This was the second time I did an escape room. It was a lot of fun. It's located on Main Street so make a day of it by going to lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants close by. We did the "Inquisition" escape room, which could be scary for little kids. Jasbir was wonderful guiding us when we needed clues. Lara's Labyrinth has very fun escape rooms for people of all experience levels! I would highly recommend going with a group of at least 4 people. One of the rooms I did was with a group of 7 people which was fine since we all were good friends and family but might have been a little uncomfortable with a group I wasn't as close with since it was a little snug at times. We did not enjoy this escape room. Not only were things not working correctly, we had workers in and out of our room making it not feel special as if we are trapped ' right ?!?! So they could help us fix or adjust what wasn't working right for us. anyways ending was anticlimactic as well in the end, we just had a worker come in and say this is the end sorry the recorder isn't working to say you solved it or whatever. These kids had no idea what they were in for! For my daughters birthday, she wanted to do something with her friends but not the usual bowling, movies or anything like that. They wanted some excitement! So I searched around and found Laras Labyrinth! This escape room featured 4 different themes and looked so cool. I showed the kids, and they were in! They chose the jail themed room (Cell block 4), where they got to dress up as inmates in orange jumpsuits and get locked up in jail cells. The mission was to discover clues and find ways to escape and break free from the jail cells. Even though they were timed and the suspense had them at the edge of their seats,they were able to ask for help during the session. A worker who sat outside the room had a microphone and cameras to keep them safe at all times while they were "locked up." Even though it was challenging, they worked together as a team and accomplished to escape. They had so much fun and wanted to come back to try the other rooms. As an adult, they offer BYOB, so I'll definitely be back with my friends for an adventure as well. What a different and cool place to have some fun! They loved it, and so did I. Super fun birthday activity! We got 6 friends to participate in an Escape Room- we did the Cell Block 4 one which we learned was the hardest. It was a lot of fun and very intense and mildly creepy for me actually as the room is darker for the ambiance). Great team building though and was my first Escape Room experience which I enjoyed. You're able to get clues along the way and the worker watches to make sure you're on the right track if you struggle so you're not spinning your wheels. Their new room "Heart of Bastet" is an exact replica of an Egyptian room we already played at another escape room company. I get it- sometimes you have to buy designs from other companies. But they just handle it poorly. They changed the name and have no indication on their website that it's a duplicate of another companies room. When we arrived and quickly realized that we have already played this exact room, they just kind of ignored us. I reached out to management- a week with no response. I don't like giving negative reviews- it just feels like the whole thing was handled with a 'oh well, we already have your money' attitude. read more

We did the BeWitched room and it was one of the most unique and fun escape room experiences I've done. What was different about it was that one of the staff members (her name was Cyncier) was an important character who we had to interact with in order to get certain items to escape. She performed her role very well and stayed in character the whole time. They have a G, PG-13, and R-rated version of this room that decides how this character interacts with you. We chose PG-13 and I think Cyncier did a great job in yelling at us and making fun of us without causing any permanent emotional scars in our group! read more

Group of six did the Curse of Osiris room. Overall, good theming and environment. We enjoyed the amenities of the waiting area including the vintage Nintendo. The staff was nice and accommodating. We were, however, a little disappointed with the complexity of the room and the difficulty of the puzzles, we finished in just over a half an hour (with one hint) and left having been expecting more out of the room. I think for beginners, this room would be really good, however, if you are a more experienced group this room may lack challenge. read more

We did the BeWitched room it was so much fun. High-quality setup very interactive. This was the best escape room I've been to. Customer service was awesome. We are on vacation and meant to book for the same day. We accidentally booked a different day. They were very accommodating and allowed us to change the day with a 30-minute notice. I've never made a yelp review until now. This place seems relatively so I guess that's why there aren't many reviews. But this escape room was INCREDIBLE! Took a group of youth group student here and we all had a blast. We did cell block and dragonlore. The puzzles were very well thought out and had a fun theme. Our one group of students got out of dragonlore but our group in cell block wasn't as lucky :( Regardless, we had a lot of fun. Their rooms are very well made - movie like. Almost felt like I was actually stuck in a cell! Also, the staff were all very nice and helpful when booking and during the game. Looking forward to coming again! read more

This was my first escape room and I had an absolute blast! I was blown away by the detail and architecture of of the dragon escape room. It was challenging but our escape master, Thomas, gave subtle hints along the way. He gave us a sneak peak into the available rooms and they are all SO well designed. I've visited here several times. I played the Sheepshank Prison escape room with friends, hosted my daughter's birthday party in the Dragonborne castle escape room, brought my son to play Dragonborne with friends, and brought both kids to a party at the Harry Potter wand-making event. Each time, we had outstanding customer service, and the kids and adults had so much fun! The themed escape rooms are very well done and challenging. The game masters were rude and disrespectful, short tempered for no reason. (Wethersfield) Much better game masters at Puzzle Theory, Vernon CT. Curse of Osiris was not as it was in the picture on the site (hardly lit/hard to see and very dim lights unlike in the picture on the sight where everything is easy to see such as the colored lights). In the room there was also Egyptian Gods and that was a key point in the clues but none of the Gods were labeled with their names, so unless you know which Egyptian God is which then you will have a very hard time in some of the parts. read more

I had been wanting to do an escape room for so long now and was so excited when this place opened up!! I really wanted to do the prison themed room but it was booked on the night we were able to attend, so we ended up doing an Egyptian tomb one instead. It was very hot in the room, so definitely wear clothes you can stay cool in if you do that one! They did warn us of that. One thing I didn't know until we arrived is that this place is BYOB!! Which is so cool. Fortunately there is a liquor store just next door so we were able to run and grab some beers to bring in with us, and it made it even more of an enjoyable experience. I was surprised by just how challenging the room was. It was fun to solve the mysteries and though we didn't ultimately escape, we made it to the last step which was pretty good considering it was the first time for all of us doing any escape room, and there were only 4 of us (the room is for 6). Last night a few of us got the opportunity to experience The Curse of Osiris escape room at Lara's Labyrinth. The experience is something out of Egypt. When you enter you notice a life size sarcophagus in the center of the room, hieroglyph's lining the walls, the late Dr. Jones on the floor and beneath him, sand that covers the floor of the tomb of Osiris. This room was full of special effects, fun puzzles and artifacts that lead you to solving this tricky puzzle. Unlike other escape rooms this room had no locks and traditional keys. Anyone that gives this room or Lara's Labyrinth a one star rating definitely doesn't understand good production value and creativity. Overall, this place was a lot of fun and a great experience for my friends and I! read more

I tried out the Tomb of Osiris escape room here and was quite impressed with the set up. It is $30/person and would recommend you bring cash because there is a charge for tax with credit card payment. The staff monitor you and will provide clarifications as needed since the room was so technical, so it was different than the 3 hint limit that most other places have. Definitely want to return to try the other rooms. You could tell there was a lot of thought into the puzzles. read more

We booked a reservation at this place over a month ago. Today they emailed us 2 hours before our scheduled appointment to tell us they were cancelling it. We have a tradition of doing an escape room every Christmas Eve, but due to this late cancellation I doubt we'll continue that. Overall had an awesome experience in Cell Block 4...I went with a group of 4 20-something's and we had a blast. The room was challenging and we were solving things right up until the end of the 1 hour timer. If you call ahead you can reserve the room for just your party at no extra cost which is great.
