For someone who has never done an escape room, I am incredibly surprised that I enjoyed it so much so I'm itching to do another one! I did an escape room as a team building exercise and we did Jungle 2. We've been told we need not have done Jungle to do this room. We received a link for the waiver as soon as we got the reservation. It laid out all the rules too. There are a handful of parking spaces in front of the venue for ease of access. Upon arrival, we all checked in watched a video to give us the premise of the game. I loved all the puzzles in the game! I want to same more but don't want to give anything away. Nick was an amazing host and game master through it all and helped us along the way when we needed to make it out of the game! I can't wait to come back! read more

Our family of 4 has been here twice. Both games were very different, but both a ton of fun. Highly recommend!

We did not know what to expect as we did a puzzle room about 10 years ago. The pre-videos are interesting and the storyline was engaging Our 5 children ages 15-23 and us parents all really enjoyed our experience doing the Rebel Run Train puzzle! We ended up having to open 6 doors and all of us had a part in figuring out the puzzles. Yes we used hints but we got the last puzzle done within seconds of the time running out! Really fun way to spend time together! read more

Friends and I had a fun time! I had only done 1 escape room years ago at a different location so I wasn't sure what to expect nowadays. It was 3 of us and we did the jungle theme with unlimited hints! We tried to limit our hint use but I liked not having to worry we would run out and be stuck. My friend booked the reservation so I am not sure if it tells you a suggested party size, but there were 3 of us (2 females around 5'6 ,1 male 6'4) and I feel like any more than that would've felt cramped in the room. For just the 3 of us we were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. I also like how the room had a place for you to put your belongings (I feel like the first escape room I did made us hand in our cell phones and other items?? But maybe I'm misremembering) so you didn't have to be parted from them. I would return again! Definitely want to try the wizard themed one. read more

This experience really made me want to come back and make this a frequent activity cause let me tell you this was amazing! Very perfectly set up, and the customer service was also excellent. The puzzles were very well thought out, interesting themes, challenging as well! Will be coming back soon! Loved every minute! read more

I have done over 60 escape rooms. Puzzle Theory had the best sets I have seen. We did Warehouse 13 and PT Railways Spectral Run. We would have done more but the next opening was six hours later and we do not live nearby. read more

This is our second time at Puzzle Theory, and we love it! The folks there greet you so nicely and give you all the info you need. The rooms are so awesome, well thought out and F-U-N! We've done a 2 person and a 4 person and can't wait to go back. read more

Great experience for our whole group of 7. Fun opportunity for everyone of mixed ages from 15-46 to contribute in Jungle 2. From the moment we walked in it was a fun environment. Multiple rooms keeps it interesting. read more

Honestly one of the best nights I've had in awhile. From the very start you get greeted by the front desk people and immediately starting the adventure. We finished with 16 seconds to spare! The room that we did was spectral rift on 8/10 difficulty. I felt like I was on a game show LOL the exhilarating chills that you get when you finish or unlock the next part of the game is great. Rumor has it that their first room, jungle something, is going to be redesigned into something spectacular so I'm really looking forward to doing it read more

Wonderful experience! Really fun way to spend an hour with family!! Thoughtful design and great value.

This was our second time here. Both times were really fun! We chose a more challenging escape room this time and had a blast. The staff is always very helpful. I definitely recommend Puzzle Theory!! read more

I've only done 3 escape rooms and two of them were at Puzzle Theory. The first was the Jungle Dimension. This room was great! Had a feel of jumanji and a really good flow to the story and interesting puzzles to solve. We were told that the Missing Doctor (their first room I believe) would only be around for a few more weeks so we came back 2 weeks later and did that room. I have to agree that it was time for a refresh, there were some puzzles where you could almost see the answer because of the wear and tear on the item. I'm looking forward to what they install next and will be going back to check it out. The puzzle master gives an informative intro before you head into the room, they're great with hints when you need them and they give you a little prize if you win and you always get a fun group photo. Recommended! read more

We had a great time in the jungle room. Very well done and definitely planning our next trip. Thank you Nick and Peter!

