This is like going back in time when the nice ladies behind the counter knew your name and your order. At Larrys in PV, they might not know your name, but even better, they do know your sandwich. It only takes a visit or two to feel like a regular and they make it easy to keep coming back. Thanks Martina - your are the giant sub sandwich queen! read more

I had driven by this sub shop on several prior occasions but had never tried it because I am a big Jersey Mike's fan. Today, I was headed to the beach nearby and decided to finally give it a try. I'm so glad I finally tried it. It is located in a strip shopping center along A1A in Ponte Vedra. There were plenty of employees working, and the service was super fast. The place has plenty of indoor tables if you choose to eat there, and fun theming and pictures on the walls. There was also one table outside to sit at, which I opted to do. The menu is big, with about 30 different hot subs, as well as about 10 different cold subs. I ordered my favorite sub, the Italian Big One. All of their subs come in either 8 inches or 12 inches. The bread was soft and tasty. The sub itself had ham, salami, and pepperoni, as well as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and Italian dressing. It was a very good sub, and I will definitely return in the future. They also sell 3 foot and 6 foot subs, as well as deli platters and party trays. read more

My husband picked up a quick lunch while we're in that part of town. He split a 12" Killer sub with me. It was so good! The meat was top quality and the bread was crispy crunch and soft inside. It was so satisfying. read more

'No ice' sign on drink fountain. We were directed to the bucket sitting on a table lined with a plastic bag with a large kitchen spoon. Seems super sketchy and not to health code. Fountain drinks are flat and not cold. Sandwiches were very good. read more

Larry's Giant Subs is definitely one of my favorite places to get subs. Their meat is fresh so the subs taste great. Their salads are also excellent. My favorite salad is their Greek salad & my favorite sub is their Hot Italian Sub. Service is great and staff is also very friendly. I've came to get a sub twice now and I'll definitely come back in the future. read more

Ordered a Cuban. I have never seen a sandwich made with 2 thin slices of meat. Asked it to be pressed and the guy litterally just smashed it and put it in the bag. 3 sandwiches was $38 dollars. Get a better samdwich and go to the JaxBeach location. Just look at all the reviews. read more

I work in the plaza next to Larry's and probably visit this location about one to two times a week. The service is AWESOME. Walking in, I'm greeted by the entire staff and everyone is warm. The subs are all great. I have tried a lot of the menu and my favorites are the inferno, gyro and Chicago beef. This location is so efficient, and the food is ready in no time. Extremely clean and very well kept inside. Highly recommend. read more

Phenomenal sub! Great traditional sub options. Best gluten free sub I have ever had. Will 1000% be going back. The staff was attentive, quick and friendly. The outside signage is not the most eye catching, but do not be fooled! Everyone can find something they will enjoy here with gluten free, traditional, hot and gold sub options. read more

While working in Jacksonville i mentioned I could use a sandwich. The people I was with said 'go to Larry's!' I did and it was great. I had a traditional Italian sub filled with fresh cut meats, crisp veggies and sharp provolone cheese. The place is large and eclectic with I can't recall but maybe a stuffed llama or giraffe or elephant...not sure. There were tons hot and cold sandwich choices. There was also so good looking cheesecakes and cookies. Try it. It's a solid choice! read more

How cheap has this establishment become!? After placing a $25 order for two subs, I requested extra sauce for my to go order. I was told that I would have to pay 50 cents for each thimble of sauce if I wanted extra. Are you kidding me? I used to frequent this business, but now I will never return because of how cheap you are. Now I can imagine this cheapness is most likely carrying over into every other part of the business. Happy Thanksgiving. read more

I moved here from new york a couple of months ago. This happened to be near my office complex so I gave it a shot. Let me be clear: I am incredibly picky about sandwiches, primarily because most places use crappy meat. I ordered a chicken sub with melted cheese lettuce and mayo.. and let me say I was STUNNED at the quality of the chicken! Each slice has been perfect and I have literally eaten lunch every day since. All it takes is one unchewable chunk in my chicken to ruin it for life for me.. and these guys clearly take pride in making sure every slice is curated to avoid that horror taking place. The bread is great. The toppings solid. Very very very good food here! You will not regret eating here! One last thing: I was actually turned off originally by the "giant sub" moniker because I dont want to eat a giant sub. but there are two sizes, and the smaller size was more to my liking. but if you like giant... it's available! read more

Very tasty Cuban sub. Got 3 kids meals today for $4.99 each. The pizza sub, meatball (yum), and turkey all looked good. Came with cookie, pickle, and drink. Not too bad. I got a large Cuban which I thought would be 12", but looked to come up a couple inches short. End was cut so they must come in loaves longer than 12". I would have loved the extra inches because it was very tasty. $9.54 for the sub, but it was made with green ingredients. A lot of signs in-house telling how Larry's promotes clean, green foods. I was pleased with the taste and would eat here again if I was in the area. read more

Very disappointed with my two visits. I always try a place twice before I leave a review. First and most of all the place is VERY dirty. From the front door to everything inside including the signs the glass everything!!! That's says a lot about a restaurant. Guy taking my order was rude and the food was ok at best. Seemed like the lettuce was old nothing was fresh at all. Always love Larry's but will not be back to the location. Don't waste your time. 0 stars!!! read more

Before I talk about how disappointed I was with this place, I want to point out that there was a very nice and helpful employee who really stood out. I didn't get his name, but he was a young gentleman who was trying really hard and that was definitely appreciated. The other employee was a female who looked really annoyed at being there. Now, off to the rest. I had been seeing their very delicious looking posters of a gyro - they are plastered all over, both outside and inside. You can see the picture of a nice very rich looking gyro that I posted and the flat, dull (and lukewarm to cold) one that I ended up being served. It was a picture worth a thousand words. read more

I remember Larry's Giant Subs being amazing as I was younger. I haven't been back to Jacksonville for quite some time, so I decided to come back to what I remembered. Best sandwich place in PV. DJ made my sandwich and he's the best chef around. He's also the kindest person ever!! 10/10 best subs in town!!!

