Larry's Auto Parts located in the Hawaii Kai shopping center . Since I had business at the Sattlelite City I decided to stopped in Larry' s Auto Parts. Very small location compared to the Kaimuki location . Although lots of inventory available. I was looking for a clear plastic holder for a car registration. Walked up an aisle and there it was . There was two types to choose from one that you can clip to your sun visor. The other you can just leave in your glove box . Support local read more

Daryl at Larry's NAPA is so On-It - he's exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! My dad and I have been shopping here for many many years ...even at the old location. I just wanted to give him a shout out - it makes maintaining my vehicle less intimidating and approaching some of these tasks with ease and confidence. Grateful for this store and employees such as him! It's a smaller store near Roy's - but has basically everything I always needed and if not, they would order it and be very efficient with the order! Please support this store read more

Vern was amazing. Came out to check my battery. Said I didn't need a new one, just trickle charge the old one. Very honest answer and great help in picking out a charger, which I've been needing. Went above the call of duty. Mahalo,Rob(like a train) read more

Kinda disappointed with the service crew here. One guy on the phone taking story and laughing. The other grouchy guy with the glasses (maybe Portuguese) looking on the computer while I stood there obviously needing help. I eventually scoured the whole store looking for the item. I came back and interrupted his busy computer stare and asked him for the item. He pointed and said should be there. If not we don't have it. WTH Captain Obvious? You obviously saw me standing there waiting while you stared away. Anyways, the original Mr. Larry on Beretania Street wouldn't condone such bad service. read more

Kenny was so helpful. Friendly customer service! Truly appreciate his assistance with changing out my window wipers. They were a pain to get off, bc the salty air, but Kenny never gave up, and got the job done! Always always support local and I'm glad they are located close to home. Thanks for the great work!! read more

This place is AMAZING! I went in for wiper blades and got the full service. I don't know if it was because I was there at opening when no one else does or if Darrel is always that nice. Maybe he has a "honey do" list at home from his wife and was trying to save my husband a job, but I bought the blades and he put them on for me!!! He actually went outside the store and installed my new wipers and took the old ones away. 5 star service - love this place - made my morning! read more

I did have to go back for a car battery and what a different experience I had. Only one person working and one in line. I had a good talk with him about the battery I needed and he was helpful and I was on my way in minutes. Maybe depends on who's working the front. read more

I came to Larry's Auto Parts to buy a car battery. My truck hasn't been driven in a while and the battery was so dead and corroded. Plus it was time for my safety check. First I went to Costco to get a battery but they said they discontinued the batteries for my truck. I have a 96 pickup so I don't blame them. They said to try Larry's. I went there hoping that they would have my battery and they did. When you buy a battery you also pay for disposal. I asked him advice on how to get rid of the corrosion and he told me a mixture to brush on the area. He was very helpful and put the battery in my car and I went home to try his concoction. It worked and I was able to get the contact points for the battery shiny and not corroded anymore. My truck was able to start with the new battery. I returned back to the shop with my battery and he was helpful to help me take it out of my truck. Very good customer service and I would definitely come back here again. read more

Larry's is a very small NAPA auto parts store and the selection is somewhat limited. However, the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to help me quickly to get what I needed and a very helpful explanation on how to install my product. read more

Above and beyond service!!! I am thankful for Larry's auto shop especially to the cashier (sorry I didn't get his name ) for helping me take out the nail in my tire. I am really really grateful for helping a clueless girl like me on how to properly use a tire patched and for voluntarily patching my tire. Thank you so much for saving me!!!!#forevergratefulforyourkindness!! read more

They do not accept returns on electrical parts. It does not state that anywhere on my receipt. Poor poor customer service in my opinion. If you can afford to drive to Autozone in Kaimuki, I highly recommend the drive, plus it will be way cheaper. I will NEVER buy anything from Larry's napa again. If I could I would give negative stars read more

