Bruce was invited to a birthday party here and it was awesome! Not only did he have fun, Dad and I did too. Half arcade, half play center for kids compete with adventure course, blow up slides and a toddler specific section. Parties come with a room, pizza, soda and cupcakes, a play card with a few bucks on it and you can play for as long as you want. Pizza wasn't bad, think Little Caesars. We had a visit with JJ from Cocomelon that was a nice surprised for Bubs. Looking at the flyer and pricing for the different tiered parties and they seem pretty reasonable. I want to start by saying this review is not meant to get anyone in trouble, but I do think it's important feedback for a family fun center that works with children. We have been to Xplore in Port Jefferson a couple of times, and while the concept is great for kids and families, the staff experience has been disappointing. The employees did not seem friendly or welcoming. Very few smiles, very little warmth, and at times it felt like asking a simple question was an inconvenience. I understand places like this can get busy, and it did seem like they may have been short staffed for the amount of children there. But if that many kids are allowed in at once, there really needs to be enough staff available and visible, especially around the attractions. At one point, a child near the rock wall needed help getting out of the harness, and we waited quite a while for a staff member to come over and assist. I don't want to misrepresent the situation, but it was concerning to see a child waiting for help with equipment while no one was immediately available. We also had to go up to the desk to ask whether certain attractions were open, which should really be monitored better. The floors could also use more attention with vacuuming and cleaning, especially with so many children running around. The pricing also feels high for what you get. Admission for just two children was north of $50.00, which is crazy, especially before even adding snacks, pizza, or anything extra. I know family entertainment places usually charge more, but this felt very overpriced. Above all, my biggest concern is the lack of friendliness from the staff. When hiring for a children's and family center, it's so important to have people who genuinely enjoy working with kids and families. A place like this should feel fun, safe, and welcoming. Pretty solid indoor play park for kids. I was expecting a few more play options with the base cost, but then again, I didn't really know what to expect. Blippi probably skewed my sense of reality... Parking is a little rough. So I suggest getting there early, right after parties end. A couple of big blow up slides, a cute area for under 3's, and a large play park with slides and climbing. What differentiates this one is the zip line course and rock climbing wall, but they didn't open immediately which was a bummer. Lots of arcade games that all cost money. Great place if you need somewhere indoors to let the kids let out some energy. Recently went with a group of friends with our 2.5 year olds and they had a blast. You can pay online and complete forms ahead of time- that's the easiest option if we go back, would probably do that ahead of time. It's cute, it's like a mini Dave and busters for the kids. They have a small food court basically with some drinks and snacks for the kids. You can put your belongings in cubbies by the front door. There's a toddlers section but they also have a rock climbing wall, they have two different climbing towers that two of the braver toddlers loved climbing in. They have a huge bounce house like slide, it is a little difficult to climb up (even as an adult) but you technically are NOT allowed to climb up as an adult. They had a cute walk along or your child can walk alone on this harnessed track they have. It's definitely a fun place and somewhere you can let the littles burn out some energy! read more

We had the opportunity to babysit our two youngest grandkids on Saturday. I can never get enough of those kids. Love them to death. So my wife made reservations at Xplore which is a big indoor play ground for kids. Most all of the amusements are those big blowup type slides. Also many games which give out ticked based on your winnings which translates into prizes. Let's back up a bit. Under Covid protocols you can only reserve a two hour stint. Ours was 1:30 to 3:30. So the number of people in the building is limited to some degree. Plenty of hand sanitizer. They have a large room on the lift area for private parties and that appears to be a big draw to Xplore. They also have lockers or cubbies to put your shoes in. I guess the lockers are more for valuables. My grandkids enjoyed everything but I think mostly the games. Me too. They have a snack bar area, which we took advantage of. Just sodas and ice cream for us. Snack bar prices? Well don't ask just enjoy it. About ten minutes before our two hours were up they made an announcement to cash in your tickets for prizes. You can imagine the chaos that ensued but I must say that the young lady in charge was very patient with all the kids. Overall it was a lot of fun, but I am a little prejudice when it comes to my grandkids. I suggest you try Xplore, it's great fun for the kids , oh and secure too. read more

