I recently came here for a child's 5th birthday party on a Saturday from 3PM-5PM. It's located in a…read morestrip mall that looks pretty abandoned so there's plenty of parking. It's a cute spot for younger kids as there's two little bounce houses and plenty of toys up front. There was also a hoop in the back for older kids but I would still say this facility is more for younger kids like 5 years old and under. There were kid sized tables as well as adult sized tables in the front which was nice so you could sit if you wanted. There were also benches by the bounce houses which the adults utilized. I'm assuming this setup is just for parties and not for open play/classes. The two hosts for the party who I'm assuming we're the owners were very friendly and approachable. The kids and adults both had pizza and the drink options were apple juice and sodas. I know there was a bathroom in the back which I did not utilize. At the end of the party, there was a little play dough type St. Patrick's theme goody bag (which my toddler loved) and water bottle given out. All of the kids at the party looked like they had a great time. Mine was very upset when the party was over and time to go home. Overall, as someone who attended a birthday party here, I would definitely recommend it for a younger child's birthday party!

The owner even made special homemade play dough with cute themed toys and beads in them for us and our guests. The kids had the most amazing time bouncing on all of the bounce houses. The smaller kids loved all the toys they had lines along the wall. The price was the best I have found in Suffolk county 2 hours for 10 kids and they shut the place down to the public which is huge for me because I have two kids under 5 and it's just safer not having outsiders there. The adults felt like they could relax because the place is big but not so big that you can let your kid go wild on the bounce houses without being right there you can see them. Great value for money, wonderful staff that's caring and everything came together easily. You can have a great party and not stress about anything. Just show up. Highly recommended.

The good is that kids skate and have fun and it's mostly run by nice people however today at 7:30…read moreit was 80° and I asked somebody behind a very thick pane of glass why the air-conditioning isn't on she said what air? This is the town run building and then I could feel the breeze from inside her a little office. It's going to be 97° and they will be bringing campers inside to get them out of the heat outside and it will be just hot inside . They absolutely have an ability to cool the building down otherwise they would have a melted ice rink Lol Bethpage Rinx has air conditioning all summer . When I looked it up, this is what it says :While not explicitly requiring air conditioning, the need to maintain acceptable indoor air quality and manage humidity levels in indoor skating rinks, particularly those using resurfacing machines, often necessitates the use of robust ventilation systems that may include air conditioning or other cooling components. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency notes this may include equipping facilities with two ventilation units, one for the rink and one for public areas. Important Note: Specific local codes and ordinances within individual towns and counties may impose additional requirements regarding air conditioning or indoor climate control in public buildings, so checking with the relevant local authorities is always advisable.

A classic. Normal ice skating rink in suburbia…read more As a teen, we would all go to "Friday Night Skate" public skate. Food is basic, but there are plentyyyy of vending machines. You can get things from new laces to Gatorade. I think there might be a claw game also. A bunch of benches there to change. We used to leave our bag or sweatshirts there on busy days They have adjusted well to COVID-19 and have temperature checks and a form at entry. I appreciate that as many places do not so temperature checks at all. The gentleman working at the on-site skate shop was very friendly and helped a lot. He sized my foot and gave me 3 boots to try on. Turns out I have a wide foot according to the Reidell sizing guide and I never knew. He didn't put pressure on me to purchase immediately, but I will be back! They also sell some apparel which is cute.

Smithtown Recreation organizes a canoe trip once a year. Starts by the small park by the "Bull"…read moreand ends in Kings Park. It's about 6 miles and 21/2 hours of canoeing. I give it 3 stars because: I am brand new to canoeing. They give you 30 seconds of instruction. The head guy doesn't seem to want to be bothered to elaborate on the instructions. He says, "Oh, it's all common sense." (It's not common sense if you've never done it before.) I capsized my canoe, I went all underwater. These cheerleader type 20yr. something girls came by to help and laughed it off. It's not a laughing matter if the canoe falls over you and you go over your head underwater. The organization should have professional canoe people rowing near the group to check on you. The organization just sends you off on your own. Also, the life jacket they gave me , the belt was broken. The jacket was useless. Coming back, unloading, I told one of the canoe guys that I capsized, he laughed it off. The 12 year old rich, bored blond boy from the canoe company laughed it off and looked at me like I was a bug. They said, "that will be a story to tell." (again, not a laughing matter!) If you go, just take sunblock and car keys in your canoe. Do not stretch to the other person, or move a whole lot. The boat is very sensitive to balance. I also saw and smelled a canoe that had 2 young 20yr. something guys smoking something funny, and I can clearly see him drinking a beer. There are no formal rest stops. To park your canoe on a narrow stretch of muddy sand and trees is too much of a pain. Nobody helps you. But, once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. Don't forget to sunblock your legs, face, and arms!