We have now done 3 escape rooms here and loved them all! Peter has been excellent every time we have visited! The detail and puzzles in the rooms keep us coming back! read more

This was our second time at puzzle theory and the experience has been consistently pleasant! The jungle is a fun room that can be played by two ppl, we escape with literally one sec to spare. Matt was a friendly and helpful game master. Definitely will be back with a larger group. read more

What a great escape room! I visited this escape room with four other people. Three of us were seasoned, the other two were pretty new to escape rooms. It was a challenging room, but not in a frustrating way. Our whole group had an absolutely fantastic time. The puzzles are unique and fun to solve. Another thing I liked was just because an item in the room was used, that didn't necessarily mean the item was done. So it gave an even more challenging aspect to the game, not knowing if something needed to be used more than once. The room is also broken down into multiple small rooms, with use of giant LEGO block "walls." I loved the use of this, because being able to unlock doors and "level up" through the room really sets the mood. You feel like you're accomplishing so much when you can open a door and get a whole new set of things to paw through. I really enjoyed this escape room. I want to visit again when I'm in the area and try the "hard" room. We finished the "medium" room with zero hints and almost 20 minutes to go. I look forward to seeing the challenge of the harder room! read more

Great Rooms. Game master allowed us to go at it alone. Thanks to the owner who took the time to talk and engage with us. Rooms did not disappoint read more

Great place and helpful staff. The ability to receive hints helped quite a bit! Prices are on the higher side but worth it for a unique experience! read more

Great experience. A group of 8 of us did PT Railways: Rebel Run and it was super engaging and clever. We made it out with 1 second to spare, and 3 clues. Super fun night. read more

I had so much fun at this escape room! It was challenging!! I truly believe the creators are geniuses..so well thought out and implemented. I did the jungle room with my 11 year old and her friends. We had a blast! Would definitely recommend. I have ant to go back with friends to try other rooms. read more

This was one of the best escape room experiences we've had. I was starting to lose hope in the business model but it turns out I was just going to some subpar impostors. Puzzle Theory is the real deal. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible, the story arc was good, and the host was fantastic. We wound up getting out of The Missing Doctor in time and without hints! Looking forward to coming back to try the other rooms. I highly recommend Puzzle Theory. read more

Great escape room! We did the railroad room. Multiple room, good challenges and fun detail. Will be back to try another room soon

We did the PT Railways: Spectral Rift. What a fun adventure! It was difficult enough to keep us engaged, but not too difficult where we would want to give up. It was well thought out, thought-provoking, and overall a great experience. They put a lot of effort into their puzzles and that shines through. Would highly recommend coming here - we can't wait to come back for the Warehouse 13 room! read more

Our first time ever in an escape room and we had so much fun! Loved that it was just the four of us from our family in the room. Our guide was so patient and understanding with us and our adhd!!! Thankful for him and all the hints he sent our way! We'll definitely come back and try another room soon! read more

Totally fun. Very exciting in the initial stage as it was mysterious and the instructions were in character! I think this was one of my most fave rooms here, although every one we have done has been too notch. Good group of guys running it. The puzzles are fun and our group of four was perfect for us. The special effects were so fun. Will always come back! read more

Amazing experience. Super immersive and overall, just so well designed and planned out. I did a 6/10 for difficulty and it was a little tricky, but it wasn't impossible. I loved the way it was like 3-4 different rooms for the hour because it made it a lot more entertaining and kept us all occupied for the whole hour. Definitely am going back and doing a different room!! read more

Definitely one of the best escape rooms I've been to! Great workers and rooms that are made too quality. I've done a lot of escape rooms before, but this is the best one hands down. The puzzles were super unique, and the stories were super interesting. Thank you to Peter and the rest of the staff here! 10/10, would come back again! read more

Our group of four included an 8th grader a college sophomore and two grown ups. We did the puzzle room called The Experiment. the introduction and actual implementation of this escape room we're by far the best of any of the Escape rooms we have been to in Connecticut. The mystery took all of our Ingenuity a little bit of luck and a few clues that we asked for to help us out. The puzzle was very involving And We Were Somehow able to solve it with 3 minutes left to spare in our hour. One of the good things about this establishment is that when you book The Escape room, you are booking it only for your group. Other puzzle rooms will fill in every remaining slot available and you are then paired with strangers. In this case if you book it it is only your group's experience. I will readily come back and do the two other rooms that are located at this place read more

This was really fun and I would go back and do it again. The room was difficult for us and we did not escape unfortunately.