Pretty decent place for the kiddies. Probably best suited for toddlers up to about 11 years old. There's some bouncy slides, obstacle courses for children under 49 inches tall, laser obstacle course, wall climbing, a toddler bouncy zone and a few other gymnastic type activities. The staff is pretty helpful but they are teenagers themselves. Each time I've been there I made sure to keep a watchful eye out, but it seems to be a fairly safe place. They also offer arcade style and video games for an extra fee (similar to Dave and Busters). A snack counter with seating is also available as well as a private birthday party loft. read more

They raised the prices which seems reasonable $24 for kids 3+ $17 for kids 1-2 YO Under 1 Free My only issue was that 2 out of the handful of attractions were unmanned and closed. I don't think it's right to charge full price for 2 of the major attractions that my kids wanted to be on to be unmanned. I'm not cute of the names but one is a rock wall and the other ride consisting of zip lining. Visit Date: January 25, 2020 We were looking for a place to bring our son and even though it was a little bit of a drive we found Xplore and settled on giving it a shot. If you're coming from further away it is worth the drive. They have a bunch of great things for kids, a bunch of arcade games which my son loves to play, we got photos in the photo booth, there was an indoor jungle gym and they let adults on which is awesome, some places are a little stingy about adults being on the equipment and I like it better if the adults are allowed to go in be with their kids, if their kids want them to be. They had a cafeteria style area I didn't eat any of the food choices but they did have coffee and that was good enough for this mama. I had to drink it with some creamer because I wasn't sure how the taste would be without some flavored creamer to mask it but it was tolerable for my semi-regular caffeine and coffee that I need or feel like I need through the day. Most of the machines worked, some were broken but we've been to play places where half the machines were broken so it was nice to know they have better upkeep here. I decided on the PRIVATE EXPLORER : the whole place is yours 2 hours of private use of facility. 30 minutes of additional checkin time for private evening. 18 children included (birthday child + 17 guests) Pizza for each child Juice box for each child $10 game card for each child $15 game card for birthday child Free Lazer Frenzy for each child 1 cupcake per child (candles included) Unlimited pizza for adults (during eating time) Unlimited soda for adults 20 Invitations + Thank you cards I don't even know where to begin I mentioned I was having 100 people & they only provided 20 invitations. 1. I had asked to be able to eat in the open cafeteria instead of cramping my 100 guests into a small room weeks before the party. They insisted we would all fit. We all did not fit and everyone started to make their way to the open area for fresh air. 2. chicken fingers & fries. They are baked instead of fried(even better) except they both came out burnt. Guests & kids were not happy. They also forgot to bring out coffee & fruit....... 3. I asked for extra tables. It took me asking 3 different employees before getting a table after 30 minutes 4. I had multiple people throughout the night ask me how they were able to do rock climbing / laser tag. There were 0 employees Attending the play area. 0 employees in the room helping me with food. 5. I had asked to bring my own alcohol & I was denied because they sold their own. What I am so devastated by is that I just attended a party there the other week. 1.THE PARTY WAS IN THE OPEN CAFETERIA AREA 4. Laser tag & rock climbing had set times where employees were out there assisting 5.THEY PROVIDED THEIR OWN ALCOHOL I paid over 2,000 for this party for it to be a complete shit show. The bounce houses are very poorly maintained. The step ladders going up are torn. One house had a huge hole with a significant amount of air coming out of it. It was clear it was previously stitched. I was on it with my two year old and it was deflating pretty quickly--scary. I told them and they did acknowledge it. The jungle gym areas also have places that are torn and are also stitched--unclear how sturdy those are and if it's standard to just stitch them. Previously took my toddler to the "toddler area" which had multiple broken games (some with sharp edges). Overall for the price not worth it to come with your two year old especially when you're concerned about safety the entire time. It's not very well maintained. read more

