I was immediately welcomed by the friendly and encouraging staff and felt so at home! I've taken 6 classes so far and I'm hooked. If you're a Bikram practitioner of any level, I recommend Ash - they have a variety of teachers, but they're all versed in the Bikram dialogue. Colleen, Heatherly, Marissa - whether you like the 60 minute express or if you brave the 90 minutes, they've got you covered and you'll leave sweaty and rejuvenated. The studio is well heated and there's plenty of space - I've felt amazing from the very first class! They have a ton of other heated and non-heated classes too which I'm excited to try (but I am a bit of a Bikram loyalist at the moment). Only critique would be that they don't provide towels or mats so you have to bring your own, and the shower situation isn't great - the bathroom is small so there's nowhere to comfortably get changed unless you're standing in the shower. I'm coming from Brooklyn where I'm used to towels and mats being provided and the showers being really great, but that's Brooklyn where no one has a car and everyone has to take the train after class, so it's different. I'm adjusting to the Long Island life, so this isn't turning into as much of a hassle as I thought it would be. Getting in my car sweaty isn't so bad so I've been showering at home after and it's fine! I love Ash Hot Yoga, the teachers, the other students, the atmosphere, the availability of classes, and the you-are-family, everyone-is-welcome-here vibes. I'm so glad I found them and can't wait for more.

I've been to Alexa's and John's yoga class and although they have different styles they are both thoughtful and just overall cool vibes. Alexa's class on Wednesday is a gentle & inspiring flow suitable for beginners & seasoned yogis alike. John's class is a strong vinyasa flow that offers modifications for beginner-intermediate. AYAH is more than a yoga studio, Kim has created a community. I often joke that the studio is my home away from home. The AYAH studio is a beautiful, serene space; the minute you walk in you can feel the love and caring that Kim has put into it. AYAH offers classes for all levels of yogis; whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for years there is a class for you. In addition to yoga classes, Kim offers a wide variety of workshops to enhance your spiritual growth and deepen your practice. Alexa, and Adrienne teach yin and restorative classes that are fantastic. Jenna's classes are challenging enough for the experienced yogi but still attainable for the newer practitioner. The cleaning crew of Regina and Jose do close to absolutely nothing to keep the gym clean. The front desk girl with the nose ring is like a character right out of the movie "MEAN GIRLS." Be sure to add "Amazon Hub Locker Wristwatch" to your Amazon address book. Wristwatch is a huge locker that stands right in front of the TV lounge. Across from TV is a sectional couch, where members can sit down and relax. That is a bonus because most fitness clubs do not have a lounge. Regrettably, there is no sauna. It is always clean and tidy here because most members wipe down equipment and re-rack weights after use. Opening hours are 5 am on weekdays and 8am on weekends. The minus one star is due to the weekend hours. Doesn't corporate know that a lot of people get up early on weekends?!?!!
