Seeing friendly faces and receiving a warm greeting is such a breath of fresh air upon arrival considering some that work at this location (San Jose Blvd) aren't as friendly as TJ, Lamar, and Shay are. And one in particular that doesn't speak at all when you come in or when you leave could benefit from some serious training regardless of his position. A BIG KUDOS to TJ, Lamar, and Shay. Went in on Saturday for lunch tried ordering through their kiosk for my wife and I and was having trouble because as soon she put her order in and I tried putting mine it would erase her order. the guy behind the counter who was watching wouldn't take our order. after 3 attempts we gave up and went to the Mexican place, Margaritas grill a few doors down and had a great lunch for same price just about. read more

I never know what the menu board will offer. Today's special is choice of medium sub with with roast beef, ham or turkey for $4.99. I usually get turkey or meatball subs but prefer Italian. The quality is so much better than other sub shops. Their new steak sub with beer cheese has been in test in Memphis where I used to live. Can't wait to try it in October! I haven't gone thru the drive in at their new location on Baymeadows but hope to soon. I can spend over an hour in traffic getting home from work. read more

I have mixed feelings about Firehouse Subs. The service is always good and the store is clean. They have a variety of different meats and sandwiches. They have the coke freestyle machines so you can have almost anything that coke makes customized to your taste buds and the sandwiches have good flavor. The bread is just okay, nothing special but not bad. The meats are fine, they taste like standard deli meats that are steamed which releases some flavor. The amount of meat on the sandwiches though is a bit disappointing. Charging over $6 for a sandwich with maybe 2.5 to 3 ounces of meat is a lot. I think pretty much every other sub restaurant in town gives you more meat. For the price of Firehouse I can go to Publix or subway and get a sandwich with more flavor on bread that was freshly baked in store. Firehouse is something I may go to once in a while but it will not be on my frequented restaurant list. read more

They were quite busy late this afternoon when my friend and I went there for lunch after car shopping. Unfortunately they were very short staffed, having two people called in for the day. I have to commend the staff because despite the large number of people there and being shortstaffed, they maintain a positive attitude, a working together team effort, and they were upfront and apologetic to the customers. They did not make excuses they did the best they could and for that I give them five stars. read more

"Welcome to Firehouse Suuuuubs" comes right at you as you walk in. Smiling faces and busy workers all working hard. The cashier was very sweet and polite. I can say this was friendly service. The tables were all freshly wiped clean when I sat down to wait for my sandwich and the floors were clean. Overall, I'm happy with the cleanliness of this establishment because some places don't always take pride. I thought it was great to see the manager right behind the counter making sandwiches and overlooking his employees to ensure they were doing the right thing. Very disappointed by this Firehouse Subs!! This is the first time I've been to this location and the last. I ordered the Smokehouse Brisket and it was very skimpy on the brisket so much so the last 25% of my bread was meatless and that's AFTER I spread out the meat. My sons bacon ranch sandwich was a little hard more generous with the meat but it was very sloppy put together and his too did not have meat on the last 25% of his bread but a least there was enough meat to even out the sandwich. Very Very Disappointed in this Firehouse Location; avoid this location, drive the extra couple miles for a different location!!! read more

The place was half full and I saw quite a few table numbers still outstanding and that should have been my first hint to turn and run. Loving Firehouse, I ordered anyways. I currently see 3 employees shuffling about with no sense of urgency or purpose. Finally, after 20 minutes, I now have my sandwich. I'm frankly appalled that a business can survive with such poor focus on customer service. And if any employee wants to comment on how the business has a focus on quality and can't be quick and anything else like that, save it. Your comments are worthless lip service. A review 5 months prior to this one described the terribly slow service and a rep said they would look into the issue. Well, nope! Same issue months later. read more

I came to this sub shop because is just off of san jose and pall mall dr. Very near my neck od the woods. I like firehouse. I looked at the menu and saw the name of some old names on the subs. Hook and ladder and other names. I ordered for me and my father and it seems to me that each sub is around 10 dlls which makes it a little bit price. Well the two subs with soda and chips came to around 26 dlls. ( i did not get chips). But anyway. The ham was really good. My philly cheese stake was very plain. I guess i did not order sautee mushrooms or extra cheese and i was dissapointed. I guess sometime ill try them again. I cannot complain about how clean is the shop. Very clean. read more

Seriously. Delicious! Second best is the smokehouse beef brisket and cheese sub. So good and the meat is quality product that's been smoked for hours. I met the owners recently who explained the process. I don't drink soda but for soda lovers, Firehouse offers the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine which serves up 100+ flavor mixes. You can mix orange soda with Diet Coke or add flavored waters together to create a new flavor. Great for kids. The endless hot sauce options, including Captain Sorensen's datil sauce, are a great addition to Firehouse. There are mild varieties and super hot choices for the extra-daring sub-goers. read more

I love the subs at Firehouse. The ingredients are always fresh, and always taste amazing. But, this store in particular is by far one of the best locations I have been to. The restaurant is always very clean but, most of all every last person on the staff at this location has the best personality, and it's always service with a smile. They are happy to answer any questions you may have, and always, every single time come to your table to make sure you are enjoying your lunch and if you need anything. Not to mention within the first few weeks of frequenting this location everyone of the staff remembered me by name. Now, a few months later they ask if I want my usual, and if so, they remember my order better than I do! I Highly recommend this location for a quick, and excellent lunch. read more

It's firehouse! Of course they are delicious! This location is always really patient with me as I look upon their menu and I contemplate about trying other subs. All for a waste of time because I end up getting their hook and ladder every time! This location is always clean in the dining area and staff is very accommodating about putting subs on separate trays whenever I am sharing. So why the 4 stars? Well my pet peeve is when I go to the bathroom and there is no soap! Yuck! Luckily I know they have sinks closer to the prep areas but still, no excuse to let patrons walk out of the restroom with dirty hands. read more

I stopped in to grab dinner on my way home from work, and I had a terrible experience. The customer service was awful. The two girl servers laughed in my face at a question of mine about the rewards program, and then spent my entire visit making passive aggressive comments toward me and my question. I still can't believe it, and I don't appreciate being insulted. I work close by, but servers at nearby Tropical Smoothie, Five Guys, and Zaxbys are awesome, so that's where I'll take my business from now on when I want to pick up something after work. read more
