I replaced carpet with hickory hardwood in two rooms. The sales staff, estimator, and Bill and his team that installed it were all great to work with and professional. I'm very happy with the result, they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Larry Lint, this is the second time I've used their service. read more

Well I tried to give Larry Lint time to fix this but after many calls and promises to come and take a look nothing has been resolved. This floor was installed about 5 years ago but the grout started to deteriorate at about 1 year and just keeps getting worse. I can actually chip away the grout with my keys. They obviously don't stand behind their work. Buyer beware. read more

After my measure, no one followed up with me. I sent an email which wasn't responded to. I went into the store and selected another flooring product. I called in and was told I would receive a call back. Never happened. Went to a competitor. read more

I had wall to wall carpeting installed almost 5 years ago and I am still pleased with the results. My only real issue is that I had to remove all of nails that were in my hard wood floors myself before having the new carpet installed. I was told that if I didn't remove the old nails/staples, the heads/tops would be cut off and the metal stems would forever remain in the wood. This would have created a problem if I ever decided that I wanted to refinish my hard wood floors, so I'm glad they told me up front. read more

NEVER use them They estimated my room, because of the holiday the could do it before xmas. I asked that I would have my contractor install it. Picked up the product had one full box left over. took the full box to return and they would not accept it. But told me that they would of taken it back if they installed It was their fault because he over estimated . read more

Office staff seem very unorganized and not in contact or sync with sales staff. Workers that came out smelled like weed and were BLASTING their music during install. When finished, some baseboards were splintered but they were "already that way." read more

Ordered a very SMALL amount of flooring for our bathroom. We were told it would take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive for us to pick up. 30 days later, our contractor was ready to install it w/in a couple days and we were asked to check on it - we were told on a Friday - that it was "on the truck" and would be there Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week. Wednesday came and still no floor - OR A CALL SAYING WE WOULD NOT GET IT WHEN WE WERE TOLD. I was then told that the floor was on backorder and that was what the hold up was. They did end up delivering it free of charge on the day the contractor needed it - however, we should have been warned that it was on backorder. We LOVE the floor but next time I order for pickup, I'll make sure I order it much sooner and will follow up on the order more frequently. I'm mostly disappointed in the lack of customer service and follow up from them. read more

Was in the market to get new flooring done in my living and dining room. Just to give you an idea my room sizes are 12x17 and 11x11. Contacted Molyneaux and Larry Lint for estimates. Molyneaux came in extremely high, double of what LL quoted me. I have nothing against Molyneaux but being a single independent, it's hard to justify spending double the amount. Not only that, Larry Lint provided me with an itemized breakdown on the quote so I knew what the costs where, while Molyneaux gave me a flat number. My family has used LL most of my life and with this being my first home I decided to give them a chance as well. I went with the Shaw Classico Antico Vinyl and I couldn't be more happy. LL even came a week earlier than scheduled. Arrived on time at 830 AM and ripped up the carpet and everything with it along with the laminate in the dining room. They had a three man crew that acted professionally and got the job done just before 5PM as planned, in & out. Did an excellent job with the reducers as well as shoe mold to finish it up. I would highly recommend them for future jobs. I have a few pictures added. Unfortunately, I know the before is kind of already a mess in terms of moving the furniture but just wanted to give an idea as to what the space looked like previously. read more

Not a fan. Will never use them again. Built a custom home. Our carpet split at the seams - throughout the house. Had to have it replaced - which Shaw and Lint agreed to. But also ... The linoleum in our kitchen and entry way pulled up on the seams not once but THREE times. It bubbled which enabled my dog to chew, so Shaw and Lint customer service used that as an excuse to deny ALL claims and would not replace the flooring. Even though it pulled up BEFORE we ever had the dog. We had to find someone else to replace our floors - costing $$$ and he said the linoleum wasn't even glued to the ground. It pulled up very easily PROVING poor quality product or poor installation. Either way - it was their error - WE paid for. read more

