having a meeting. Let me preface this review first that it is just about the way the business operates...not the food itself. Sadly it was not a viable option for me to try out the food and satisfy my arepas craving due to the way they run the place. So the lady who first picked up the phone did not really speak English, fine. She transferred me to a second lady who said they do not deliver to New Hyde Park and only up to Franklin Square, which is understandable since NHP can get pretty far. I called back a second time to clarify that I was actually only two minutes away from Franklin Square...she had to verify with I suppose was the manager, and then proceeded to tell me that they will deliver but under a $40 minimum, which the site failed to mention at all. All it said was "FREE DELIVERY!!!" numerous times. I was obviously disappointed because I was not about to order $40+ of arepas and food just for myself. Not sure if this standard would apply if I was under Franklin Square or Hempstead zip code, but whatever. I'm going to stick to my go-to arepas joint in the East Village, which is phenomenal by the way. Pretty sure they won't force me to order $40+ worth of food in order to fulfill a 10 min max delivery drive. PS: Also slightly sketchy that they don't have a prior Yelp page at all...their facebook posts are from like three years ago. And their google reviews on the 4.7 stars are sparse as well. Today was my first and LAST time coming to this restaurant! I am appalled and disgusted by the food and staff members! I went out to eat with a group of friends one of my friends forgot her ID so she ordered a regular drink she takes the cherry from my alcoholic beverage didn't even take a sip and one of the waiters comes over and tells her she isn't allowed to drink the drink that I am paying for mind you she never took a sip! That was strike one. Strike two was that the table they seated us in was dirty and had not been clean. Strike three was that I found a hair in my drink, showed the waiter and he told me it looks like it just happened. He was basically insinuating that we did it! I have never been so disgusted and disappointed by any restaurant/ staff workers! I don't recommend anyone coming to this place !
