The large space houses 2 escape rooms. They are related and tell a story so there is a sequence to what room comes first. This first room was challenging but not impossible. An early mistake sort of locked us out of moving forward for a few minutes which messed us up in the end as we did not escape. The challenge to the room is partially because it is not linear game play. This automatically makes things more difficult (or at least for me!). The story line is detailed and intriguing. The puzzles are unique- you're not going to find a ton of locks and keys. These are interactive, interesting and higher tech puzzles than just about anywhere else we've been. I won't say more because I don't want to ruin anything for potential players! I highly recommend giving this escape room a try! This one has a backstory and atmosphere that is darker and more ominous than a basic scary mansion theme. It is an immersive experience of being in an old house that is haunted and tormented by evil spirits and the tragic end of the family that lived there. It packs a lot in a small space with some jump scares and it is probably best for a group of 4 to 6 people. Some of the puzzles can be challenging so it's good to have help. The final stages of the game really elevate the experience as your time ticks down and urgency increases. The tasks to be solved become more sinister in nature but also were the most fun part. Our package included a breakfast buffet and I received so many compliments on the food. Everyone had a blast in the rooms - especially the bridal party. Rob was so easy to work with - accommodating us with literally ANYTHING we needed and allowed us more than enough time to set up and hang out after the party. The party room was a perfect size (we had 45-50 people) and we were able to make it our own with our lock & key theme. I saw that Experiment VR opened a new location in North Haven, not far from where I live, and…read moredecided to give it a try! While I had never been to a VR arcade before, I have used an Oculus headset in the past and so I more or less knew what to expect. The staff member working at the time, Scott, was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me an overview of all the different games that were available to play. For Room-Scale VR, they have 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute play times. I paid for 30 minutes, which was $28. I started off with an archery game called Elvin Assassin, where I had to defend a castle from orcs who were invading. I felt like Robin Hood, it was so fun! Next I played a Rythmatic 2 game (which was similar to Beat Saber) where I had to use light sabers to slash beats of music as they flew toward me. This one also required some shuffling back and forth, and I was honestly a little out of breath by the time I finished! I ended with a game called Ragnarock, which was another music game where you're sailing on a viking ship and need to pound drums with giant hammers to the sound of the beat. I was able to play all three games within the 30-minute session. I had a really fun time and can't wait to go back! I would highly recommend for a night out with friends, birthday party, etc.