Such a great kids place!! They've only been open since March of this year and everything is brand new and clean :) We've come here twice and always have hours of fun! The price is reasonable, you really get your money's worth. Ages 3 and under is 16.75$ and infants and adults are free! Their age limit to play is 12 yrs old according to one of the staff members but I believe it should be for kids 8 and under. They get the most out of it. They have two giant inflatable slides and then a huge jungle gym with slides, trampolines and bounce swings. They also have some arcade games that you need a card to play with , each game costs like a 1$ to play. They have a miniature lazer game spot next to the prizes as well, (Tickets =prizes). A toddler zone is available for kids under the age of 3, with musical toys and a mini merry go round which the kids are a huge fan of. The two times I've been I don't see the staff on the floor around the slides or jungle gym so it's definitely a place that needs parental supervision. They are always out with Clorox wipes, vacuum and glass cleaners, they're definitely trying to keep it clean and new :) no shoes are allowed on the carpeted area so make sure to bring socks! Strollers are not allowed on the floor either so just be aware of that. Complimentary lockers are available for any of your personal belongings as well :) The food is ok and it takes forever to come out, so if you're planning on eating lunch there, order ahead of time and they'll call you on the loudspeaker to let you know it's ready :) Burgers, hot dogs, French fries , Mac and cheese and more ! We brought our 1yr old here for some indoor play time for her birthday and we all had a blast. It's $10 to get in for 1-2yr olds and free for adults which was nice. She had been there before so they asked her name/birthday so that's how they knew to charge her (no lying about ages here). Infants are free. We headed over to the small toddler area where the walls were lined with all sorts of auditory and tactile toys, a small merry-go-round, and other soft toys that they can climb on. Very cool little area but it was hard to keep her contained after she saw all of the blow up slides and jungle gyms. Children under 36' have to be accompanied by an adult on the bigger slides and gyms so make sure you have comfortable clothes on and get in there! Climbing all of these things is definitely not for the faint of heart since you'll have to carry your kid up and over all over (if they cant climb yet), but it's so much fun! I think we had as much fun as our daughter did! There is also arcade games and a lazer tag game but I didn't notice the price of them. Xplore was very clean. You have to take your shoes off and no strollers allowed on the carpet. They also have an area to order food but for the prices I saw, you're better off grabbing lunch in Port Jeff somewhere before or afterwards. We will definitely be back for more fun! read more

I took my 15 month old here for some open play etime. It was $10 for kids. Adults free. The place was clean. Not as clean as I expected but decent. The toddler section was ok. Compared to Safari Adventure in Riverhead ( same company. Different locations) this place had more sensory and tactile toys on the walls of the play area. Still, there wasn't much for a toddler to do. They had a little kid slide that was not worth it. The slide at Safari Adventure was much better. If they both combines their toys and slides it might be worth the time and money to bring a toddler. The food was pretty expensive for low quality freezer food. But it's a nice option to have in a place when you have kids running around and get hungry or thirsty. Was hard to take pictures because their were other kids around and I was trying to respect their privacy. read more