BLT? More like a veggie add bacon.. called the Jax beach store and confirmed the amount of meat on the Big BLT... 8 slices of bacon go on a 8" and 12 on a 12" sub... I've been a frequent customer of this location for 10+ years, literally having lunch here 2-3 times a week. The family that owns this location are some of the nicest people you'll ever come across in the food service industry. They care about their customers and are exceptionally friendly (they've even been passing out free masks to customers, they don't require that customers wear a mask but how nice of them to think of their customers like that!). Importantly, I've always found the food to be fresh and the portions generous. Given my positive experience as a long-time regular customer, I can only conclude that the negative reviews here are either fake, posted by employees of a competitor or by someone that's just a habitual complainer. You cannot go wrong visiting this location, great ownership! read more

Definitely not as good as it used to be. Ordered two sandwiches today, they were very small and certainly not attractive, squished. The chick parm had maybe a teaspoon of sauce, a dry chunk of chicken and a minuscule amount of cheese. It was maybe ok. Totally not worth the cost. I don't think I'll be going back to Larry's. read more

The only reason why I go to Larry's these days is because of the service I receive form Charles. Literally if I could walk into any establishment and have the treatment that he gives us there would be no issues! He's is on point with his customer service and it really makes a huge difference! Charles you're awesome! The food is pretty good too! The only annoying thing I'd have to say is the fact they charge for to go sauce so the key is to eat in and use ALL and AS MUCH sauce as possible.. out of spite of course. You guys... it's cheaper to give me the to go sauce and bite the cost of the little TINY plastic container. C'mon now.. other than that no complaints. read more

This place is amazing. Just moved here from Los Angeles and started working at the UPS Store next door. The family that runs this establishment was so welcoming and friendly I now eat lunch there daily. They are constantly interacting with their customers and display excellent service overall. I could not be happier and while their competition in the center is also delicious, this place gets my business because of how pleasant the experience is everytime I go in. read more

What's not to like about Larry's subs? They have a really good menu with a lot of different subs and bread options available. They offer gluten-free bread that's really pretty good. They have Drive Thru and late hours. They are very generous with the amount of meat that they put on their sandwiches. I like the fact that you can sit there and enjoy your lunch. Their soup offerings are really tasty as well as their salads. I do find that they're a little expensive. But, you get what you pay for. The restrooms are usually clean. The people are usually very quick and friendly. Parking is easy. I like Larry's subs. read more

I work across the street for This Larry's lactation, and have been coming here practically everyday for the last 2 years. I love their food, but most of all I love the employees. Particularly, the owners, who are such a polite and caring couple. They always go above and beyond, to ensure the customer is satisfied with their service. Rather than just buying the sub shop and hiring a full staff to run it, they have taken the hands on route. They are usually in the shop working with their other employees, and leading them by example, 6 days a week. Their hard work, and passion for the shop, is truly inspirational. If there is ever an issue with an order, they don't hesitate to make it right. If I could give them 10 stars. I would. Great food, awesome atmosphere, and an amazing staff. I highly recommend checking them out if you're ever in the area! read more

This place is terrible. This is my third awful experience here and it will be the last. I walked in wasn't greeted at all everyone just stared at us. Not even a smile. The guy ringing me up acted like he was about to kill himself. Everyone that worked there looked SO miserable. We waited 20 minutes to get our subs ( there was a whole line of people waiting while they slowly took their time while laughing and goofing around) and when we did our orders were completely wrong. Everything we asked not to be on there was on it anyways. And not to mention it's called Larry's giant subs and the subs are no where near even remotely large. ALSO I watched one of the kids working there put his hand in his pants for a minute and then wrap someone's sandwich with no gloves I will spend my money at jersey mikes and jimmy johns where they are happy to have you and aren't 15 year old brats running the place. read more

I called and the manager never would call me back after leaving 2 messages! Third attempt his wife answered and said"we busy call back after 2" and hung up! The food wasn't bad. We do like their Cuban and the tuna melt. The experience at checkout was upsetting. I presume the owner took our order. We got one meal and one sandwich. We share a drink as we always do when we go out. The gentleman at checkout asked if I was drinking water, and I replied that no, I would share her drink. He responded that we wouldn't be able to get any refills from the fountain. I would ask the owner to please consider the actual cost to you per soda refill. A quick Google search says around 25 cents. You lost a customer over 25 cents. Edit: we spoke to the owner as we left and they stand by their policy and were quite rude to top it off. I support local business every opportunity I get, but with Subway across the road and Firehouse down a bit further, can you guys really afford to lose more customers over something as small as a soda? read more

While the food is OK, the management and customer service is terrible . I ordered a Cubans de Pavo which is a turkey and ham Cuban sandwich and ask them to hold the ham and they refused. I told him I don't want extra turkey I only want him to leave the ham off because I don't eat red meat. I've ordered it before a few months ago and no problem but they insisted they couldn't do that. You can add extra meat and pay for it and you can order any or all condiments but they won't leave off ham and still charge me the full price for the sandwich? What the heck is wrong with these people? The lady who took my order called the manager over and he backed her up and said they won't do it. I don't get it. I wasn't asking for extra anything just leave the ham off the sandwich. I said if I buy it as is all I would do is pick the ham off so why waste it? Still no. Unbelievable. I'll never go back. read more