Overall opinion: we enjoyed Dimension Gate. Without giving too much away, the story line and the last task is very corny but we still had a lot of fun. Most of the people in my party have had a couple of escape rooms under their belt, but we also had some newbies so we chose an "easier room". However, I definitely felt that it was challenging enough for people of mixed levels. In addition to a display, where the guides can give you hints if they think you are stuck, there is also a "help" option available. Our favorite part of the room was the mix of puzzles. My only gripe was with the very first task they gave us before we entered the room, which had no relevance to the experience because they didn't tie it back into the story line. The room is listed for 4 people, but they were very accommodating in adding another person last minute. The guide was also very thorough in explaining everything. If you managed to escape the room (which we did), you receive a small token, which I thought was a nice touch. read more

Owner and staff very personable. The Interview was so much fun! Would absolutely recommend to my friends. Can't wait to go back and try out The Missing Doctor! read more

We did the wizarding realm escape room which was a lot of fun. It was only two of us and the puzzles were challenging but a lot of fun. You really felt like you were apart of the wizard world. Staff was friendly and loved explaining the room after playing. I also loved that they keep each room private, they won't put strangers with you which made me feel better since Covid19. Would love to go back and try the other rooms! read more

Puzzle theory is the best place ever. ON EARTH. idk bout mars tho. or the jungle dimension. anyways the guy who works behind the counter- Larry, Lareth, Jerry, Jerreth, Kenny, Kenneth, Benny, Benneth (we're not really sure those are our guesses)- is the BEST MAN EVER. he's so kind and even let us check in when we lost our keys in our own car. He won't let you bring in a flamethrower tho. But that's chill. You really should come here I highly recommend it's seriously a good time. read more

Every puzzle room is different and I have been to 2 others besides this one but the thought process to put this one room was fantastic! We as a group of 6 had a blast in the one hour time slot. It's a great team building activity and brain teaser, much more useful that being a couch potato in front of the TV! It was funny and the puzzles were sometimes mind blowing! We did the Missing Doctor Room and for a small room with 2 adjoining ones, the hour was almost not enough! Would recommend time and time again and be willing to see what else they have up their sleeves! Thanks for the fun times Puzzle Theory! read more

My husband and I took our daughter and her friends for her 12th birthday, and had a super fun time solving the Jungle Dimension room. Coincidentally we had watched Jumanji a few months before, and the room felt a little like it was inspired by the movie. We only finished all the puzzles with 2 minutes to spare, so it was definitely well matched for us. Definitely worth checking out! read more

This was my first escape room, and I LOVED it! My fiancé and I managed to complete it with a whopping 39 seconds to spare. It was a blast. We were just visiting Connecticut for a short vacation, so while we're not likely to have another opportunity to try out another room, if we ever do find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, I absolutely will go again. HIGHLY recommended!! If you have a chance, GO! read more

We're did the Wizards Realm this New Years Eve What a rush. We live a good escape room and this one was excellent! Excellent variety of puzzles, great props, and our game master Nick (the other Nick :) was top notch! We will be back! Don't hesitate just book it! It's an excellent time! read more

We came for PT Railways: Spectral Rift and were really impressed. Both PT Railways puzzles operate out of the same set of spaces, but the puzzles themselves were entirely different! A very well done space and puzzle! The staff were great and added to the overall experience. We will definitely be back for more escape rooms at Puzzle Theory! read more

We've been to plenty of escape rooms and this time we went was on a Monday. The room was okay but there were electrical issues so as we were doing the room the employee had to keep coming in to fix things at one point he brought a ladder in. Though he did stop our time; it really took from the experience. read more

So much fun. Went there for niece's birthday. Very challenging but worth it. Staff was great! Guys were welcoming, funny, and intelligent. Will defimitely go back to try another room! read more