Editing my original birthday booking process review (5 stars) to a birthday party review!!! UPDATED JUNE 3, 2018 We had my son's 4th birthday party in the Xloft. The room is extremely comfortable and spacious with it's own elevator which was AMAZING for my elderly grandparents and some physically challenged family members. There were couches, multiple tables, and ability to control air conditioning and the radio volume. It was extremely clean and welcoming while being modern yet fun! The party hosts were on top of everything and checked in not too much and not too little, and were available in a moment I never once had to look for someone. They were on top of my needs and my guests too. There is so much for the kids to do! Lots of games that are very well maintained, clean and new condition. The inflatables were extremely clean as was the jungle gym. The food was delicious and the pizza was surprisingly the biggest hit with the adults! The cupcakes that came with the party were so good and the whipped cream was such a treat (who makes that!!???). I cannot speak highly enough of our experience and of my son's 28 little friends and 46 adults in attendance I have been telling everyone to book!!!! And folks - SPRING FOR THE XLOFT!!! It's truly worth every penny and has a real VIP vibe. The staff overall were amazing and really regulated in their assigned areas when it came to older and younger children being on the same inflatable at the same time. This is my first and only time coming to this place. I have to write this review immediately the same night because my wife and I are very angry at their staffs. I have 2 young daughter at 5 and 3. We were invited for a friend's daughter birthday party at this location on 12/15/18. The party went well that all the kids had fun. It was during the free play after the party, something very unpleasant happened. My 3 years old daughter who weighs about 28 lbs was on 1 of the smaller inflatable climbing slides while I was watching her. My little 1 was half way to the top. Then a girl who is at least 10 years who is about 140lbs jumped onto the slide. This bigger girl was climbing behind her and bouncing on the steps. I was paying full attention and my wife was also around. As a dad, I think that a little challenge to my girl could be a good thing. My little 1 was struggling to the top. When my little was 1 step to the top, the girl kept bouncing heavily and planning to jump over her. When my wife and I noticed it, we started to yell to get this bigger girl the attention. She jumped over my daughter. When this girl slid down, we yelled to her that she should never jump over other children and should wait for other children who were in front of her and what if you fell on them. Then, this girl was telling us that she fell. I told her that she did not fell when she landed on 2 feet. Then, she cried and ran to her mommy who was at the eating area. I believe that the cry or the mom got the staff's attention. The staff and the mom started talking and my wife and I walked over to them. The mom told us not to yell at her child. Then, I was asking her, "Where were you?" and pointing to the sign on the inflatable stating "Do not enter without adult supervision". The mom kept saying that we should go to her if something happened. We said to her, "By the time we came to you, my child might had a broken back or neck if she fell on her." Then she stated again that she should not yell at her. If she was there watching her own kid, we wouldn't need to yell. The supervisor separated us and wanted to talk to the mom and kid for a while. A couple minutes later, the supervisor came to us and told us that we should not yell at our customers and if there's something happened that we should look for them instead. Then, I told her that if the mom truly obeyed the rule supervising her kid instead of enjoying her meal, this could be avoided. And by the time, we'd found any staff and something serious might had happened. My wife then said, she yelled because we felt that she was endangering my child's life. The supervisor suggested to look at their camera/ video and investigated. We both said go ahead. I assumed that the staff would not think that we were serious and tried to end this conversation by offering us juice, food, and etc. My wife told her that my daughter was fine and we did not need any of these stuff. The staff happily left us because we did not ask for anything. We just told ourselves that we would not come back at all. And all my friends saw what happened and I am sure that they won't host any birthday party there. My advice to all parents who plan to go there. Please make sure to watch your children. Also, there are 5 play areas in the facility. Only 2 areas - a play area for 3 years old and under and an obstacle course on the left corner of the facility have a staff watching. Both inflatable slides and the soft playground have no staffs watching. There are a few teenagers keep vacuuming the carpet and walking around. Lastly, they told us not to yell at other customers, but then it is okay to have other customer endangering other customer's children? Also, to them, we are not customers because we are just a guest to a birthday party? read more

This is really a great place to bring the kiddos on a rainy day. My daughter is 2.5 and I love that there is a truly separate toddler play area. Its packed with things perfect for her age! She could honestly spend an afternoon just in the toddler area. There is a mini foam merry go round, a bounce space ship and lots of fun toys, slides and bouncers. The place is exceptionally clean and rules are enforced (which I appreciate so very much, thank you!) I knew this would be a great place because I had been taking my daughter to safari adventure in riverhead and the same owner opened this. Two very similar places but the toddler section at xplore blows safari adventure away! Theres a million things for the big kids to do as well. There are several big bouncer slides and an enormous jungle gym. The cons, there are few but one that I will comment on is that you cannot bring in your own food. Management says that they can accommodate all allergies but they can not. My family has many food sensitivities such as gluten dairy and sugar and its easiest for me to bring in my own. Another thing, which is not theirfault, is the place is huge. My daughter went missing there for about 10 minutes while I panicked. There were a million kids there! I finally found her underneath the several story obsitcle course (after my mild heart attack of course!) Overall I am grateful to have xplore right in my neighborhood. It beats driving to riverhead and is a great place for a day if fun and exploring :) read more

