My wife and I came and did the asylum escape room. It was a blast! I definitely had the life scared out of me at least 3 times while my wife(the horror fan) barely flinched . The puzzles were challenging but very fun and solvable with good team work. We escaped with about 15 minutes remaining. We plan to come back at some point to try the other rooms they offer. Overall, a top notch experience! read more

Escape Rooms Connecticut - Escaped Asylum with about 15 minutes left! - Escape Games Near Me - Orange, Connecticut

We had so much fun in our escape room, the relic. They ask you ahead of time if you want hints, etc and I think we said yes if we ask. The woman running it that night was very friendly. We can't wait to go back!! read more

We visited ERC again in Dec 2019 and played their "The Asylum at Fairfield Hills" with our NBC Live friends. THE STORY We are a team of detectives that were being sent into The Asylum at Fairfield Hills to find out what had happened recently to the six paranormal investigators that went missing. Rumor has it, Dr. Borden might be responsible. We need to find the evidence before he gets back. HIT THE BULLSEYE -Unique story line and great flow throughout with very reasonable puzzles. They were not extremely difficult, but you would always be rewarded with a "reveal". -Love the intensity build up from the beginning to the end as the story develops. The change of scenery was well played. -Props used all felt realistic and a few of them caught our teammates off guard and definitely got some "jumps" out of them. MISSED THE MARK -A few special effects could be added to the beginning of the scenery to create a more mysterious "entry" as currently the space feels a bit wasteful for with the number of puzzles its used for. Might also be great to warn players no need to put hands into or touch the wooden pieces for nails or splinter injuries. -One hint on the wall in the latter part of the game was a bit confusing to us as we were able to solve the puzzle without following what the hint told us to do. So we thought it was for another puzzle. It may help to not have that clue to be written on the wall. -Although it's not really a big issue, but it would be great to see more of a variation on the props used to solve a puzzle rather than using the same device again. -The ending could use a bigger "wow" moment for its grand finale. TAKE A SHOT? The atmosphere of the room was eerie throughout but it's not the horror you'll feel at a haunted house. Since we do have readers ask us this all the time, we just wanted to inform them that there are no live actors in the room. It's a great room to play if you like mystery solving in a horror-genre setting. It would be best if you go with a team of four at least, so all the puzzles could be played without bypassing any of the full experience. read more

We did the relic escape room.. It was soo much fun really well done . 100% recommend this place we will be coming back to try the other rooms in the future! read more

Kay was our game master and she was amazing! She was fun and seemed to love her job which made our experience even better! We did the stolen relic room and it was such an immersive experience! Definitely better than any escape room I've ever done. Cant wait to go back and try different rooms! My friends want to make it a weekly thing now !! Update: we just did the Asylum room and oh my god! That is what all escape rooms should be like! I did it with 4 friends and I think that's the perfect the perfect amount because everyone could have a say in what was going on. We worked really well together and actually won! Everything flowed so well and the decor was so realistic! This is definitely our favorite room so far that we've ever done! It's not that scary, so if that's holding you back from doing this room, don't over think it and just do it! We can't stop talking about how much we loved this room. Everything about it! read more

We've been to many escape rooms but first time here. We did the relic room. The puzzles are okay but the room has been really poorly maintained so that some of the clues are illegible and/or broken. Overall not worth the money. Desperately needs an update. Puzzle master was nice. read more

Wow. That's all I can say. This was my first escape room experience and I have a feeling it will remain the best. The rooms are so intricate and detailed that i doubt other places can even compete. I can't wait to go back and try another room Sector X was awesome but it beat me. My group missed by a few minutes but it was such a good time. I can't stress enough how much fun it was read more

My friends wanted to do The Stolen Relic room here after a great experience last year (when we did The Terminal). We were a group of 8 and had a lot of fun! Our game master was supportive when we needed to gain some traction but it was not long before we got going. Lots of great elements to this room and definitely more challenging than our last one. Would check out The Asylum the next time I visit! read more

Escape Rooms Connecticut was great! They were very helpful and communicative even when their power was out and they might not be able to re-open that night. They called us and let us know and gave us multiple options to move our time or reschedule for a different day completely. We loved the layout of the room we did which was Terminal. The clues flowed nicely, the design was great, and we had a great time! We do advise if you haven't done escape rooms before to try their easier room Sector X. We have done quite a few escape rooms so we pieced together how the clues worked to lead to the next. We almost beat the record time for this also... 3 minutes ahead lol oh well! We enjoyed the rooms, customer service, and friendliness of the staff. We will definitely be back to do their other rooms! :) read more

Great fun! Well executed. Stolen Relic room is as advertised- challenging!! Friendly, knowledgeable staff & reasonable price tag. Can't wait to go again. read more

We recently visited and did the asylum room. The room itself was very fun and they did an amazing job with the atmosphere, the team member we were assigned to give us hints was also great and super helpful and friendly. The booking process itself was strenuous though, please know everyone has to book together all at once! I'm glad they have precautions in place because of the pandemic but wish they were more responsive to calls and email bc we drove out not knowing if all of us would even be able to get in since it privatized the booking my friend made. The biggest issue we faced was that it was nearly impossible to hear the staff member because the equipment is outdated. Totally not her fault, she even gave us a walkie talkie but we still couldnt make out what she was saying. We also did encounter a few puzzles that simply weren't working properly and thankfully she was able to manually make things happen in the room, it wasn't a huge setback to our time but still worth mentioning. Despite these two things we would definitely consider returning! The pricing was reasonable and it was a great time for the friend group :) read more

