I brought the car to Thunderbolt, and they check out the transmission and found it was not the problem. They found the problem was a bad wheel bearing, which was recently. I took the car back to the shop who originally replaced the bearing and had it fixed under warranty. Thunderbolt was very accommodating, and while they could have replaced the wheel bearing, they agreed I should take it back to the shop who originally replaced it. Their honesty and good advice is refreshing. I recommend Thinderbolt, and I expect they will take care of you, as they took great care of me!

About three years ago, Thunderbolt rebuilt the original engine in my 1971 Chevy Vega and did a great job. The original quote was for the standard items in any rebuild and it was clearly stated that after the tear down the price could go up if it was discovered that more work was needed to be done. I understood this and only a ignoramus would not. My price did go up because more was needed but it was perfectly legit. I used to own a body shop and had the same issue. You make your best guess on what is needed with a visual inspection but after the tear down in almost all cases more damage was discovered. The insurance adjusters knew this but the idiot customer would push back, like they are here.

Their great reviews about being treated fairly and "like family" was really what brought me in. I wanted to believe in a car repair shop again. Not everyone is out to bleed you dry. My car had been having some really rough muffler sounds that escalated over time .. so I brought it into Cliff himself (sweetest nicest man ever!) and he referred me to another shop that handles mufflers since my issue was a small one. Cliff could have handled it there but the OEM repair would have been too expensive and unreasonable when I can just get a quick weld job at a nearby muffler shop. Cliff did not charge me a dime for that first visit, to check my car or anything!! Wow! I was very grateful to him and vowed to return business again. The following week I returned my car to get some Maint eve work done, tune up, etc. and it was just as pleasant! Shanna helped me in setting up a loaner while my car was in the shop and they were even faster than what originally thought! She is very sweet to deal with and super nice. Seems like everyone here are just good people. I don't know about you but if there's anything I would wish for is doing business with good people like this!! Great job guys and I will be surely returning for all my car repair needs :)

I'll get straight to the point, they are pricey but man the value and quality is on point. Legit, if you are a car guy/girl we are very insecure about other ppl handling our cars. I don't feel one oz of that when I come here. I believe I've been here twice already for pretty much the important fluid change, gear/transmission, etc done. Reason is they have a combo of fluid to get rid of the crappy harsh grinding when I shift from 2nd-3rd gear. I also had my cmc replaced here. I believe I got the maperformance one, and they replaced it like in 4-5hrs I think. No more brake fluid leak... one thing I wish they would have done was grease the clutch pedal.... It took me a while to figure why it squeal so much. If you have an Evo they are like experts for this platform. I highly recommend them for your peace of mind if you don't know what you're doing.
