Wow, just had the most amazing experience at this Escape room. This location was super clean. The staff was awesome and I can't explain much because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. For anyone who has not been to escape room. You go online and choose which room you would like this location has 6 rooms and each room has a different level of difficulty. We choose the Jumanji Room which was a difficult level of 4/5. The staff called early that morning to confirm and gave direction on where to go. Once we got there the staff greeted up and explain everything in detail. You have 60 minutes to complete the room you can ask for clues. You will not be disappointed read more

A bit of a drive for six of us, but well worth it! I love their business model. Once you finish playing your game, if there is another room available, they offer you to stay and play a second game for a discount ($10 off per person.) we played the Jurassic room and stayed to play the Marvel room. First time doing an online scape room and I really enjoyed myself. I came here for my girlfriends sisters birthday with a bunch of her sisters and we had a great time. Upon arriving their was a lil wait time while they cleaned up the the room from the previous clients that rented the room. When it was our time the staff was great at explaining the details on clues and any feedback we needed to get a better understanding. We had 8 people in total so we were split into 4 with 2 different rooms next to each other. The theme of the game we played was "Alice in wonderland" and to be honest for someone that knows nothing about Alice in wonderland I had fun. They give each room walkie talkies just in case you need help with clues the staff will help with clues. Overall, I had fun and I would definitely come back here again. This is definitely a great place to bond with your family and love ones. Staff here is very nice and after they let you take a group photo. They charge a few dollars if you want a put you group photo on the wall but you can't just decline and do the group photo. read more

We were spooked being shut in this creepy small dark space. The It theme was creepy and fun. The hints were good, but sort of hard to hear from the walkie talkie. We were able to escape with eight brains and a few clues. Abby was a fantastic host, although we think $40 per person is a bit much and we didn't get to put a lock on the wall. The Escape Zone sign is very small and the road it's on has a 50mph speed limit, so it is very easy to drive past and not realize. The parking lot is also very dark (they ask you to come in through the back entrance) so that was a little unnerving. it's not a bad area or anything, it's just not well lit. ~The Game Master~ Our game master was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have zero complaints! We didn't escape, so she walked us through the rest of the game and even gave us some fun facts about how the owner came up with the concept. ~The Room (Escape from Paradise)~ The game itself was okay. The person who created it for sure put in a lot of effort in the little details which was awesome. However, since it was one of the "easier" games, I think some of the things where a little too abstract, which created more frustration than enjoyment at times. Also, several things were broken or loose, so we did spend some of our time investigating things that didn't need to be investigated. I also personally didn't like the clues being given via walkie talkies, but that could just be my own preference. In the escape rooms that I've been in prior, you typically waved your hand in front of a camera and then could just speak. The walkie talkie was kinda of frustrating and sometimes hard to hear. We did the mad hatter escape room. It was fun & hard enough. It's just that it's a small room and not really as cool as some other rooms I've seen. It's not what I would call impressive. I probably would give it 4 stars but...when I called to make my reservation, they said it was 13 and over. When we got there, different story - so we had to pay for two extra tickets for me/husband to supervise. That, to be honest, wasn't necessary. It's the smallest room, nothing really to break... seemed like a bit - bait and switchish to me. All in all the kids had fun but it likely would be too easy for adults. read more

Entrance door is locked and you have to wait outside and call to let staff now you have arrived. Then you wait until an employee lets you in. You are given a walkie talkie if you need to ask for help(clues). Wasted several minutes throughout the hour asking for help and receiving none. I had to go as far as stepping out of the room and telling them and the front desk that I had been asking for help over the walkie talkie. Usually escape rooms have speakers so game masters can speak directly to you. Walkie talkie was and extra item that had to be carried around. I have been to more than 5 escape rooms in 3 locations, and this one was the worst. A lot of the clues didn't make sense and the neither did the order. We were fed up before we even got to the second room and even considered leaving. This was a waste of $76 will not be returning. read more

Took my 4 nieces ( 9yrs 9yrs 12yrs & 13yrs old) we had called last minute and they were able to take us right away . The staff is so friendly & helpful. My girls wanted to try something at a medium level. Well let's just say it was harder for the younger ones with determined minds who wanted to try and figure it out before their older sisters . They used the walkie talkie every few minutes and the girl never seemed frustrated and was so helpful. We did unfortunately run out of time and the girl helped them finish with great clues . We never realized there was an escape room only 10 minutes away from our home, but we were looking for something different to do on a date night and we enjoyed doing the escape room on a recent cruise so we decided to check them out. We had such a wonderful time! Booking was easy through the website, and they called shortly after to confirm our reservation and let us know how to access the building. When we arrived we were escorted in and introduced to our host. She was super sweet and helpful, got us set up quickly in the room and we got to work. The only complaint we had was that the one time we did ask for a clue it was a little hard to hear on the walkie, but otherwise it was a great experience and we would definitely come back! Purchased a Groupon here for myself and my boyfriend. We booked the Mad Hatter room. It was our first time doing an escape room and our experience at this location was awesome!! The escape room was well-decorated and I was very impressed with the clues and the intricacy of the game. They inform you before you start that you are allowed 2 free clues and can radio a staff member from inside the room to receive them. The staff here were very helpful and friendly! When it came time to give us our clues they were more than happy to help and very courteous. We booked our Groupon with 2 but were placed in the room with 6 other people. It was an awesome experience! I'm not that great at riddles but I had a great time. Definitely a challenge for the mind. I will definitely return to try other rooms in the future! read more

