I can honestly say I finally found that with May and his team. My little sister's car had been leaking coolant and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. May and his team were able to find the problem right away, explained what was going on, and gave me their recommendations without trying to sell me on unnecessary repairs. You can tell they are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what they're doing. The price was also very reasonable, especially for the quality of work and service they provided. It gave me peace of mind knowing the car was being taken care of the right way. Exceptional mechanic I'm honestly blown away by the professionalism of this shop. I hired them to replace 3 struts on my 2014 Lexus GS and this was equal to dealership quality for a much lower price. The shop is a little far out but you would save so much money by bringing your car here. I also hired them to replace my front pads assuming it was time and regardless of me being more than willing to move forth with the purchase the owner was honest enough to check and explain my pads had 70% more life left.... This is by far, the most honest mechanic i have ever met and dealt with! He doesn't charge you an arm and a leg for services that you don't need! I have been going to shops like louetta automotive, driver's ( the worse place you could take your car to). Once you go to these shops and they tell you you've got some repairs needed to your engine or a/c or whatever sales tactic they tell you, bring these papers and your car to this place, not only that he would tell you what's wrong with your car, he will SHOW you and point out one by one what the other shop told you you needed repair that didn't need any. He maintains all my cars. I drive an audi Q7 and an RS7. going to the dealer is a lot worse. finally i don't have to spend thousands of $$$$$ to maintain my cars! Moving to Texas from out of state with a high mileage SUV brought with it a concern of finding the cliche "honest mechanic." We were searching and found in our subdivision's community page positive feedback on May and Angels Express Auto Service. The decision was made to try him out. I am so glad we did. We have taken our 2012 Expedition to him twice since December (once for brake work and then more recently for a busted fan motor / burned pigtail connectors in the headlights) and have been 110% satisfied both times. This most recent time he (free of charge) was checking the fluid levels of everything and noticed our coolant was very low. It turns out he found a leak we did not even know about and was probably mere weeks or even days away from causing a complete engine overheat!!! He did not just tell me about the leak, he requested I come over and he went through the entire pressure test, explained to me what he was doing, where the leak was (it was obvious) and the consequences not fixing it could bring. Sound like an up sell or fleecing? NO!!! While it fits the definition of an up sell, based on the price and turnaround time for him to fix this (super cheap and VERY fast ... less than a day to find parts and fix and clean all ignition coils where it had leaked onto the engine) this was May being May and simply looking out for his customer. Oh, and did I mention he cleaned under the hood to where it looks like a brand new car? Steamed it, he said. It looks incredible - probably as nice or nicer than we bought it. I didn't ask for that service - he just did it and did NOT charge for it. Same thing with the oil change. He found an issue with one of the bolts and just fixed it - no charge. He saw it, it was an easy fix, so he did it. You think he is just doing that to ensure I become a long time loyal customer? Well guess what? Little things like that are EXACTLY what keep people choosing him over anyone else. Let me say this: we came to May as complete strangers and were immediately treated like customers who had been coming there for years. He is very good at communicating what he is doing. He is extremely fair in pricing (the cheapest labor costs we have ever come across). His turnaround time is incredible given the volume of customers. He is also extremely knowledgeable and has the right equipment at his disposal to address both the mechanical and computer issues. To top it all of he is just a nice guy, working a forty hour week for a livin', just to send it on down the line. I personally want to thank May for his time, his effort, and for going above and beyond on everything he has done for us. I can guarantee we will be back with our next automotive need.