Cute place. I liked taking the kids on a rainy day and went to a bday party there and decided to have my kids party there. What an expensive mistake. They start counting down the seconds the minute the party starts. Prob almost 1,000 for party with a character, but we were very rushed...get pizza, juice and cupcakes. All the while a 14 year old in a headset is rushing us around. And to boot as they are shoving the bill in ur face there is a 20% suggested gratuity on top of ur 850$ bill. Came here with the kids and cousins to kill some time. Completely new compared to the last time we were here years ago. It's bright....clean....and well managed. Good variety of activities for the kids including a jungle gym, bouncy slides, and arcade games The staff is very attentive in making sure the facility is well kept. Even today there was a mild power surge which cut the power for less than a second. Management spring into action immediately to invoke safety procedures for the bouncy houses to ensure it was vacated in the event the inflators failed due to the power surge. As a parent I appreciate them doing this to ensure the safety of the kids The facility is clean. Went here with my family for some indoor fun, my daughter loves bouncy obstacles and slides and I had seen they had a ropes course / zipline for toddlers. I'm always kind of skeptical about these large indoor playspaces because they all seem kind of disorganized and not very clean to me. Xplore was the total opposite, the staff was very friendly, the space was well organized and it seemed very clean. Everyone going into the space of play areas even the arcade games part has to remove their shoes and they had a large amount of cubbies and FREE lockers to store all your stuff. Loved that so we didn't have to lug around all our coats and my tote bag. We went on a Saturday early afternoon and it was crowded but not overwhelming, they had maybe two or three birthday parties going on. All in all the time there flowed really well. My daughter loved the large obstacle play pen type thing, she was able to climb, jump, run across bridges and go down slides. The ropes course / zip line was so cool, she did like it but it was a very different experiance for her so at first she was hesitent, I think when we go back again she will love it more. A couple of things to note: They have a small area for like 1-2year olds I would say thats closed off with soft items to ride on and some tumbling mats and sensory activity for the younger crowd, there is a small cafe serving food and drink - like pizza and fries etc., the arcade area had two or three play till you win games which I thought was great so the kids don't go home empty handed and they have a small area to redeem your "tickets" (all points go on a game card) with the typical cheap plastic toys and candy. Looks like downstairs they had a party room and also upstairs a larger party room that overlooks the whole play space via large floor to ceiling windows. The nylon flooring that keeps the kids from falling through the play structures, and give some gnarly rug burns and cuts and scrapes. I can barely sit as I type this due to the large scrape under my right thigh. My son fell hard on the slippery floor where you put your shoes on and eat anything you want to buy in the cafe, get your prizes: all are extreme danger zones and I walked here barefoot to avoid falling with my daughter in my arms. I told the staff my son fell and they just looked at me. I guess signing the waiver at the door signs your life away. The staff member at the prize counter confirmed he has seen many falls and has also fallen repeatedly himself ( as well as many of the staff). My friends daughter knocked her head hard on a pole coming down a slide and had to spend the rest of her afternoon with ice and then the doctors office. I will never be back and will be mentioning this in many local parenting online groups. Boycott this place as it is unsafe for our children and the establishment hides behind their waive read more

1st time here. Took my 2 toddlers grandkids and teenager grandson. Place very clean. Staff friendly. The toddler area clean. No staff was at this area to supervise older kids coming in. After my grandchild got hit with this large object thrown by a 8 year old. My daughter got into altercation with other mother. Had there been a staff member posted at this area. This incident wouldn't have had happen. Once reported, they immediately sent someone over there. I was disappointed because there continued to be older children inside and they weren't there to watch over their little sibs. The staff member wasn't even looking inside the toddler area. Such a great place for kids of all ages. I love how they ask for socks only on the play area to keep it as clean as possible. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, fun and clean place for their children! To top it all off, the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly.
