My son had his 6th birthday here last week and I was very impressed with the staff and preparation. It was June so the only other guests there when we arrived was another birthday party finishing up. The staff had set up my son's soon with a fun construction theme including table clothes, plates, napkins, signs on the wall and had juice and water ready to go. They checked in throughout, reminded us about pizza and cake at the right time and didn't rush anyone. Last year my son had his birthday at Tumble Jungle in Norwalk and it felt more rushed and like they wanted us out on the minute but Playhouse Fairfield gave us a great experience. If you're looking for an easy time for your kids, someone to truly pull it all together for you I'd definitely recommend them in the future! read more

I'm writing this review to share an extremely troubling experience my family had at Playhouse Fairfield on December 4, 2025. My two-year-old son and I have visited this location dozens of times over the past year without a single issue. On this visit, we also happened to be the only Black family present. What happened afterward was shocking, unprofessional, and felt unmistakably discriminatory. Later that day, I received a call from someone identifying herself as the owner/manager. She claimed that it had been "reported" that my recently turned two-year-old son had: * "Shaken" a one-year-old girl * Then supposedly been "violent" toward multiple children * And later--somehow--"choked" the same child These accusations all came in a single phone call and kept changing as she spoke. Not one version was consistent with the last, and none of them matched anything that occurred during our visit. When I calmly asked her to check security footage, she said she would but immediately followed it with, "The video may not have caught anything," despite openly admitting she hadn't reviewed it. To this day, I have received zero follow-up or confirmation that any video was checked at all. I later spoke with the front-desk employee who was there during our visit. He confirmed that: * No parent voiced any complaint about my son * He personally witnessed nothing concerning * The owner/manager was not even present at the time This brings up extremely concerning questions: * How did the owner know to single out my child when no complaint was made? * Why was I immediately presumed guilty with no evidence? * Why did the supposed reporting parents never speak to me directly, which is standard in children's play spaces? * Why did the claims escalate from shaking, to multiple children, to choking--a sequence that simply does not align with a newly two-year-old's behavior or my son's history? My son has never harmed another child, and our long history at this business reflects that. read more

Fun obstacle course to bring my toddler. The location is well maintained. They offer coffee, tea and water for free and have drinks and snacks available for purchase. Slides are a little too fast but there's signage posted. Otherwise recommend for a nice time out of the house. read more

Sadly we won't be returning, as lack of supervision of staff and another caretaker resulted in a child hurting several children before finally being asked to leave. We all understand that young children will have issues communicating frustration. However this child slapped a child bit a child and then bit my child in three spots before being asked to leave. My nanny pulled him off her as quickly as she could (she was holding a baby) while the other nanny was just sitting on her phone. Again, this kid had already slapped another kid and had already bit a different child! (Management confirmed this when I called) Why had the staff not intervened and asked the nanny to participate in play with the child in order to prevent more aggression on the first incident? I understand young children sometimes need help, but we all need to be safe. We did not pay to for our child to get hurt! Another major issue is that management had no plan on following up and informing the parents of the biter. If the nanny is negligent enough to let that kid keep hurting other kids, I doubt she was going to tell the parents! All in all this situation was handled poorly. (And yes my nanny feels awful that she wasn't able to keep her away from the aggressive kid!) read more

I'm on a quest to find great indoor play facilities in the area. If you haven't seen my review of minitown you should check it out. Playhouse Fairfield is located in the Old Navy/Gap plaza on black rock turnpike. They have parking in the main lot (that shares with Old Navy, Gap, etc.) but they also have parking in the back and in a garage (along with wings over water) which is great. They do not take online reservations so you either call ahead or just show up and hope you can get in. It's $17 flat and you do not need to register or anything. There also didn't seem to be a time limit so I'm not quite sure how that works? (Do they just wait for people to leave? Can you stay all day?). They have some drinks that are complementary in the tiny cafe area. They also have snacks and drinks available for purchase, with the prices on a board hanging on the wall. On first impression, It's a very cute place. No pretend play here unlike minitown. This place is strictly a jungle gym. It's also very small. Pictures are deceiving. It's about half the size of minitown. I imagine this place feels bigger when there isn't a hundred people here. There are two areas, the bigger one is green and the smaller one is blue. Green has two slides, blue has one. There's also a poorly lit space under each area with additional playing like a swing for younger kids (that was busted up and crooked), a crawl through rope tunnel, and some other obstacle things that I couldn't see. I would 10000% never leave any kid unsupervised at this place. When we came it was absolutely PACKED. I have no idea what their capacity is. I do know that they had two birthday parties (back to back) and were still allowing the general public in, which is absolute insanity. I tried to count the amount of kids (lost count at around 23) but then the party kids showed up so I imagine there were way more. That plus at least 1 parent put this place as severely chaotic and crowded. The other reviewer was not kidding when they said that parents do not watch their kids here at all. I saw one kid with blood pouring down their face, maybe from a nosebleed but either way was blood in the play area? I truly have no idea but given the lack of staff here it's very concerning and a biohazard. Other kids are just incredibly aggressive or there's babies licking the balls and other play stuff. Speaking of cleanliness. This place seems pretty dirty. My socks were dirty after being in the ball pits. The netting, which was white in some areas, was clearly filthy. I can't imagine the balls are cleaned that often. It just felt kind of gross. There's cubbies at the front for your shoes but many parents and kids had their shoes on directly outside the play area which probably contributes to how dirty it seemed. There were two people working from what I could see. No one monitors the play area. No one disperses the balls evenly in the pits. No one collects balls that are thrown outside of the pits. Another place with safety issues. I was also checking out the information on birthday parties. Their prices are ASTRONOMICAL. $1700 is the highest package and the ONLY one that gets you a truly private event. While you've got totsy turvy in Wilton that charges $900 for a fully private event. Playhouse Fairfield offers food in their packages (depending on which tier you select) but I think an extra $800 (compared to totsy turvy) is insane. The lower tiers do not give you the play area private, you share that with the public. There's absolutely no way I would consider doing that at this place but there's no way I would pay $1700 either. While I think this place has a much better jungle gym for younger kids compared to minitown, it's just a free for all and you are left stressing out. My kid also wanted to leave after less than an hour while I thought was interesting. read more

My son had his 2nd Birthday Party here today! What an amazing experience. The staff were great, Terrence was amazing and the young woman who was with him for a short peirid of time was amazing as well. I just do not remember her name. The decor was better than I imagined. All that was ask was to see my party invitation which had our theme on it! They totally achieved greatness! Great place for toddlers. Even the bathrooms were fully equipped with what you need and caters to children under 7! The adult lounge is adorable! It's a cute place and kids had fun, however, my observation while there is that rather than watch their children, the majority of parents used it as their social/coffee hour. I couldn't believe the lack of supervision. On the website, it says socks must be worn.. they weren't. We had to wait due to capacity being reached which is understandable but my frustration was with the parents.. we all need a break but it doesn't mean stop watching your kids! read more

Really enjoy this place. They keep the age limit low so small kids don't have to worry about being run over by the big kids. The whole place is small enough that you can see your kids from basically wherever you are. There's a nice lounge to sit in and coffee and tea and snacks.