My first impression was terrible. I would never do business with this company. I was looking for carpet and tile for my bathroom/bedroom remodel. I checked their website and was interested in visiting their store. The website said they were open until 9pm on Mondays and Thursdays. I arrive at their store at approximately 7:45pm on a Thursday and state we are looking for carpeting/tile and would like to see your selection. They told me that they close at 8pm and that I had come in too late to accomplish what I came for. I said oh I'm sorry, I drove approximately one hour to come to your store thinking your hours were until 9pm as your website states. They said our website says our hours are until 8pm on Thursdays you must be mistaken. I pulled the website up on my phone and showed them that it clearly says they are open until 9pm. Larry the owner says that I couldn't ne on their website because they close at 8pm. I handed them my phone and one of the ladies working the front desk said Larry it is our website that he is on. That didn't change anything, I still had to leave by 8pm and could not see what selection they had. I asked if they could provide me an incentive to come back another day to look at their selection because the website informed me wrong and I had now wasted 2 hours of my evening and they said sorry our hours are until 8pm and they people who manage the website are at fault not us. read more

This place is a joke. Larry Lint couldn't be more unprofessional and both he and his staff are dishonest people who seem to work hard at scamming customers. My husband and I went to his shop in May. After driving over an hour, we looked at carpeting and picked a few samples to take home. We chose a carpet that was $30 a yard and we also chose to replace our kitchen floor. It took a few weeks for the estimator to make it to our home. Once he did I called the shop to place my order. I told the woman who answered that I wanted to pay in full. While she pulled the paperwork I asked her if it was OK that I still had several renovations to do and would not be ready for anything to be installed for a few months. She said that I could either wait, or allow things to sit in their warehouse. I asked which she recommended. She said to wait. I had my debit card in my hand while I was speaking to her. I specifically asked her if I ran the risk of the quote changing and the prices to go up. She said NO. On that note I waited about a month then called back to place my order. Guess what? Prices changed. They went up. Way up! $6 more a yard to be exact. I spoke to several staff members trying to get them all to understand that they should honor the original quote. One girl remarked that the carpeting I chose wasn't even "expensive" so I should basically get over it, and another, Ric, kept talking about another carpet (that we didn't ask for) a son's room we don't have (we have no children) and how they purchase tickets off my father. My father has been dead over 20 years and never sold tickets. I have no idea what he was talking about. After calling back a few times and Ric speaking to Larry Lint, Larry said he would NOT honor the quote. Larry Lint also claimed the carpeting was never that price (we still have the swatch with the $30 a yard sticker right on it) and that frankly if we wanted to go with him we would be paying over $500 more. I firmly believe that they knew they were going to raise their prices which is why the women told my not to order it the day I wanted to. No one even apologized for what had happened and everyone was extremely rude. When I mentioned I would be writing a review to add to other negative reviews I've seen online I was informed that their "attorneys monitor the internet closely for reviews" and would sue me for slander. This place is awful! There are far too many great companies out there to even consider going with these dishonest, confused, disorganized, unethical people. PS: their attorneys must be very busy because reviews for Larry Lint aren't good. And that's putting it mildly. read more

My husband and I drove about thirty minutes (even though there are closer chain stores) because my parents have had a good experience with them in the past. On their website, they specify that they carry several lines of cork and bamboo flooring. They do not. When we first arrive, the sales woman at the front desk sighed loudly before asking if she could help us. Then she tells us they don't carry bamboo because "Larry hates to install it". We asked about cork and she looked at us like we were crazy. We explained that they profess to sell several brands (and we used our smart phone on their site to tell her about the brands) and she had no idea what we were talking about. When she called the foreman/manager to ask him (while making stabbing motions through the phone; not quite a consummate professional), he said they didn't have cork and "It's on the website because we can get anything we want. Everything is on the website". He finally went into the back room and came out with two samples of bamboo - not at all the variety we had asked about, but apparently all that they had. He also spent several minutes trying to tell us why we didn't want it (we had it installed in a previous home and it was wonderful). We were prepared to use Larry Lint to supply all of the floors in the home we are currently designing with our architect - a home that could easily be featured in modern architecture magazines when it is complete. No thank you - I could never recommend them. Rude, unprofessional, and unprepared to supply anything other than the most conventional materials. We will be using Rusmur floors in Monroeville instead (who stock 27 different types of cork, not to mention bamboo). read more
