So close, no cigar

This is such a fun time. Jamie was so great, helpful and patient. She explained the rules to us really well (especially since it was our first time) unfortunately we were running a little late do they had to start before we got there which is completely understandable but it was a great time. We were actually about to leave but she reminded us to take a group photo which was the point of the night to celebrate my friends birthday. We will be back. She event suggested a room for us. Thanks Jamie!

Escape Plan Sixty is the hands down most high tech game on Long Island. If you have played escape games so far, you will appreciate the lack of clunky locks, lots of electro magnets and sensor tricks here. If you have never played, this place will set the bar pretty high... quiet and cozy atmosphere, great for friends and family night!

The first escape room that we went into was a cuckoo's nest. Unfortunately when we were doing this…read moreescape room, we felt like there were so many red herrings and distractions in this escape room. A lot of the red herrings included inconsistencies in the clues that didn't match up. For example one puzzle piece not lining up with another puzzle piece. Without giving away the room or how to solve the puzzle it is hard to describe it. This room we were not able to complete within the allotted time. The next room we attempted was home alone. This room had a linear set up and provided a balance between distractions and puzzles. I felt like there was a lot of potential in the 3rd room that could have been exploited but wasn't just to make it simple for the solvers. This room was a really good room. Unfortunately, the fine print. You need to know how to properly use a combination lock. This includes the regular ones (3 turns to the right, pass the first number going to the left, and directly to the last number going to the right) as well as directional locks (left, right, up, and down) know how to do these prior to attempting these escape rooms. If you dont know how to do them it could lead to your down fall. When you are doing these look EVERYWHERE. The details are in the fine print. Have different people looking in different places, and scream out what you think is relevant. Good luck.

Since I read there would be walking & riddles to be solved. And the older fam aren't too fond of the unknown & puzzle solving LOL. The ones that responded decided as a group to do the Cupcake Conundrum in Patchogue. What a great way to explore the different shops on Main St. I don't wanna give too much away because that's where the fun is. Solving the clues & finding the next spot. We got to try Locale where we dined on Mussels in wine sauce & a Margherita Pizza. Both were delicious! That's where we got our first clue. Then there was The Paper Doll Curiosity Shoppe which we all loved and Todd was so friendly & such a pleasure to talk with. Fun stuff in the store. Like the funky glasses with mustaches that we received & wore for the rest of the day like it was normal. We were stopped several times by curious onlookers who wanted to know about the glasses. We proudly told them "We're Food Detectives!!" LOL Several wonderful restaurants including 2 desserts. All of the food was delicious & enjoyable. Remember drinks are not included, and we were fine with that. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. A great way to get to know more about Patchogue's updated Main St. Fun times were had by all! 10-21-2018