The phone call was pleasant and helpful, when i arrived it was a much different story. The guy who answered the phone was not the guy who rang me up. I spend most of my time keeping PTSD from ripping through my sanity and as a former Marine with trauma issues I like to weave a smile and a joke as often as I can so I am not compelled to rip through the sanity of another. The Haole who rang me up was incredibly disrespectful and I am in a full on RAGE! The Makaha in me wants to tear through his disrespect with an equal dose of hostility. Be mindful of your service. When you punch in to work leave your BS at home. Todays disrespect was completely unwarranted and unwanted. After I return this battery core I will NEVER visit this location again and will be sure to pass on his trespass every chance this Napa location comes across my conversations. Small island read more

I expected horrible service from these types of auto supply stores. Your typical grumpy employees sitting behind the computers looking for parts all day with zero customer service skills. This location does not disappoint. The workers here are grumpy and have zero customer service. I guess they deal with cheap customers all day long, who don't want to take their vehicles in to a shop to get it fixed. I must say this place has a lot of parking but it's a super small store and they don't stock much. Mostly everything is special order from their local warehouse. If you like to work on your vehicle your self and like lousy customer service and waiting for parts to come in then this is the auto parts store for you. read more

Anyone looking for HOSPITAL grade, 80% ethanol alcohol hand sanitizers? It also says its WHO, CDC, and FDA compliant. How can you go wrong? Larry's has them!! They're limiting the amount you can purchase which helps curb hoarders from buying them all at one time. I was told that it is a bit more liquidy than gel so be careful when pumping it out. They have smaller bottles you can dispense the gallon size into for more convenient portion size. I'm thankful they were able to bring them in. Looking online myself, its hard to find a necessary item at a reasonable price. The shipping alone would cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks Larry's!! read more

I go here everytime I need to change my wipers. They go out and make the change in the parking lot. Nice- low-key staff.

Employees are VERY helpful & also ordered an item from another location, called to let me know it came in the same day! Highly recommend! Excellent customer service! read more

$60+ for a gallon of 80% ethanol based hand sanitizer is outrageous. Ethanol wholesales for approx $3/gallon. I realize businesses need to make a profit to stay afloat, but this is straight up price gouging. Shame on Larry Auto Parts to do this during a time of a pandemic. Forwarding this to the DCCA. read more

WTF No one reviewed the best auto parts store in Hawaii Kai? LOL It's the only one! Really there are no others. That being said, they do not act like it. The staff here is very helpful and like in the old days will help customers make sure they have the right parts even to the point of going out to the parking lot to make sure. The older of the staff is especially knowledgeable and helpful. I don't know his name and will surely get it and post it here. (His name is Darrell or Daryl. I didn't ask him how he spells it. 5/30/13) When you go in for a part make sure you know: 1) Make, e.g. Ford, 2) Model, e.g. Mustang Fastback, 3) Year, e.g. 1965-1/2, and 4) Engine size, e.g. 289ci, (5.0L) HP Yeah, you can go to Long's or Walgreens and get stuff cheaper, like engine oil, windshield fluid, etc. but in the long run it's good to develop a relationship with people who will be there to help you out of a jam. read more

I am happy Napa has reopened in Hawaii Kai. It is now located next to the police station and Central Pacific Bank. The store is smaller than its previous location, but it is cleaner and feels a lot more comfortable. I've been here several times already within the past few weeks. The alternator and then the starter died in my dad car. Yes, very disheartening, so I'm glad that the employees there at Napa were very helpful, informative, and showed a high level of concern about my car issues. If you need an alternator or a starter, I highly recommend buying one at Napa because there's a LIFETIME warranty on them. Even if you're planning to take it to the shop, buy the part yourself first. read more

My car battery died in the parking lot on my way to the DMV. Not only did Wes, successfully diagnose the issue from my very vague description but he came out, tested my battery, let me buy a new one and put it in for me. Prior to that he had also offered to just give me a jump. Daryl was also stellar, ran the store while Wes ran out to help me. Absolutely amazing, incredible service. These dudes are on it, they know their shit, and way above and beyond for customer service. Many thanks, for everything! read more

my car is a 2022 corolla. And Although it's a pretty new car, I had a hunch my battery was going to go. Small kind of hesitation on the start up. I figured maybe because i did a lot of door dash that i burned out the battery. I had tested my battery at home and it registered as "replace battery". I took it Larrys Auto parts (NAPA) and theirs also tested the same result. I didn't get the guy's name, but he took the effort of testing it. I was able to crank it up 2 times with no problem. But when he walked back inside my car would not start. So i was thinking how fortunate of my car to die right in front of their store. I bought the battery for $195 and had a hard time installing it especially with all the new electronics that the corolla has. Daryl came out with no hesitation and installed it for me. He was very patient. I tried to pay him some money but he wouldn't take it. I owe it to him. I didn't expect him to help me that way, but he did. thank you Daryl very much. You've made my day! read more

