For someone who has never done an escape room, I am incredibly surprised that I enjoyed it so much so I'm itching to do another one! I did an escape room as a team building exercise and we did Jungle 2. We've been told we need not have done Jungle to do this room. We received a link for the waiver as soon as we got the reservation. It laid out all the rules too. There are a handful of parking spaces in front of the venue for ease of access. Upon arrival, we all checked in watched a video to give us the premise of the game. I loved all the puzzles in the game! I want to same more but don't want to give anything away. Nick was an amazing host and game master through it all and helped us along the way when we needed to make it out of the game! I can't wait to come back! read more

Our family of 4 has been here twice. Both games were very different, but both a ton of fun. Highly recommend!

We did not know what to expect as we did a puzzle room about 10 years ago. The pre-videos are interesting and the storyline was engaging Our 5 children ages 15-23 and us parents all really enjoyed our experience doing the Rebel Run Train puzzle! We ended up having to open 6 doors and all of us had a part in figuring out the puzzles. Yes we used hints but we got the last puzzle done within seconds of the time running out! I have done over 60 escape rooms. Puzzle Theory had the best sets I have seen. We did Warehouse 13 and PT Railways Spectral Run. We would have done more but the next opening was six hours later and we do not live nearby. read more

Friends and I had a fun time! I had only done 1 escape room years ago at a different location so I wasn't sure what to expect nowadays. It was 3 of us and we did the jungle theme with unlimited hints! We tried to limit our hint use but I liked not having to worry we would run out and be stuck. My friend booked the reservation so I am not sure if it tells you a suggested party size, but there were 3 of us (2 females around 5'6 ,1 male 6'4) and I feel like any more than that would've felt cramped in the room. For just the 3 of us we were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. I also like how the room had a place for you to put your belongings (I feel like the first escape room I did made us hand in our cell phones and other items?? But maybe I'm misremembering) so you didn't have to be parted from them. I would return again! Definitely want to try the wizard themed one. read more

Honestly one of the best nights I've had in awhile. From the very start you get greeted by the front desk people and immediately starting the adventure. We finished with 16 seconds to spare! The room that we did was spectral rift on 8/10 difficulty. I felt like I was on a game show LOL the exhilarating chills that you get when you finish or unlock the next part of the game is great. I've only done 3 escape rooms and two of them were at Puzzle Theory. The first was the Jungle Dimension. This room was great! Had a feel of jumanji and a really good flow to the story and interesting puzzles to solve. We were told that the Missing Doctor (their first room I believe) would only be around for a few more weeks so we came back 2 weeks later and did that room. I have to agree that it was time for a refresh, there were some puzzles where you could almost see the answer because of the wear and tear on the item. I'm looking forward to what they install next and will be going back to check it out. The puzzle master gives an informative intro before you head into the room, they're great with hints when you need them and they give you a little prize if you win and you always get a fun group photo. What a great escape room! I visited this escape room with four other people. Three of us were seasoned, the other two were pretty new to escape rooms. It was a challenging room, but not in a frustrating way. Our whole group had an absolutely fantastic time. The puzzles are unique and fun to solve. Another thing I liked was just because an item in the room was used, that didn't necessarily mean the item was done. So it gave an even more challenging aspect to the game, not knowing if something needed to be used more than once. The room is also broken down into multiple small rooms, with use of giant LEGO block "walls." I loved the use of this, because being able to unlock doors and "level up" through the room really sets the mood. You feel like you're accomplishing so much when you can open a door and get a whole new set of things to paw through. I really enjoyed this escape room. I want to visit again when I'm in the area and try the "hard" room. We finished the "medium" room with zero hints and almost 20 minutes to go. I look forward to seeing the challenge of the harder room! read more

Overall opinion: we enjoyed Dimension Gate. Without giving too much away, the story line and the last task is very corny but we still had a lot of fun. Most of the people in my party have had a couple of escape rooms under their belt, but we also had some newbies so we chose an "easier room". However, I definitely felt that it was challenging enough for people of mixed levels. In addition to a display, where the guides can give you hints if they think you are stuck, there is also a "help" option available. Our favorite part of the room was the mix of puzzles. My only gripe was with the very first task they gave us before we entered the room, which had no relevance to the experience because they didn't tie it back into the story line. The room is listed for 4 people, but they were very accommodating in adding another person last minute. The guide was also very thorough in explaining everything. If you managed to escape the room (which we did), you receive a small token, which I thought was a nice touch. read more

This was one of the best escape room experiences we've had. I was starting to lose hope in the business model but it turns out I was just going to some subpar impostors. Puzzle Theory is the real deal. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible, the story arc was good, and the host was fantastic. Amazing experience. Super immersive and overall, just so well designed and planned out. I did a 6/10 for difficulty and it was a little tricky, but it wasn't impossible. I loved the way it was like 3-4 different rooms for the hour because it made it a lot more entertaining and kept us all occupied for the whole hour. This was really fun and I would go back and do it again. The room was difficult for us and we did not escape unfortunately.

Our group of four included an 8th grader a college sophomore and two grown ups. We did the puzzle room called The Experiment. the introduction and actual implementation of this escape room we're by far the best of any of the Escape rooms we have been to in Connecticut. The mystery took all of our Ingenuity a little bit of luck and a few clues that we asked for to help us out. The puzzle was very involving And We Were Somehow able to solve it with 3 minutes left to spare in our hour. One of the good things about this establishment is that when you book The Escape room, you are booking it only for your group. Other puzzle rooms will fill in every remaining slot available and you are then paired with strangers. In this case if you book it it is only your group's experience. Every puzzle room is different and I have been to 2 others besides this one but the thought process to put this one room was fantastic! We as a group of 6 had a blast in the one hour time slot. It's a great team building activity and brain teaser, much more useful that being a couch potato in front of the TV! It was funny and the puzzles were sometimes mind blowing! Coincidentally we had watched Jumanji a few months before, and the room felt a little like it was inspired by the movie. We've been to plenty of escape rooms and this time we went was on a Monday. The room was okay but there were electrical issues so as we were doing the room the employee had to keep coming in to fix things at one point he brought a ladder in.