Came here via the groupon and me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed trouble in paradise. We wanted a challenge so while it was 2-8 players we did it by ourselves. There were plenty of things to do at the same time and all of the puzzles were "doable" and nothing was too insane. There definitely couldve been more twists and turns or some crazy props but hey its long island. In any case we got out with a few minutes to spare and we were satisfied with the result. We liked it so much we did the come back deal for 20 bucks a person and we did the bones and skulls one. We also were able to escape but this escape room felt more linear and there were a few misses in terms of things that you couldn't really "figure out". You just had to stumble upon it. In any case they claim they have a high room turnover rate so given the right deal I would come again. The only major downside is that they're literally in the middle of nowhere so it's definitely annoying to get to. read more

We went this afternoon with our kids (12 and 9) and did the pirate room. We all enjoyed it and the puzzles were challenging buy doable for the kids. The theming was good also. We'll definitely go back with kids. My husband and and I have done escape rooms all over Suffolk and Nassau with our friends for years so we have some comparison and we'll be back with out friends for the harder rooms. Only complaint is that it's very dark so we had to use our phone flashlights. Next time I'm bringing a headlamp. It was also too small a room for 6 adults. It was comfortable for 2 adults, 2 kids so 4 adults would be fine but 6 would be tight. read more

We did all the rooms in the Saint James location so was glad to see they opened another in Miller Place-bit of a hike from where we live but we went today and played two rooms-Jurassic and Vampire. Jurassic was much harder than the vampire room but they were both fun And challenging. I had talked to the owner on the phone prior to booking and he was very nice and helpful. Me: Enthusiast with over 100 rooms played. Puzzle hunter player with a love for solving things. Logic and math are okay with me. I tend to be a tough critic. At this point, I have played most of the rooms on Long Island. This location is a bit of a hike for me (an hour), but after playing a third room of theirs, I believe it's worth the trip and gets a play recommendation from me. The customer service here has always been top notch, and the games are largely non-linear. There's logic, math, spatial, search, word and a-ha puzzles that make a lot of sense. By and large, the puzzles make sense and flow logically. There are a few moments in the rooms that have been quite amazing. I won't ruin the surprise of these, but in the return to paradise room, there's an environmental cue to let you know that time is running out that surprised and delighted me, and there were quite a few puzzles in the pirate room that felt incredibly good on solving. Both of those rooms are highly recommended. The original Harry Potter room was okay, but I couldn't recommend it at the time. It was too disjointed and didn't flow logically, but they were redoing the room. If they have, I believe the track record stands as a room you should play. Highly recommend this location based on the escape room (for beginners) and the pirate room for more advanced. read more

We did the Jumanji room in Saint James and there were plenty of excellent puzzles with great production values. Staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. There was lots for everyone to do with a good variety of puzzles and it wasn't all linear. I would say that the Jumanji room at least would be best for 6-7 ppl. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Long Island! read more

Loved this escape room. I came here with 5 other people and we set out to complete the Fear Room. It has a 5/5 difficulty and can say that it deff lived up to its potential. We didn't complete the room but we came super close. It consisted of 3 different rooms and all the props and locks were challenging. I also like that they change rooms. We had never been before but for whatever reason, my daughter wanted to do an escape room for her birthday so we picked this place for no other reason other than it had good reviews and close to where I needed to drop my car off for servicing that day. Boy, am I glad I found this place. The only downside is that I had trouble with the website on my mobile phone where it wasn't processing my payment. So I called and they just told be to come by and they took great care of us. Let me just say Emily was fantastic! Knowing it was our first escape room experience, she explained everything perfectly, checked in with us periodically to make sure we were doing okay, and gave us hints where we needed them. Had a great time here! Frist time trying an escape room and I am so happy I came here. My group did the Pirates of the Caribbean room first. The puzzles flowed very well together. An hour went by so fast. We actually mad it out! After that we were offered to do another room for a great discount. Jumped on that offer and went into the Harry Potter room. Love these escape rooms! I've done several rooms here including diamond heist, Alice in wonderland, Friday the 13th and most recently trouble in paradise and the pirates of the Caribbean themed one. I had purchased a groupon and used that to book online for trouble in paradise. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very friendly employee at the front desk, Scott. He explained the rules and how things worked to us as a refresher and then led us to the first room. The room was well-decorated to the theme and all the puzzles were challenging in different ways, making us use our analytical thinking skills. We ended up escaping with time to spare and had a blast! Scott then informed us that since we just did a room, if we wanted to do another one that day we could at a discounted price. We barely had to mull that one over and said yes! The only downside was, my husband went to pay with credit card and was told there would be a fee for that, so he paid with cash instead - I'm only noting this so as to make sure you have cash on you! We did the pirates room next which was a bit more challenging for us and we also escaped that one but cut it super close. All in all, Escape zone never fails to impress me with their rooms, and I look forward to coming back soon to try out the Harry Potter and mad hatter rooms! read more
