This playhouse center is a great addition to the neighborhood. It's in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. Plenty of kids entertainment - foam pit, slide, stem wall, bikes, costumes and more. The going rate is $20 for 2 hours per child. The coffee is a little expensive but good. I haven't tried the cafe food. Only down fall is the online booking tool. Never seems to have availability for day of, however, you may take your chance and drop in, it worked for me. read more

Minitown is the cutest spot! It's a beautiful designed and clean facility that also offers a café. They have various seating areas while you watch your children play and a bar seating area that overlooks it. They offer a variety of drink and food options for both adults and children. Their menu includes iced and hot coffee beverages (with Victus coffee-CT), tea, smoothies and add-ons. For food they offer a kids lunchbox where you can mix a variety of healthy options. They also have paninis and savory eats (avocado toast, cheese board, BEC, SEC, Bagels, etc). Even if you're not utilizing the play area with the kids, the café is a great spot to go grab a breakfast, coffee or lunch in town! read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars because I'm hoping by writing this some things will change. Came here last week for the first time. I'll start with the good. It's a beautiful facility. Their bathrooms are nice. They are situated behind the play area and cafe and are accessible from both areas. There are two good sized bathrooms that contain changing tables, a seat for kids to sit (and be strapped in) and diapers with wipes and cream in case you forget yours at home. The cafe is also very nice. There are lots of tables of various sizes, as well as "bar seating" that overlooks the play area. Haven't had food here but the drinks are really good. A bit small for the price though, especially coffee. Plus they offer kids snacks and beverages (smoothies too!). There's also a small cubby area for shoes. Not sure about leaving bags there so I'd recommend wearing a belt bag. Plenty of parking available as well. Unfortunately I was not a huge fan of the play area. First of all, I want to say I 100% appreciate capping the age at 6. I understand it's disappointing for some but from what I witnessed I don't think this place is appropriate for children above that age. I do love that they have booking times and that they don't overlap (this is a huge issue with the play place in Wilton)! The play area is situated behind a gate that closes with an easy latch. When you first walk in, to your right is a foam pit with a climbing wall and to your left are the stairs leading to the slides. Let's talk about the slide structure. The entire structure is INSANELY slippery. Even with grip socks on, I almost fell down the stairs. Adults are NOT allowed to go down the slides and honestly it's pretty difficult to get your child through the "obstacle" area to go down the slides if they are young. Plus then you have to go back through the obstacle area to meet your kid at the bottom. I did not find this structure appropriate at all for kids under the age of 3. Parents, WATCH YOUR KIDS. I can't tell you how many times I witnessed older children pushing their way through and knocking down younger ones. When you first get to the top of the stairs of the structure there are dress up clothes and a mirror which are very out of place. Clothes were strewn all over the ground and anyone could slip and get really hurt. My suggestion is to move that downstairs to the pretend play. There's absolutely no reason for it to be up there. Kids were also taking things from different areas (mostly stuffed animals) and throwing them down the slides. The slide going into the ball pit is very very slippery and fast. If your kid doesn't get out of the way in time at the bottom they will get hit by another kid. The main ball pit area is very cool with the ball suction play. I noticed a lot of kids enjoyed that. The pretend play area is essentially useless because kids were just removing all of the pretend play toys and putting them in different sections. There also aren't enough pretend play toys in each area (like hello one grocery cart?). There aren't enough toys for each section to really share with other kids, especially if the place is at capacity. The area meant for smaller kids, while it looks fun there is way too much stuff going on. They have this semi-circle shaped climbing structure that kids are supposed to climb to get into the small ball pit but it makes absolutely no sense. There should be a small slide (like the ones you see for the rental soft play equipment) instead. There's also foam blocks but no room to use them (unless they are meant to be taken out of that area?). There's a short divider between this area and the main play area so it's unclear if you can take things out to use them. They also have a "road" and tricycles available. There are 6 tricycles which honestly is too many if this place is at capacity. It's just a chaotic mess if you've got 3+ kids using them. The foam pit with the climbing wall looks cool but it's hard to maneuver with socks on, plus it's very deep! Reminds me of a gymnastics pit. I think this place is cute but for safety reasons they really need to have at least two (AGE APPROPRIATE) employees manning the area. Putting toys back, regulating aggressive kids (or telling the parents they need to watch them better) and making sure kids aren't bringing toys in areas that they don't belong in (like the slide area). Please fix the slippery structure!! It definitely needs to have grips (more on the stairs). Especially upstairs and please remove the dress up. It is way too dangerous having dress up clothes all over when kids are running to get up there. Fix the younger kid area and get rid of the weird climber into the ball pit. The biggest safety issue is the huge slide structure. If you are a parent bringing your kid under the age of 3 do not let them go up there alone please! read more

Had my son's 5th Birthday there. They had everything there for you, from decor, setup, socks, and staff within the playground area. They even have mini potties low to the ground for kids to use in the bathroom that were well stocked with diapers and wipes. They have a cute cafe area, and we ordered food for the adults during the birthday. Everything was easy and top-notch. I couldn't have been happier with the day. Would definitely recommend! This establishment is very well designed and great space for little ones to enjoy every minute. Very clean for a public children's play area. Unfortunately I had a less than pleasant encounter with the owner. I went with my spouse, child and my mother, as it was my daughters birthday. We ordered some food and one of the items ordered was their sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. Immediately looking it at, didn't look like a croissant and after taking just one small bite I didn't like it what so ever, I could clearly tell it was microwaved eggs from a cartoon. I approached one of the staff members at the register and I politely explained and asked to get something else then I walked back to my table. Soon after I was approached by the owner, who was very hostile, arrogant and rude. She wanted to know why I asked to replace their sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. When I explained that I didn't know that it was a microwaved egg and that's one reason I didn't like it. She then decided to become very hostile and told me that no one has complained and it's not microwaved the eggs, it's actually a frozen sandwich that comes in a box. I then said "well that's even worse then" she then said "well we microwave it to thaw it then press it on the panini, it's very good" I replied with "I'm sorry but I didn't like it" she then became more hostile and said "this is like Starbucks quality, it's not just SHIT!". At that moment my mother and I just sat there looking at her in utter disbelief. I already was barley able to get any words out and at that moment I was just in shock at this woman's attitude and language. This is a public food establishment and she will run into many not very ideal situations in the future and clearly doesn't know how to handle it. This didn't even need to be a situation. She needs some big lessons on how to run a business and work with the public. The conversation should have been very simple "Hi, sorry I heard you didn't like what you ordered, may I ask why?" "Oh okay, I'm sorry you didn't know, it is pre frozen but I hope you like this better and sorry about that", or not at all for that matter. I am a customer, I took one small bite, which I spit out and asked for something else as this was not to my liking due to eggs being artificial eggs. I would have gone back to play regardless of the food but for an owner to behave this way and use profanity in a children's establishment that's unacceptable. Luckily my daughter was not at the table and was playing with her father but regardless this is not okay. I hope she learns how to deal with situations that might not seem so ideal to her in this establishment in a better manner. She clearly showed no self control in dealing with the public or a small issue that shouldn't have been an actual issue. Best of luck but we won't be going back as there are many other options available and I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone I know. read more
