I asked to speak with the owner, and was told he would reach out to me. That has not taken place to this day, was told my money would not be returned. I have done business with this shop over the last 10 years. Never had problems in the past. Quality of work is greatly lacking, and the value is over the top. I recommend not taking your vehicle to this place. Actually took it back just last week for the same issue, and they come up with additional charges of $4,000. Never mind the first issues still are present. I have worked with the same repair guy in the past, Nguyen, and he seems to know his business well. I can tell the difference in the turnover of management. This experience did not sit well with me. Just a heads up, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE to this place. Bo Thomas

Got me checked in, confirmed what service I wanted, then gave me an ETA of how long it'd take (~45 mins). There were 3 other customers in the store but the parking lot was full! I was a little reluctant that the estimated time was accurate, but it was on point! The waiting area was roomy and had a TV and fridge with complementary water! It was clean and didn't smell of a mechanic shop (which doesn't usually bother me, but just sharing in case it does bother someone else...). Car got service, I checked out and was on my way. I upgraded for the lifetime alignment and they gave me a $20 discount so I feel like I walked away with a steal of a deal--taxes and all included I paid about $192 (for lifetime alignment!)! I'd totally recommend this place if you're looking for an alignment. You can schedule an appointment online and minimize your wait, but they get through servicing the cars pretty quickly! Both guys who help me were really nice and personable and didn't push extra services on me (which I appreciate cause I'm not about that extra life...I've got my brother for that...lol).

He's truly honest, has affordable pricing, and absolutely no nickel and diming on issues that do not need to be fixed. I went to Auto-Scan once before and had the motor mount replaced. No complaints. Since then, I went to Sun Automotive for a routine oil change. BIG mistake (see my review under Sun Automotive for details). I learned not to go back to those big talking auto shops and stick to the real mechanic that truly cares about getting your vehicle running safely and not hurting your wallet! Corey was able to remove the dipstick that was broken inside (after the oil change at Sun Automotive ) without having to replace the entire unit....saved me a few hundred $$. He also referred Houston Automatic Transmission for a transmission rebuild. Took about a week, but the best price in town. When your mechanic refers them, please listen. They stick to that price, and their work! I'll be taking my car to Corey at Auto-Scan from now on! Routine maintenance and all!

When I got their diagnosis report, one thing stood out to me... my spark plugs? I had just gotten those fixed... interesting! I went to my usual mechanic, Nolls Auto, for a second opinion. He called me and explained that I only needed to replace a screw on the coolant hose--not the entire system, as they suggested. My rear shocks, struts, and spark plugs were also in perfect condition. This clearly shows that Sun Auto is dishonest and fraudulent. I called them twice for clarification, but the manager never returned my calls. They also charged me $165 for their fraudulent diagnosis. Their tactics are shady. I recommend finding a different, more trustworthy mechanic.
