My daughter was not old enough to participate in the classes before the grand opening however we are just at the age to begin taking classes there. We took our first class this past Sunday and booked the 45 minute educational class and 45 minute open play. It was so easy to see the available classes and open play online and to see the theme each week. We booked in for the Dino class and arrived a few minutes early. For parking, you can park on Main Street for street parking (free) or utilize the CVS lot across the street. First impressions, the Schoolhouse Play & Cafe, was bright, light and airy. It was SO clean and you can tell each aspect of the play & cafe was so intentionally thought out and purposeful. I was so appreciatively of it also being a shoeless place. There were little cubbies to place your shoes and also coat racks to hang purses, bags or jackets. We were greeted by Miss Anna and Miss Dana. I loved how there were two instructors for the class and how they assisted each other throughout the class. It flowed very seamlessly. Since it was Dino week, the class incorporated different stories, activities, crafts with dinosaurs. I also appreciated the intention behind the lesson planning for the class. Some classes you can go to you are not sure what you are doing and this was complete opposite. There were instructions but also the ability for the little ones to be little ones and have movement, play and seated tasks. After the great lesson, we were welcomed into the open play space. It was so beautiful - even prettier than instragram. Even though it's brand new, you can tell it's a clean space and well maintained. I am extra appreciative of that because of all the germs, you can feel safe here with the cleanliness. My little one is a little past one and I felt the open play was great for her. There were so many new things to interact with without feeling overloaded and also peers ranging close to her age. I'm guessing they would make you buy socks if you didn't bring any due to sandals. At least they had cubbies. Oh speaking of parties.. it took awhile for us to finally be able to book here for open play because we were always looking for a weekend and usually they reserve morning blocks for parties (leaving open play times like late afternoon 3/4/5pm. Sidebar, everyone loved the pizza. At the end, they cleaned and packed up the gifts for me. Did I mention the good service? lol Definitely made the right choice coming here. That day and the day before it had snowed but they did a marvellous job cleaning the outside are for guest! The indoor playground isn't extremely big but it has the essentials. There isn't much sensory activities. Good that my toddler (under 2 years old) is half price for the admissions and the adults can accompany without any charge but anti slip socks required. They have a good amount of arcade games. I prefer their arcade games more than their indoor playground but I would return especially if I need drain my little one out when other indoor playgrounds are closed.

The staff had set up my son's soon with a fun construction theme including table clothes, plates, napkins, signs on the wall and had juice and water ready to go. They checked in throughout, reminded us about pizza and cake at the right time and didn't rush anyone. Last year my son had his birthday at Tumble Jungle in Norwalk and it felt more rushed and like they wanted us out on the minute but Playhouse Fairfield gave us a great experience. If you're looking for an easy time for your kids, someone to truly pull it all together for you I'd definitely recommend them in the future!

My two-year-old son and I have visited this location dozens of times over the past year without a single issue. On this visit, we also happened to be the only Black family present. What happened afterward was shocking, unprofessional, and felt unmistakably discriminatory. Later that day, I received a call from someone identifying herself as the owner/manager. She claimed that it had been "reported" that my recently turned two-year-old son had: * "Shaken" a one-year-old girl * Then supposedly been "violent" toward multiple children * And later--somehow--"choked" the same child These accusations all came in a single phone call and kept changing as she spoke. Not one version was consistent with the last, and none of them matched anything that occurred during our visit. When I calmly asked her to check security footage, she said she would but immediately followed it with, "The video may not have caught anything," despite openly admitting she hadn't reviewed it. To this day, I have received zero follow-up or confirmation that any video was checked at all. I later spoke with the front-desk employee who was there during our visit. He confirmed that: * No parent voiced any complaint about my son * He personally witnessed nothing concerning * The owner/manager was not even present at the time This brings up extremely concerning questions: * How did the owner know to single out my child when no complaint was made? * Why was I immediately presumed guilty with no evidence? * Why did the supposed reporting parents never speak to me directly, which is standard in children's play spaces? * Why did the claims escalate from shaking, to multiple children, to choking--a sequence that simply does not align with a newly two-year-old's behavior or my son's history? My son has never harmed another child, and our long history at this business reflects that.
