I had driven by this sub shop on several prior occasions but had never tried it because I am a big Jersey Mike's fan. Today, I was headed to the beach nearby and decided to finally give it a try. I'm so glad I finally tried it. It is located in a strip shopping center along A1A in Ponte Vedra. There were plenty of employees working, and the service was super fast. The place has plenty of indoor tables if you choose to eat there, and fun theming and pictures on the walls. There was also one table outside to sit at, which I opted to do. The menu is big, with about 30 different hot subs, as well as about 10 different cold subs. I ordered my favorite sub, the Italian Big One. All of their subs come in either 8 inches or 12 inches. The bread was soft and tasty. The sub itself had ham, salami, and pepperoni, as well as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and Italian dressing. It was a very good sub, and I will definitely return in the future. They also sell 3 foot and 6 foot subs, as well as deli platters and party trays. read more

I moved here from new york a couple of months ago. This happened to be near my office complex so I gave it a shot. Let me be clear: I am incredibly picky about sandwiches, primarily because most places use crappy meat. I ordered a chicken sub with melted cheese lettuce and mayo.. and let me say I was STUNNED at the quality of the chicken! Each slice has been perfect and I have literally eaten lunch every day since. All it takes is one unchewable chunk in my chicken to ruin it for life for me.. and these guys clearly take pride in making sure every slice is curated to avoid that horror taking place. The bread is great. The toppings solid. Very very very good food here! You will not regret eating here! Very tasty Cuban sub. Got 3 kids meals today for $4.99 each. The pizza sub, meatball (yum), and turkey all looked good. Came with cookie, pickle, and drink. Not too bad. I got a large Cuban which I thought would be 12", but looked to come up a couple inches short. End was cut so they must come in loaves longer than 12". I would have loved the extra inches because it was very tasty. $9.54 for the sub, but it was made with green ingredients. A lot of signs in-house telling how Larry's promotes clean, green foods. Before I talk about how disappointed I was with this place, I want to point out that there was a very nice and helpful employee who really stood out. I didn't get his name, but he was a young gentleman who was trying really hard and that was definitely appreciated. The other employee was a female who looked really annoyed at being there. Now, off to the rest. I had been seeing their very delicious looking posters of a gyro - they are plastered all over, both outside and inside. The family that owns this location are some of the nicest people you'll ever come across in the food service industry. They care about their customers and are exceptionally friendly (they've even been passing out free masks to customers, they don't require that customers wear a mask but how nice of them to think of their customers like that!). Importantly, I've always found the food to be fresh and the portions generous. Given my positive experience as a long-time regular customer, I can only conclude that the negative reviews here are either fake, posted by employees of a competitor or by someone that's just a habitual complainer. Literally if I could walk into any establishment and have the treatment that he gives us there would be no issues! He's is on point with his customer service and it really makes a huge difference! What's not to like about Larry's subs? They have a really good menu with a lot of different subs and bread options available. They offer gluten-free bread that's really pretty good. They have Drive Thru and late hours. They are very generous with the amount of meat that they put on their sandwiches. I like the fact that you can sit there and enjoy your lunch. Their soup offerings are really tasty as well as their salads. I do find that they're a little expensive. But, you get what you pay for. The restrooms are usually clean. The people are usually very quick and friendly. Parking is easy. I like Larry's subs. read more

I work across the street for This Larry's lactation, and have been coming here practically everyday for the last 2 years. I love their food, but most of all I love the employees. Particularly, the owners, who are such a polite and caring couple. They always go above and beyond, to ensure the customer is satisfied with their service. Rather than just buying the sub shop and hiring a full staff to run it, they have taken the hands on route. They are usually in the shop working with their other employees, and leading them by example, 6 days a week. Their hard work, and passion for the shop, is truly inspirational. If there is ever an issue with an order, they don't hesitate to make it right. If I could give them 10 stars. I would. Great food, awesome atmosphere, and an amazing staff. This place is terrible. This is my third awful experience here and it will be the last. I walked in wasn't greeted at all everyone just stared at us. Not even a smile. The guy ringing me up acted like he was about to kill himself. Everyone that worked there looked SO miserable. We waited 20 minutes to get our subs ( there was a whole line of people waiting while they slowly took their time while laughing and goofing around) and when we did our orders were completely wrong. Everything we asked not to be on there was on it anyways. And not to mention it's called Larry's giant subs and the subs are no where near even remotely large. The food wasn't bad. We do like their Cuban and the tuna melt. The experience at checkout was upsetting. I presume the owner took our order. We got one meal and one sandwich. We share a drink as we always do when we go out. The gentleman at checkout asked if I was drinking water, and I replied that no, I would share her drink. He responded that we wouldn't be able to get any refills from the fountain. I would ask the owner to please consider the actual cost to you per soda refill. A quick Google search says around 25 cents. You lost a customer over 25 cents. Edit: we spoke to the owner as we left and they stand by their policy and were quite rude to top it off. I support local business every opportunity I get, but with Subway across the road and Firehouse down a bit further, can you guys really afford to lose more customers over something as small as a soda? read more

While the food is OK, the management and customer service is terrible . I ordered a Cubans de Pavo which is a turkey and ham Cuban sandwich and ask them to hold the ham and they refused. I told him I don't want extra turkey I only want him to leave the ham off because I don't eat red meat. I've ordered it before a few months ago and no problem but they insisted they couldn't do that. You can add extra meat and pay for it and you can order any or all condiments but they won't leave off ham and still charge me the full price for the sandwich? The owner is just about as rude as he could be. He got my order wrong. When I asked him about it, he told me I ordered a sub that I had never even heard of. When I said no I ordered something else, he yelled at me and corrected me again telling me I ordered a sub I never heard of. I will never give this business my patronage again. No interest in making it right. No interest in doing anything but taking my money and getting me out the door. Absolute jerk. I see he likes to respond on Yelp and says he "will make it right"... he had no intention of making anything right or caring at all that HE misheard me.