My little brother suggested going here for my birthday before we went out to dinner. I was game, having done some rooms at a place in NY a few years ago, but it was the last minute and we almost didn't make it happen. Everyone ended up getting here in time though to do the The Relic, and I'm glad we did. The whole family worked together with the guidance of Taylor, our gamemaster who was great, and we were actually able to complete the quest as time was coming down to the wire! There were some clever puzzles and effects, and overall, it was a great time. Check this place out for a fun little adventure. read more

First escape room experience so I cannot compare like many others do in their reviews but this was a LOT of fun. Highly recommend. Great staff and very creative from entry, the actual escape room, the sign in wall with thousands of sign ins ... just very cool all around. The puzzle master was really good as we were all ages 55 to 12 and the first time for everyone so we were truly clueless at first. We almost made it out so it was encouraging that this was a difficult room. We will certainly be back to this business to try other rooms. We're hooked on the experience! read more

I had a great time with my family here. We had great laughs and bonding time together. We were terrible but completed the mission through the skin of our teeth! We will be back to try the other rooms for sure! read more

I haven't had this much fun in a long time! We had a group of 7, and did the Stolen Relic room. It was run very well and the Game Master was excellent! We finished with 1 minute 30 sec on the clock! Can't wait to go back to do another room! read more

This was one of the most exciting and immersive escape rooms we've ever done. We did terminal; it was challenging but we had a blast and can't wait to come back. Taylor, the woman who helped us, was excellent and so informative. We can't wait to come back. read more

Me and my group had a great time! We did the Asylum room. It was scary and fun. We made it and completed the challenge. The puzzles were super fun to figure out and the crew does give you 3 clues so choose wisely!! Darell was great!! Definitely need to use your brain for this lol read more

Ok this was my first time at an escape room and I was blown away. We did the space room and I still can't believe how good of a job the designer did building all the props. This place has only been open a few weeks so that is why so few reviews (I was concerned). The staff was awesome and they, along with the well conceived and executed sets, made for an awesome time. Definitely coming back! read more

This was a great time. We did Sector X. Not an easy room and it's a great way to work as a team with your family or friends. Gordon was a great game master. Props are awesome as well. Front desk was so friendly. You need to do this read more

Excellent game! So detailed and amazing staff- we almost had it!!!!! So much fun- we will be back- and we will win!!!!!!

It was a great experience!!! So fun and Kay was a fantastic group master!! We did the "Terminal" one and it was so much fun, we beat it with 5 minutes to spare so it was challenging but not impossible. So efficient and well-run, we will definitely return! read more

Came here with friends for a night out and it was so much fun! We had been wanting to do an Escape Room and are very happy with the decision to come here. Their rooms are very elaborate and created an experience unlike others. We were challenged but had a great time trying to solve the clues. After we left, we were already planning to go back to play another room. Highly recommend going to Escape Rooms CT!! There's no place like this in Connecticut. read more

I have been to a few escape rooms on the past with my friends and this has been one of the best spots. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it isn't too expensive. Overall a great experience and we are excited to go back for more. read more

So we booked a private room for our group online using the website. Drove an hour to get there. We were told after signing waivers that the 9 month old baby that was with us would not be allowed in the room. The attendant said "it's all over our website" that no one under ten years old was permitted. While still standing there we brought up the website on our phones (to see how we could have missed this policy when we booked it) and found only one mention of an under ten years old restriction. It was only listed in the FAQ section which we didn't look at as we didn't have any questions. The policy as stated in the FAQ section specified that no one under age 10 could participate, our 9 month old certainly wouldn't have been participating, would have only been there for moral support really. We have completed over 15 escape rooms throughout CT as a family and the baby has been with us for the last 4 rooms that we have done. The attendant stated "I'm not gonna argue with you, it's our policy". While I understand that this policy may have been in place, it is certainly not clearly shown or explained on the website. So disappointed at this experience, unnecessary disappointment and waste of time. read more

Very fun experience with my friends. Was the perfect mix of difficult and fun. Required teamwork and problem solving. Will come back.

We had so much fun at Escape Rooms Connecticut. We did the Stolen Relic room, but we will definitely be back to try the other rooms! It was a challenge, but it made us work together and communicate with each other to figure out how to move to the next step! We had so much fun! We made it out with only 42 seconds to spare. It's so neat how the intricacies of the escape room lead from one thing to the next and how it all connects together to 'escape' in the end! We will definitely be back and highly recommend Escape Rooms Connecticut! read more

This was so much fun! Been meaning to play an escape room for a while now. We did the Indiana Jones room and the puzzles were really creative and fun. We just finished the third and final room at this location and it did not disappoint. The rooms are immersive in their themes, clues are interesting and different. You will not find yourself in a room with solely locks but a variety of types of puzzles that you'll have to solve. Of the escape rooms I have done in Fairfield County this location has the best around. read more