So today I ordered online some air filters for my vehicles and I'm happy to see on the website it says "buy online, pickup in store in 30 mins". After I paid online I recieved a confirmation email. I placed the order 8:30am, so Im expecting I can get an email in 30 mins saying my order is ready for pickup. But 12noon comes, no email still so I called to know whats going on but no one answered. I then called later at 4:15pm twice. Second time I called someone answered and told me to pls hold. I waited an hour but no one come back so I ended the call. Dude, so I'm in the mood to wash my cars and I need supplies. I head over to Larry's because a name like Larry he must know car stuff. Everyone is wearing masks (me and two employees), the phone rang a lot during my visit and the music in the store was 80s pop! I'm loving it! I ask the employee about cleaning selections the oil recommendations for an older car and my current SUV and the whole time the employee was so genuine and supportive I didn't feel silly for asking. These guys are amazing and I appreciate the guidance. Mahalo plenty! read more

I purchased a rear windshield wiper and asked if installation was difficult. The young gentleman working there asked if I brought my car, he can install it for me! With joy I went outside to my car, just as I got to my car it started to rain, and the heavy pouring of the rain continued as I moved my car closer to the curve side of the store. my hope was the rain would stop soon and the staff would be able to help me with the wiper installation. Next thing I knew, the staff came out in the rain and quickly changed the windshield wiper! I am very impressed with their customer service ethics and deeply appreciative for the staffs help. Wish I had gotten his name. Thank you very much! read more

Super knowledgable and always helpful. Never too busy to talk and give some guidance. They have always given me good tips and shared the tricks of the trade. Only 4 or 5 stars because some prices are relatively high but better to shop local whenever possible. read more

Tucked away in a corner store of Hawaii Kai Town Center, Larry's Auto Parts is a small store packed with great auto parts and tools. More importantly, the staff is really KNOWLEDGEABLE and helpful. Every time I have gone in and asked a question, they took the time to look up an answer if they already didn't know it off of the top of their heads. If they did not have a part in stock, they offered to order it or transfer it from one of their other stores. So, sadly, I have to report the LAP in Hawaii Kai is closing on April 17, 2014, leaving Hawaii Kai without an auto parts store. They lost their lease so another RESTAURANT could open. Just what we don't need in Hawaii Kai - another pseudo-trendy Asian fusion/confusion style cuisine posing as a supporter of local, organic farmers. read more

I just wanted to say a big mahalo to the staff that helped me yesterday with installing my rear window wiper. I'm sorry to say I didn't get his name but I am so grateful, he went above and beyond to get my stubborn wiper arm off so he could put on the new one to replace my almost shredded blade. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and persistent in coaxing the part off without damaging anything. I didn't realize it would take so much time and effort but he remained courteous and determined, even getting different tools to get the job done. I am deeply appreciative of the time and service that this gentleman at Larry's provided. I will definitely recommend this location and will be back whenever I need anything. read more

Called Larry's to see if they had a battery for my gf's car in stock. I was only expecting a yes/no answer, but they gave me 3 types with different warranties and prices. Clayton was so grumpy rude and unpleasant when I needed help. I decided I wont be returning there again.

The only real problem I have with this location is that it's closed on sundays. I mean, why would you close on a day of the week where most people are working on their cars?? We need more auto parts dealers in HK besides this store and they need to be open on Sundays. I always have to drive to O'Reillys all the way in town or in Kaneohe just to get parts for my truck whenever I work on it on the weekend and sometimes it can be a real hassle. read more
